On Day 23 of our Round The World Trip with Star Alliance, it was our final day in Barcelona, Spain. We started off the day with a truly outstanding seafood meal, and then we visited FC Barcelona Camp Nou.
1:23 Can Maño Restaurant - To begin this day in Barcelona we headed to an area of town called Barceloneta, which is near the sea. Although I had wanted to try a different restaurant which was closed, we then proceeded on to Can Maño Restaurant which proved to be a fantastic decision and the best meal I ate in Barcelona. The small restaurant specializes in seafood, and we ordered grilled sardines, fried anchovies, and a plate of gamberi which were shrimp. The food was outstanding, and while everything was good, the absolute highlight was the plate of shrimp that was doused in olive oil and covered in a layer of garlic. They were amazing, and I loved the atmosphere and food at Can Maño Restaurant in Barcelona. Total price - 37 EUR

10:38 FC Barcelona Camp Nou tour - Camp Nou Experience - 23.95 EUR per person - Unfortunately during the summer when I was in Barcelona, FC Barcelona was not in season. Probably one of the reasons Barcelona is so famous around the world is because of their football club. So we bought tickets to go to the Camp Nou Experience to go to the stadium and take a tour. Overall it was a fun experience, but I would have really loved to go to an actual match.
15:18 Tapas 24 - After the FC Barcelona Camp Nou tour experience, we headed back into the center of Barcelona, did some shopping and then I came across Tapas 24, one of the famous trendy tapas bars in Barcelona that many people had recommended I try when I was in Barcelona. It’s a very expensive tapas bar, but it does have some character and they do have some unique and modern tapas. I ordered a king crab salad, their legendary Bikini de Carles Abellan which is a grilled cheese and ham sandwich, and finally la bomba de la Barceloneta. All the tapas were good, but I had to stop myself from ordering more because you could spend a fortune if you kept eating at Tapas 24. Total price - 32.90 EUR
19:43 Teruel Restaurant - For dinner, there was a restaurant very near to our hotel called Teruel Restaurant, and we stopped for an early dinner. We started off with the cod salad which was refreshing and then Ying and I shared the hake fish steak and beef short ribs. The beef short ribs were pretty tough but the hake was very good, although a bit plain. It wasn’t the best meal, but it was hearty and they served huge portion sizes. Total price - 28.10 EUR
Day 23 was an excellent final day of food and attractions in Barcelona. I enjoyed visiting Nou Camp, but by far the highlight of my day was eating that incredible seafood meal at Can Maño Restaurant.

Not sure why some people are so surprised this was filmed in August. Mark and Ying filmed for 40 consecutive days and upload videos only twice a week. Do the math. This delay is very common for many professional Vloggers. Another excellent day in Barcelona. 👍👍

I am watching this to plan my spring break trip to spain n Portugal. At first i was taking notes, then I realized why not take a look at his website? Smart idea n save me a lot of time. My son and I have been there last year, too! We loved Barcelona very much. But we were glad it wasn't too crowded when we were at Camp Nou
Each and every time Mr Mark displays his enjoyment while eating, it makes me smile as well. And after 20 minutes or so,I'm not hungry any more, but I usually need to take a nap after watching:)

Anthony White I think tapas is a great way to eat and socialize with people and lots of wine, that relaxed comfortable atmosphere is what I love , Michelin star restaurants are great if you have like a bucket list place that you have to eat at and spend a bucket ton of money.

Iren, Most tapas places are just as expensive and adds up pretty quickly. Even Mark comments in the video how expensive it was and how it would have been easy to spend a fortune there since the servings are so small. The idea is great but prices are ridiculous for both

The tomatoes bread you had is very classic appetiser in those areas of spain. I think it is my favourite meal! You will probably see a lot more of it

If you look carefully in the videos you can see Ying wearing loose clothes and the way she walks. Also on the last video you can notice a little bit ying is pregnant. But on the following videos coming up and you will see it more and more

Asia spoils you with really cheap prices for quality food, easy to get shocked with high prices elsewhere. But I'd be very happy with 100 Euros a day for 2 in Spain. Mark could eat cheaper in Spain but remember he is a food reviewer and it is part of his business. For work I traveled all over America by company car, when not with clients, I ate a lot of very cheap but great lite Subway sandwiches and banked a lot of my set personal food per-diem.

Been watching your videos for a while and usually enjoy them. It's obvious to me that you've been enjoying this trip quite bit, but I have rarely ever seen you have any objectivity about food. You seem to like pretty much everything. It's perfectly ok to say. "Wow that wasn't very good". I've seen too many times when you've eaten something and are obviously faking a smile when it wasn't very good. Be objective and real, everything isn't always perfect.

He is a very courteous person and doesn't want to insult anyone. He doesn't want anyone to be afraid of him visiting and filming. I'm sure all of the food he eats is decent. He mentioned in the last part that the food was very 'plain', but decent quality ingredients, and good atmosphere. You just have to learn to interpret the "Wiens Leans". lol. If he just smiles, it's just 'OK'. If he leans to 11 o'clock, its very good. 10 o'clock and it is very, very good. If he gets to 9 o'clock, it is excellent. If he gets down around 8 o'clock, the food is nearing orgasmic. He's yet to eat anything that has made him fall over yet, but maybe some day. :-)

Mark I just love your videos and eating. I have traveled all over the world but now getting older and I no longer walk on the uneven pavement and the crowds. I love talking to othe people and cultures. I find it better to stay out of the tourist traps. Most people are very friendly. Now in the lockdown I watch your videos multiple times and enjoy each one........... Thank you Mark Ying Micah
People complaining about how expensive the food was must be the type that live in some small town, country type place , never traveled and ignore that in all the world big cities are expensive.But in Spain at least you get the food quality for the amount of money you pay.Now if you just go a few kilometers outside Barcelona you could find family restaurants whit amazing food quality for like 10 euros , wine ,desert and coffee included.

calin vasile My thoughts exactly. Obviously, European restaurants use quality ingredients. It‘s not like some street food stall in India where you might die after you eat, lol.
Bresd with tomato is typical catalan "pa amb tomata" it comes from the past when people had no much money and they had to eat hard bread, they rubbed the tomato in to make it moist and softer so they could eat it
I just love those gamberi looking so yummy and the color is so attractive

Oh Mark, I just laughed way to hard at something you said by accident. I think I am too childish sometimes =p My mind just goes to dirty places! I couldn't help but go there when you said, "the heat from the eggplant is coming on my face" the fact that the eggplant emoji is the symbol for a guy's manhood mixed with, "coming on my face" was just too much. I had to pause the video just to laugh and write this comment! Anyway.... the food looks amazing and Barcelona, Sweden and Rome have seemed like AMAZING places to visit! It's not that people don't love European food, it's just his viewers initially started watching Mark's vlog for Asian food. Now Mark is branching out to European food and his followers aren't as interested. Just my guess.

Added when Mark was in Indonesia and India, there were more people from those countries posting and most stopped watching when he left their country.

It looks like almost 400K people like them, so that's still a huge number. I know I enjoy them because I live in Europe and like to think about other countries to visit in this continent.
