Man getting Kraven then Peter fight back to back was INSANE. I did not expect that when playing. Miles is such an MVP in this game as well.

Oh, I definitely noticed that. Venom goes into a hard pivot from "kill my enemies" to "heal the world" after that point. I thought it was a great evolution of the symbiote as a character, the way it picks up on what its host is feeling and amplifies that to dangerous levels, even when the host themselves would never want that.

The scream Peter does before breaking the cage is one of the most badass things of all time. Props to yuri Lowenthal for pulling a Sean schemal

I love how the first cut scene with venom teases your expectations by having Spider-Man take the exact pose and camera angle. You would get when you’re about to enter combat… only for Norman to interrupt it, and subvert your expectations, leading to the Venom level

I always loved a doppelganger style boss fight in games, and the one with Peter in this was just insane

The fact pete was fighting venom from the inside the entire time just shows how crazy his mental strength is. Wish they would of made it worse tho, in the sense peter actually loses it and almost reaches symbiosis with venom. Then have peter beat miles so badly to the point he finally realizes he's about to kill one of his best friends and snaps himself out of it, forcing venom out.

The Venom arc in this game is the same as his comic series Maximum Venom. It was all about Venom infecting people with his symbiote and he even got wings in the comic.

@@Spider-Man.AntiVenomThat may not be the name of the comic but, the cartoon was adapted from it. This isn't a Web of Shadows thing. Only Mary Jane even becomes a boss level Symbiote. The Venom in this is the same one from the comics where he creates his own army of Symbiotes. I might have gotten the name from Maximum Carnage since it's Venoms version of that series.

The Peter boss is the best boss in my opinion. And I thought all the bosses were good. Its the emotion that really gets it for me. You can really feel Peter’s anger and pain. He’s been through so much. Also just being on the way to f Kraven up and hearing the symbiote to kill was just a very crazy moment. I love this game.

6:14 It's not stupid, if Peter didn't rip open the wall to actually get at the bell, Kraven would have been able to stunlock him throughout their entire second round. Sure, he was in pain as he got closer to it, but he was at least now within range to web it up.

I like how Venom didn't outshine Kraven. Kraven was a badass till the end, I really liked the character. You knew he meant business when he had Scorpion held by the neck, ripped the sting from his tail and stabbed the man with it. He also killed The Vulture and Shocker off-screen, which was badass as well. Funny how they never mentioned Rhino, would make sense to hunt him down as well. Tbh, Kraven as a Villain won since he got exactly what he was searching for, and tbh, Venom was the ultimate beast he could have hunted for in Insomniac Spiderman universe.

I also loved Kraven in this game. He was no joke, and the game never treated him like it. I also agree with what you said about Venom not outshining Kraven being a good thing because, even though I like both of them, Otto definitely outshined Li in the first game, and they were both kind of the same villain because they both had the same goal: ruin Osborn.

I do think however Otto outshining him was very intentional since Mr Negative was never a Tier S villain if compared to Kraven, Venom or Dr. Octopus, they just needed Li to fill the shoe while they developed Otto personality and arc with Peter from good to insane, which has always been their tragic story as he was Peter greatest mentor besides Uncle Ben. Btw, I watched No Way Home after beating the game and watching Dr. Octopus from the first ever Spiderman trilogy complete his arc and becoming a good guy again was such a fan service it made my skin crawl. They literally closed the arc of a character from a movie that launched 22 years ago in the best way possible. That was my first Spiderman movie, so it was very emotional to see that. I also loved that Green Goblin kept being the asshole he was. My conclusion is that the Green Goblin persona was indeed evil, and Osbourne was just not a good person, so in the end, the Green Goblin serum just amplified what was already rotten in him. Big text, I just like Spiderman a lot lol.

True, the Venom design was amazing. I also found it pretty clever how Peter black suit started like a battle exo suit and as long as the game progressed, it turned into some sort of organic gross veiny being getting tangled within his body.

Kraven is dying and wants an equal for his final hunt. He doesn’t want to die in a sick bed; he wants to die in a fight. This was hinted throughout the game, but easily missable.

The kraven v Symbiote Spidey (part 2) is hands down the most difficult boss fight in the game on difficulty level Ultimate. The final Venom boss fight is surprisingly easy or not so difficult

Its awesome to be able to play venom again last time we were able to do it was in ultimate spider-man back in the ps2 era

And by that, I mean bosses that you took control of before you fight them in a sequel, much less a prequel, or at the very least, played major roles as player characters in the same game you fight them in. I loved this game I just feel like they should’ve done more to distinguish Peter from miles. In Combat miles abilities and animations came off as way more enjoyable and impactful, they should’ve made Peter like faster or stronger in a tangible way from miles or even has some ability limitations or augmentations between the two to give some incentive to switching more often, for me until the game made me play as Peter I only played as miles, I will say though that Peter had a better story line and better suits, I hate all the liberties they take with Miles’s suit design comes off very cringe at times (encoded suit was the best tho), this is my unsolicited critique as an unknown random man on the internet 9.2/10
