They have a SDI module for the ninja V. Just get that and your problems is solved broski.

Yeah I know. Firmware for fx6 was released after this video was made. I instantly bought the sdi module

I'd love to but I have already returned it back to Sony. Haven't quite decided whether to buy one or not because it's not quite useful to me. My colourist friend did the grading

Can you please share more footage of your FX6. I would love to see how the footage looks with no image stabilization or an optically stabilized lens. My concern is the micro jitters while hand holding.

Hi Dave, I have a problem with my ninja V. It seems like when recording with HDMI I get 8 bit quality out of my FX6. What are your experiences?

Hi I'm afraid that I'm no expert when it comes to these technical things... I use Alexas and reds for most of the time. When I have to use fx6/fs7/a7s, I would simply record it with internal codecs because they are good enough for small commercials.

Fx6 is production unit it give 12G SDI out. You buy a SDI module for Ninja V and use it. But yes over hdmi you have this restrictions..

It indeed is very plasticy, but does not feel cheap at all

@@gerthenriksen8818 Sorry I meant to say it feels plasticy, probably because of the overall weight. Venice uses the magnesium alloy too but it feels way rugged than FX6.

Option 1- buy SDI module for Ninja V and it should work. Option 2- it can record ProRes 422HQ via HDMI in 1080p not on 4K

Just get the SDI module for Ninja V. I’m sure someone has already mentioned this but…

I have recently asked Atomos and the answer is no.

Agreed that not having HDMI RAW is a massive let down. Totally bizarre decision by Sony, considering the A7S3 can do it...

😂 First your black magic HDMI to Sdi is only 3G .... would have to b 12 g for it to work if the fx6 was send that signal through HDMI... but since it’s not .. I wonder why you even tried that.,.

FX6 forgot to design a 3.5mm audio input port. Remove the handle and install the stabilizer, it will not be able to record, hahahaha.
