I am constantly comparing him with Howard. Both were given similar death sentences, but Kraven ran from his family to die in a blaze of glory leaving his family to be destroyed, Howard sought a new home for his family. I think the comparison was intentionally put in the game. Can't wait to see what the DLC will be not that there are many characters left in the game, at least for the villains.

About the Li fight, when he's in his bubble you just need to perfectly dodge his attacks until lightning strike is full and then you can lightning strike him out of the bubble. Idk if thats the intended mechanic there since you can change Miles' abilities, but it makes the fight a lot more interesting.

@@SwanyPlaysGamesactually not true , unfortunately I didn’t use the lightning strike as I didn’t have it equipped , but I cant remember what it’s called , but miles L1 triangle allowed me to teleport into Martins bubble and strike him. I thought that’s how you would do it originally

Thing is, they do explain in the game how Kraven has his strength, but I assume some people don't bother with the stealth because they like to blaze through it. Personally I prefer smaller details being revealed through goons rather than Kraven having you pinned and going, "Now that I have you trapped, Spider-Man, I shall reveal to you how I have come to be such a menace, like you. It all started when I ate this plant..." And I wouldn't exactly say that Kraven was put into the game just because. He's the driving force for what happens throughout most of the game, sort of the catalyst if you will. Yeah, the final big bad was Venom, but Kraven is what caused all the events to lead up to that act to happen. All because he was obsessed with having a final hunt that would result in his death at the hands of an equal. It's probably just me, but he didn't feel forced in whatsoever.

Kraven has superhuman strength, agility, senses, and slowed ageing. In the comics he gained these powers through ingesting many secret jungle herbs and potions found in many of the lands he hunted in.

Facs, same with @DarkClassicGamer. Lizard was tedious bc you couldn’t normally dodge his tail and you had to jump. Scream was hard bc it had 4 PHASES, that’s like the amount of phases as a final boss, and her hair was hard to avoid bc it felt like it had infinite range 😂

I struggled with all the boss fights, even the mini bosses, but it’s probably cause I played in spectacular mode

To me, all of the bosses are fantastic. I loved memorizing their moves so I could perfectly counter them. I died a few times on most of the bosses, but that allowed me to deepen my knowledge and ability to master the mechanics

About Miles being put 2nd in the story: This is the sequel to the first game, this is more peters journey. Miles still had his moments but this game was made for Peter to tackle his own issues and overcome them.

he had the teleport slash that he would do multiple times in a row, then a parry move, then a crush move, then a bubble, then his horizontal attack , then he pulls you into negative new york, that was sooo dope!

This is one of the few games where I was more intrigued with the dialogue than the actual gameplay fights. There was so much emotion and story telling where half the time I was just listening to the dialogue rather than actually fighting 😅

In my opinion, I MUCH prefer the final boss as my number one, all of the emotions going through it and was pretty hard

What was the biggest weakness of the first couple of games in my opinion has turned into one of the best thing about this game. I'm glad the game had me struggling in spectular difficulty for a change. My only nitpick is that the parry button and the prompt during attacks is not reliable most of the time.

Yeah your spiders se triggers before the parry window so you have to rely on the yellow flash on the enemy and not your spidersense

@@DaemonSharkSpiritOfFire Depending on the enemy, it goes from white flash to "bam" too late, or with some others it starts yellow and I wait and wait for it to go red but they take forever but by the time it goes red it's too late. Sometimes I'll press the button early and it still works and other time I get the timing right but it doesn't.

