Thank you for this and many other reviews. I'm actually looking at shooting a Pilot with the camera but have never used it. I have a Ronin RS2 and would love to know how you would rig it. I was thinking of purchasing the "Tilta Advanced Ring Grip for DJI RS 2 Gimbal" for more rigging options and control. I will be having a first AC so I will need wireless follow focus for this rig. What are your thoughts?

I’m really you did not automatically go for V Locks, you showed the standard batteries also. Many KZreadrs go straight for V Locks (for looks) without mentioning the substantial cost of the batteries and the additional V lock chargers.

question, so it looks like right now the FX6 is about $6,000. can you tell me about the estimate cost of the other needed gear - mics, mounts, lenses that one would need to buy in addition to operate this camera? not the extra things, but just the other things that is necessary. would it be an additional $3K - $5K? If only it was possible to buy this cam...! out of sale since january in france, preorders only, and big french camera sellers told me sellers from january are still waiting for their FX6. this would be due to two japanese factories who were destroyed, by fire i believe (not sure).

@@CVPTV well I'm looking to sync timecode ideally wirelessly but i sank money into the mixer and the only way I've found was the tenticle sync e. is there another way you've heard of? and if thats a bust i guess just how would ya'll set up the fX6 to work with a mix pre 6

it looked like those shotgun mics were still wobbling a heck of a lot, even with the spacers :/

The Shinobi SDI isn’t made anymore… good luck finding it.

What lens have you got on the FX6 there when it's on the RS2? Is it the 18-105 lens (so it doesn't change length at different zoom lengths)? If so, whats the autofocus like on that (since it's a slightly older lens)?

Im not really into cinema cameras but maybe a more expensive lens or a prime would pair better with a 6/7 thousand dollar cam?

Funny enough, that wasn't the question... I'm after a budget lens to use on a gimbal on a Sony mirrorless B camera, so was interested to know whether that particular lens is any good with its autofocus.

@@user-dh5fp4gw1b Thanks for the info... I've actually had an FX6 on backorder from CVP for a few months now (massively delayed by global shortage), and intend to use more expensive lenses on that - that's why I'm looking at a budget lens for my other camera at the moment!

Can you clear up why the Shinobi SDI was taken off the market? There is no mention anywhere about if it's just temporarily gone or if it will be replaced or why.

@@juranicolas7129 I’m still shooting with an FS700R with a Shogun, Atomos has moved those into “Legacy” products. I think all R&D has gone into the Ninja as it now offers all possible options, plus ProRes RAW via the newest firmware. I hope that helps.

It has scratch audio, but you cannot plug a audio source with the handle off. Jake

HA ha- by the time you add all that stuff you will have spent the cost of the camera again and missed the shot. And it will weigh more than my 10 year old PDW 800 XD Cam
