Dear Chef Jean-Pierre, I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate you explaining everything you do in DETAIL! I am a person that wants to always know why. My father passed away at the age of 93. He was Swiss and was raised in Neice France and graduated from Hotel school in Neice. You have no idea how much you remind me of him. My father was quite successful as being a chef. When I watch your cooking shows I compare many things you do with what my father taught me. I must say everything you do is "SPOT ON". I hope the people out there appreciate what you do because cooking is an art, and if you want to be good at anything in life it takes "PASSION". That's what makes you soo good and I thank you for all that you have done. All the best to you.

It’s sooo good huh? I love it 🍝 a quick light substantial meal… we make Chef’s garlic bread 🥖 to accompany and to swipe up the sauce! Look up his garlic 🧄 bread recipe ( and you need not go crazy with the butter 🧈) it’s so delicious, the best we’ve made and tasted! No more frozen, packaged and bland frozen supermarket stuff!! 👨🍳

When I was in my early twenties, my sister taught me how to make this sauce, it was the first thing I ever made from scratch. it set me on a If of loving to cook and now at 63 I sill make is often and it makes me smile every time.

Does anyone else just feel better about everything after watching a CJP video?
We have some fresh tomatoes from my wife’s coworker that will work perfectly for this. I love how your voice gets softer when you describe something you truly love, especially when it’s something you learned from your mother. When you said, “my mom would be proud”, I have no doubt that she is.
You know it is a dish that JP really cares about when he starts talking quieter and quieter, and getting closer to the plate. Almost as if he is telling us a secret.

Everyone should know how to make this dish! This truly is the simplest pasta dish and speaks freshness all over. My dad used to take the tomatoes and basil from his garden and we’d make 5 gallons of this sauce and freeze it. I’d use this sauce a base and start with some anchovy paste and pepperoncino. Great JP!

Well chef, as a former resident of S. Florida; Naples- across the alley from you , basically lol! There are a few dishes that I miss from there I bet that a majority have never seen let alone eaten that watch your show. first. Florida lobster and smallneck clams over pasta in a delicate shrimp or lobster sauce was my favorite. That and blackenedd Red Snapper. Next Stone crab bisque those seasonal crab legs are to die for to say the least and I miss them more every year from there...

I failed this miserably, in many ways. Entirely my fault. Firstly, I chose some cherry tomatoes that I grow in my backyard, which are sweet and sour. That's my personal preference, but for this recipe I should have listened and chosen something very sweet. Second, these tomatoes have quite a thick skin. Too much skin to chew. Finally, I used too much pasta, the tomato taste got diluted. I'll do better next time.