Kraven is just amazing, insomniac made him one of my favorite villians for spiderman, he's a beast, just a giga chad that I respect so much. This guy literally conquered every land and country he went to. Hunted everything he could, even sneaked in wakanda and got out undetected. All so he could die, he literally refuses to die in a deathbed but rathen he wants to die with honor fighting an equal. He wants to die but refuses to lose to any inferior beings, he gives his all in all his fights. Even with venom. He knows he is gonna lose but still fights until the end. Only an equal may taste his last breath. Such an underrated villian. So glad what they did for his story. His boss was so hard on spectacular, yet amazing

The fact that you feel so powerful and invincible as venom symbolizes how Harry feels with the symbiote on, like he can do so much more than ever before. I would have liked if you played as Peter in the Peter vs miles boss fight so like venom could talk to you in your head and tell you to kill miles even though Peter doesn’t want to ( and the worst part would be that you would control Peter and do the dirty work to realize how Peter feels under the influence of the symbiote )

Kraven was amazing in this as a villain. He was done justice in here. He was always one dimensional. Kraven is menacing and he has a reason for what he does

we all knew it was coming and still the Miles vs Peter boss fight was so awesome for me. reminded me of Link vs Shadow Link but just so epic with the build up and setting of it. the dialogue really hit too with the two of them going back and forth.

I was actually humbled by lizard, really didn’t expect the boss fights to be so tough, after that though I got better at using the parry, oh and mr negative is the only boss who has attacks that cannot be dodged or parried but must be jumped over

My favorite boss fights were hands down Miles & Peter, as well as Kraven & Venom. so I agree with you on that.

This is definitely based on personal experience of how your fights played out. The Lizard was really hard because of the brutal guessing game of whether you had to dodge or parry his next attack and how unforgiving the timing windows were. Miles vs Li was also better for me. The bubble only lasted a couple seconds until you could use your abilities to break it in one shot and it only happened a couple times. The rest of each phase was a normal back and forth boss fight with great visuals and story. Idk if I’d raise its ranking though, but that’s because every boss fight is pretty damn great.

When I got to finally play as venom, I felt like I was playing a newer version of Hulk ultimate destruction, and it was amazing

Kraven is terminaly ill, that's why he hunts superhumain so much because he wanted a warriors death. The reason his so strong is because he took animal injections, which made him so strong.

Even in the one mission where you are like a spider spy there's lore on his family his cancer and even the thing that makes him strong as well as in the MJ mission there's voice recordings where kraven is describing how he killed certain villains. I honestly feel like anyone who says Kraven doesn't make sense or was bad just don't understand his arc whatsoever

I want to add that because you mentioned that it wasn’t discussed why Kraven was so powerful. It was revealed at the dinner party mission when sleuthing around his office. Pete discovered chemotherapy drugs as well as strength enhancers mentioned in a small line of dialogue.

The fact you put the mister negative last shows how good this game was. I really enjoyed the fight and the impact it had on Miles. Every fight was better than every fight in the first game. Worst fight in terms of difficultly was venom vs Kraven. I wish it was harder. But I get from a story point of view why it isn’t, as it wants to show you how OP venom is.

Most of the bosses were really hard for me because I was on the hardest difficulty and didn’t upgrade until after I finished the main story because I like the game hard. I loved all the boss fights because of it that way I didn’t feel like I was op

It’s funny you brought up the police not helping at all because I had the same thought. I think I laughed out loud when I was playing and noticed the first time I saw a cop in game was when kraven was killed. 😂

In the 90s cartoon/comics he was a big game hunter and got injured to the point of death… his love interest was a doctor and she gave him a herb (I believe imo the heart shaped herb) that gave him super human abilities but corrupted his mind SN the best part of the scream fight was when she told that fool he can’t keep a job 😂😂 … 🤔 does anyone else feel like Miles was the stronger of the 2 in this game?

Two things about Kraven: 1. His operation was a secret. Yes it was big but you never get a sense that anybody really knows about it in my opinion. 2. Kraven being super strong is kinda the point of his character. He is just a dude, but that’s why it’s so cool when he can go toe to toe with Spider-Man. He’s been training his whole life for this. Great vid, I just thought I should bring up those to points.

