@@braxinIV some people can buy *multiple* high end sports cars like a fully kitted McLaren *per month* by selling bathtub water .... You can literally get rich with almost anything as long as you have the lack of consciousness to make a group of people addicted to your content and then slowly reduce the free content. Not saying D&D youtubers do it, but most online entertainment started using the good old "get them hooked for free and then start increasing the price" tactic of drug selling. Nobody ever paid for his first shot of heroin. And humans can get addicted to anything, even to watching the reactions of people watching movies online.

Seems like one of the aesthetics they’re going for this time around, and I’m very good with that. It’s a smart adjacent marketing move and further reinforces the accessibility aspect of 5e, plus it really actually fits. I can’t wait to DM haughty militant space elves, boisterous Giff marines and the menagerie of creatures & races that I think will be reminiscent of Sigil to me.

Well Guardians of the Galaxy did give me the vibes of a D&D adventuring party. They are a bunch of misfits that are seeking a quick score but get drawn into the much larger threat.

I love Deborah Ann Woll so so so so much, but every time I see her I get reminded that Daredevil got cancelled & I get sad again.

@@quincybriley4113 I don't support Disney so I didn't know that. But good to hear. I remember her saying that she's had trouble finding work since the cancellation (I think that's partially why she started appearing so much in the D&D community). But hopefully that changes if it does get renewed

A joke that completely flew by without a reaction from the players: "A mohawk that trails off to dreadlocks behind him, an a scar shaped like a star pattern over his right eye that is completely white--and his other eye is jet black... and the only really distinguishing thing about him is his scimitar which hangs very low on his hip."

I only knew four of these folks before now, but Todd, Gina, and Meagan were *so* much fun! Riddle's "Torven, is it time to play Hide 'n' Seek now?" was great, Torven's entire revolt was amazing, and everything Bác Sĩ did was hilarious. I loved the others, too, but I already knew I would going into this 😃 I don't know much about Spelljammer other than "it's D&D in space", but so far, this is perfection and I want more!

I can't believe Gina Darling is playing. One of my all time favorite influencers.

G damn that's one awesome 80s intro. 10 year old me would not have missed that cartoon for anything. I'd probably have a few "action figures" and play them alongside my Turtles, He-Man and GI-Joe figures.

If anything bad happens to Handsome George and Jimmy Legs I will be very sad.

Brennan always has the perfect/funniest names for NPC’s. I love it!

I completely missed this because I was watching the Crit Role Red Nose Day special, but holy hell this is an awesome cast and an awesome band of characters! Very GOTG lineup of oddball goofballs.

It looks like 9 guest players. And Brennan appears to be scheduled to DM the 1st four episodes with Aabria as the 1st guest. If they keep that format then they’ve mapped out maybe 9 months of episodes.

The captain realizing he has a 6 month old crewmember is GOLD!! You can see everyone thinking and deciding if that's evil/bad. 🤣

I don't know if she did it on purpose but when Gina introduced herself saying "I'm Bac Si!" it gave me early KZread flashbacks.

the beginning of this ep is the greatest live play false start ever loved every awkward moment and giggle.

I've never played in my decades of playing... but watching Brendan gm and the others ... I have new respect for Spelljammer!

I remember playing this the first time it came around lol. The great cast can't wait to see this play out. I'm just getting back into D&D so learning the 5th edition as a Dragonborn Barbarian. I've only seen Black Dice Society so I'm enjoying seeing B.Dave as a player.

I got to say, I'm unfamiliar with all of these people, but this was an absolute delight to listen to. Everyone's characters are engaging, and the DM's voice work is outstanding. Definitely will be checking in on the rest of these as they pop up.

this was really cool, I didn't really have any experience with any of these players except for aabria. Heard of most of these people and I enjoyed it a lot. Can't wait what weird sh*t they are all gonna get into. As a somewhat new player, 5e being my first, I had no idea what spelljammer was really like until very recently and it sounded so fun and amazing so this taking place right after the announcements is awesome. Really makes me want to play in the setting for sure. I just have to say though, Riddle's character art is on of the most amazing pieces i have ever seen for any d&d character. That face and vibe. I didnt even know she was an autognome until she announced it. I can see this (well without the wheels) as a f'd up version of a drow too. The face in the artwork is so expressive and badass, I love it and actually I have to admit that art was one of the reasons I definitely didn't wanna pass on checking this out. I gotta find out who drew it.
