I got to his channel after his passing but the knowledge he left is priceless

Believe it or not, my mother introduced me to the speedbag about 10 years ago..I came out to visit my grandfolks and there she is in the back yard. Tells me "son, you have to get in a rhythm!" Since then Ive dabbled with it. Finally did myself a solid, and made my own platform and got it nice and solid/rigid. I thought I was gonna be blazing on it.. But ive never had the honor and luck of witnessing such artistic craftsmanship and mastery of anything on KZread, let alone speedbag tutorials. Your profiund ability to simultaneously instruct guidfully whilst gracefully stressing "slow first" has totally changed my whole appreciation for this sport/art/expression.. Ive been blessed today to stumble across a inspiration that doesnt come from how to videos on youtube. But from years of focus and determination. Appreciate your videos and proper way to hit the bag. With the tips I've picked up from your videos my skills are improving everyday just hitting the bag for 30 min.

Thanks for this video, I appreciated the tips. Slowing down and staying focused on the basics is essential before learning anything, if you rush off and try and do the advanced techniques first, without a true understanding of the basics and the mentality required, you will get frustrated and give up on something you could end being good at, if you only had a little patience. I myself still have a lot to learn and sometimes patience is the hardest thing to learn in life 🤣 Cheers again 👍

After a series of injuries I had to step back a bit from historical fencing and was looking around.. landed by punch professor and have to thank you for your way of teaching. It also shows a lot of patience behind all these skill. So waving my fencing hat from Germany and god bless you .

Hello Punch Professor I had an injury and was unable to Lift weights or continue on my fitness goals. . . I slowly got it back in the gym and started working the speed bag, After a few weeks and getting a little better I started doing research and came across your video. . . What an eye-opener that was I quickly realized I didn’t have the basics down I then began to retrain myself without any bad habits and have progressively gotten much better I have been sharing your videos with all my friends to teach them how. Just got to know about you you few months agoI train in Wing Chun and Seven star praying mantis Kung Fu and few months ago I bought speed bag and double end bag to go along with my wooden dummy and wall and heavy bag training. Your videos have been interesting and helpful . Thank you. I have been working with speed bag for about 6 months. Your speed bag video was the first one I used and I learned all the techniques you demonstrated. I’m getting pretty decent with my hands but not so confident in my speed bag footwork. Trying to use falling steps on punch while visualizing alternating block /punch. Or sometimes I mimic jumping rope while I hit speed bag. Would love your thoughts on speed bag footwork variation and especially the applications of them. God bless . Keep those hands up everyone and be safe! You got the right idea mimic the steps and of the jump rope * With my Bag Setup, I have the advantage of going 360 around the bag as mine is not against the wall. Perhaps try toes on the floor and light bounce on your heals without lifting the toes .. Perhaps you will find it easier to control? ? ? Slow and easy is the ticket ! Also I put some tires about knee high bolted together and the double end right in the middle. And I use it for kick boxing. Has lasted longer than anybag I've purchased

How about a guess and a suggestion ? I think the Speed Bag is 7X10 yet it might be 6X9? The Gloves are one of about 4 pairs I have that I have bought at an Army&Navy Store/Military Supply Stores for about 30 dollars... I have another pair of brown ones made by McGregor, that have KEVLAR on the Knuckles, (My favorite) which a friend bought for me ! So look for them in Army & Navy type stores ! I hope that is helpful ! Paul D' The Punch Professor

tylertalkstrash * * * * * I appreciate the great compliment* I don't think I ever knew the name of the gloves and they have no name on them... I bought them in an Army&Navy store... They are utilized by special forces, and such ... They have just enough protection on the knuckles ... I like them, and they work good for me! Almost every Army surplus store should have a selection of these type of gloves for between 30 and 40 dollars ! Real nice ones with kevlar on the kmuckles (stuff they use in bullet proof vests) for about 50 bucks***** I hope that helps Paulie D' The Punch Professor

I believe the Bag is 7 by 10 but I ain't real sure? The gloves I got in an Army Navy Story ~ Army supply store ! Special Forces utilize them .. Cost about 30 dollars...Some good mechanic gloves are just as good and easy to find ! True Paul D', The Punch Professor

The Swivel I utilized in this video is not adequate, I intend to order in the next day or two from Title Boxing Online... Been Dealing with them for about 20 years now. They are good about taking things back if need be, also they toss in some free bees every once in a while.. The Swivel in the video was cheap, I may modified it to make it useful... When I missed in the video it was truly the swivel fault ! It is the only one I have now... When I order I will let you know which swivel I order.. Title Boxing has a great online catalog, get a chance go and check it out... We are the same age ! PunchProfessor You voice sounds like your from New York. I live in Albany, NY. My wife and I have been thinking about moving south. Where we can find a good church that's spirit filled.I was raised by Christian parents that I'm very fortunate for. We have two good boys who went to Liberty University. And they love the Lord. Yes the signs are here, and they have my attention more every day ! We will stay in touch ... Gary , I have not yet made my order to Title Boxing as I like to deal over the phone and they are only do business via the internet website due to germs ! I wanted to give to the the SKU # for the Speed Bag Swivels that interest me ... In their catalog they posted that tey are out of stock but due in soon... I find some of the cheaper ones as good as the big money $ $ $ Kind ! First one SKU PPD PST ~ Second one SKU DPS EZ ~ Third one SKU PS EZ I am hoping the open the phones next week ! Vincent Lopez * * * * * I have no idea, how many lbs. in my Speed Bags ! I fill so I can easy squeeze my bags by hand...Over fill blows the blatter... My bags last for years.... gg io * * * * * Thank You for Watching ! As an Amateur during High School . I was attacked during a Civil Right Era Riot @ my High School, and knocked into a comma. It's a long story, I may tell it some day. I then became my trainers assistant... My trainer was Maceo, the best Trainer in Miami in them days . Maceo was from Cuba.. I learned from the Best. Been doing boxing for more than 50 years ! I try not to ever Hate anyone for any reason, but people are difficult ! I like Dogs... True Paul D'Antuono

@@AssMuncher995 I will keep it short I don't want to write a book? I went to a black high school the same year the bastards killed Dr. Martin Luther King ! I had more black friends than anyone ! We had terrible riots in My high school and people were killed ... The year I started high school was the first year they put blacks and whites together in the same schools ... Do some resarch on The Civil Rights Riots... My face was the first white face to come around the corner, and The black guy ( Sammy Foster) NEVER forgot his name , did not know me, sucker punched me with something in his hand, I fell back and hit my head on the concrete !