As for the kraken plot complaint, the hunters use the blinds and buy abandoned buildings for bases and mj says all sources "disappear", they cover there tracks really well and that's why the military and cops don't help

When your on the mission with Peter when you encounter kravens pet tiger theirs this red liquid in a bottle that when interacted with Pete says something along the lines of “so this is why kravens so strong?” And personally I loved kraven more than I did venom his backstory motivations and family dynamic/drama made for a real interesting character

This game was awesome! This is what the story in a comic book movie looks should look like SN just got my Platinum

For the Mister Negative fight, when he’s in the bubble- you hit him with your web shooters to gain up focus and hit him with a venom special attack/electricity. It breaks it and makes the fight quicker and easier!

Not sure if you did this on purpose but you didn’t include the Wraith boss fight from the flame side mission. Even though it wasn’t apart of the main story I feel like it includes an honorable mention because I enjoyed playing through it!

The Kraven vs Venom is my favorite fight because when you fight Kraven as Venom it’s really easy but when you fight Kraven as Peter it’s a really hard fight ( for me it was at least ) showing the difference in power between the two

In regards of kraven this why exploring his mansion and completing his side missions are essential because it tells why he’s superhuman, he takes magical potions that increases his abilities Kraven was lowkey nerfed when he was fighting venom he wasn’t at his peak power and was fatigued bc his fight with miles and Peter and he didn’t have sound based weaponry this time

He was commiting suicide, not a challenge. plus bells and etc would only slow venom down and piss him off more. Pete uses it against him and he wasn't phased for long. If harry wasn't fighting the symbiote, he would've killed Pete a couple of times in the story. No version of kraven stands a chance unfortunately.

personally I would say(on ultimate difficulty, based on enjoyment, emotion and impact) 1: miles vs peter this was the best for me, after dying for like half an hour against kraven and His indestructible dogs I thought I finally had a breath of relief, only to switch to miles and face an evil spiderman. the way peter thinks he's better than before and then miles slaps the truth oitta him about how mj and he needs him..mwah 2: peter vs kraven this fight, is ranked 2 purely because it was so unique and hard to master because kraven had a TON of moves, like he hadthe spear, the sniper, the bell, the dogs, invisible, the hammer, the regular attacks, even blinding me like seriously it was difficult but super cool 3: peter vs wraith the second part of this fight took me around 1 n a half hours to finish, (the part where she blinds you and then attacks and teleports then attacks, and this repeats 5 timed) it was so difficult and I appreciate that after both previous games were easy asf 4.peter vs venom the scenery, the timings and venoms attacks and speech were awesome in this fight, it reminded me of the doc ock fight in 1, without being too easy but still packing the emotion, especially with the setting 5. peter vs lizard AND venom vs kraven both these fights felt far too easy, not even like a boss fight, on ultimate I didn't die once to these fights, as lizard was a little wuss who didn't even try to interrupt my combos, and kraven's healthbar was really small compared to scream or kraven in the peter fight 6. SCREAM!(sorry) for me, this fight was unexpected but SO welcome. Mary Jane as scream(basically shriek) scared me and the combo was awesome, this fight showed how much peter really cares for mj and hit me in the feels 7.sandman fight personally, this fight was awesome, an opportunity to get a glimpse of the new ability's like the arms and web wings. while introducing an iconic spiderman villain. 8. Mr negative this fight annoyed me so much because I apparently can't tell the fckn difference between the animation for when li makes the tornados, and when he makes the flat line to jump over...I died far too many times and I am ashamed of that. but the fight in miles head...was heartbreaking and I really felt for miles as Rio, ganke, Pete and even Jefferson Davies were DIGGING the knife though his back. 9.mysterio lasted like, 5 minutes, no comment but oml the suit was amazing 10. miles vs venom imma be real, this fight sucked...it sucked, the reason it sucked, was venom's wings. on ultimate difficulty, I cannot even tell you how long I spent on this ONE boss fight...was it because I spent all my skill point on the symbiote peter? maybe, was it because my suit techs were entirely devoted to damage and traversal only? very possibly...but is it easier to just say its a bad fight? absolutely. also side note the best suits in the game are easily the green and white superior suit for peter and all 3 symbiote suits for miles, hands down

The police weren’t aware leaving really existed until the took scorpion and li but they had the cloaking Twix and there great at what they do so I just thought of it as like they couldn’t track down kravin

My only issue was that miles and peter never actually fight full on venom like that together in the game, only when he fights Bully Parker

my favourite fight FOR SURE has to be vs Kraven (as Peter). That fight had so much greatness to it. The I will say a VERY close 2nd was the boss you did not include AT ALL in this vid; Peter vs Wraith. That fight went quite hard as well.

Kraven in the comics drinks potions and brews to get really strong and have animal like senses. They reference it in the game somewhere

I’m going to give my ranking and my own reasons why! (I’m excluding the side bosses such as mysterio) The worst main story boss in my opinion is: Symbiote Peter Parker On my first playthrough of the game, I spammed m1 the entire fight and never lost once. On my ultimate difficulty mode playthrough, I found so many odd glitches and bugs with the boss that were so annoying to fight against. Now don’t get me wrong, the dialogue in this fight is one of my favorites in the whole game, and the overall cinematics are really well done, but that’s pretty much my only good critiques about him Coming in second to last is: Scream. Just like the Peter Parker fight, I absolutely loved the dialogue in this fight, the thing that makes it better then the Peter Parker fight is that it’s actually kind of difficult. I failed numerous times until I got the boss which is what I usually want to see in a boss fight. However, I didn’t feel like the boss had a huge impact on the story. You could literally remove scream from the story and the story would still feel the same. Coming in next is: The lizard. Now there is a bit of bias here due to the fact this guy was an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE TO FIGHT in my ultimate playthrough. All bias aside I don’t really have a lot to complain about. The boss felt fair to fight, the dialogue in the fight was good, I guess some of the attacks felt a bit unfair but that’s pretty much all I have to say about him, overall a pretty solid fight that you’ll probably have some sort of fun with every single run. Coming in next is: Mister Negative. I was honestly a bit surprised he was placed so low in the video, because I honestly enjoyed this boss. The boss didn’t feel buggy, the dialogue in the fight was great, and it felt really fun to fight. Overall a very fun boss. Coming in third place is: Kraven The Hunter! Unlike symbiote Peter, this boss fight was honestly the second hardest boss fight in the game for me. And that’s what I love about it! I love the bell gimmick, and how you actually have to focus up to win! Oh. And the dialogue is great! A great boss fight that I had a great time with on both of my playthroughs! Coming in second place is: Venom! Easily the hardest boss in the game for me! The dialogue is fantastic in this boss fight! And the boss was honestly one of the harder video game bosses I fought. And he was definitely worth fighting! A fantastic boss fight! Coming in first place is: MR SANDMAN For a tutorial boss fight, I was absolutely blown away! The way the boss was shown in showing you how to play the game was absolutely genius! I had so much fun with this boss fight and it really helped drag me in to play the rest of the game! A very very very great boss! Conclusion: 7th place: Symbiote Peter 6th place: Scream 5th place: The Lizard 4th place: Mister negative 3rd place: Kravin the hunter 2nd place: Venom 1st place: Mr Sandman

My favorite boss fight was probably spiderman vs spiderman. My least favorite was the venom fight at the school mainly because I had to restart the fight, fell off the field and my game glitched so I could not get back up there.

I highly recommend that you play this game on Ultimate. Yes, the attack patterns are the same but some attacks are pure bs. By that, I mean they are literally one hit kills. Also, you forgot about Wraith. Know she’s not a major boss but you included Mysterio

Its so weird that i felt the opposite when it comes to venom and kraven. I way preferred kravens side of the story and his boss fight compared to venom. Venoms fight felt so short and rushed and didnt have as much variety in his moves meanwhile kraven was so well built up, had such a variety of moves, and i way preferred his motivations compared to venoms, i just love the idea of him wanting a good fight to end his life on his terms

This game was supposed to feature Peter more than Miles because it was his sequel... not Miles'. I was actually disappointed that we were forced to fight Mysterio with Miles instead of being able to choose to fight as Peter because I definitely would've. There's only 1 Spider-Man as far as I'm concerned. Peter first appeared in 1962... Miles didn't show up until 2011. I want to fight ALL the rogue's gallery villains as Peter! I could care less about Miles. I could've done without him.

I think you did the Negative fight wrong… You can use a venom strike to pop his bubble. It was maybe not well telegraphed in-game, but it makes it less of a waiting game

At the time I didn't have upgrades to get abilities to recharge quickly. So I basically had to run around and wait for them to recharge and then attack the bubble.

Ooops. I haven't 100% the game yet. I have like 90% of everything done so I just assumed I had beat every boss because I don't have much left. My bad!

If you're wondering how Kraven the Hunter got his powers its from a potion he got from a witch doctor though it's never confirmed where he got it in the game it is confirmed that he did drink potions. Also in your video you said you wanted to play as Venom they're making a Venom game next year yay.

I just finished it and wow I wasn’t expecting such a challange in the boss fights. While they where frustrating (my biggest struggle was the final stage of venom) it did feel extremely rewarding to win. I remember dying one last time and going “you know what venom f*k you this time it’s personal” and completed it😂. My fav boss was peter

For me, it's Miles vs Peter that's Top 1. I swear, it was pretty inevitable that mentor vs student.... I kinda felt like I had to fight Asch on Tales of the Abyss again, or Albedo in Ben 10.

Persinally i did not like any of the kraven fights they were counter to the way he spoke of himself ... it would have been interesting to have kravens family as mini bosses to get to kraven

peter vs miles shoudl've been higher because the more symbiote abilities you unlock for peter the more abilities he has to fight

I'm really disappointed that 1-2 year experienced Miles with electro-punches beat the shit out of superhero veteran with crazy powerful black goo alien that ALMOST KILLED Kraven. It's ruined symbiote arc really badly, cause, you know, it's PERSONAL story for Peter, where he struggles with his inner demons by HIMSELF. I just can't believe in Miles' victory, just how highscooler can defeat an adult with 10 year fight experience. And also Scream boss fight from plot view is the biggest piece of shit

If Peter was acting stupid in his boss fight that’s on you. They mimic how you play has Peter for when he faces you. You’re playing yourself

You know, I thought that Venom would have been a more interesting boss fight if, true to the comics, venom's attacks didn't trigger spider-sense. Same with Peter vs Miles.

I do not agree at all but no hate, I think that mysterious was way to easy, I beat him with 7 buttons. I think lizard and Martin li should be higher, I also think that the cinematic for sandman was crazy. Overall though, good video!

For me number 1 goes to Miles vs Peter. The cutscenes were sick as fuck in that boss fight

Bruh, how is Kraven 5? He was easily my favorite fight because of his move set and the way he taunts you and talks to you throughout the fight

God this guy doesn’t stop complaining. Even for the higher boss fights, all he did was complain saying it was too easy or too anti climactic or the AI was too stupid BRO APPRECIATE IT FOR WHAT IT IS

What do you expect when you click on a ranking video? Do you want every boss to get 1st place? I listed reasons as to why I liked some bosses more than others based on my experience.

@@SwanyPlaysGames I’m going through each of the rankings, and each one is just complaining about the boss. Even the “praise” you give is a backhanded compliment. But now that I’m thinking about it, a lot of your content is dark souls or souls like stuff, which is torturous in terms of difficulty. So it makes sense that the bosses in this game for you were just fun or entertaining at best

Lots of people here already said what I was going to say. Lizard was tough, Kraven motivations were clear as day, and the order I disagree with but I don't argue with opinions.

Venom vs kraven wasn’t a boss fight, it was a god damn execution

The only boss fight that even gave me much of any trouble was Lizard

Lizard fore was actually pretty hard. Scream was crazy hard and kraven ,man he came at me full steam. Mr Mehative was just far too long, it was what 6 or 7 different rounds? Thats ab as far as i am right now
