People like Matti doing "reviews" but essentially just hyping the camera without any usable information to make a purchase decision. And then we have this ACTUAL review. Tons of information and helped me decide if this is the camera for me. Personally, the A7Siii fits better for my needs. Thanks Philip for the extremely helpful video!

The viewfinder is what I miss the most. I'm not a big fan of the loupe that came with my FS7m2 so I won't buy the one Sony ships with the FX9 for the FX6 I've ordered. The Zacuto Z-Finder seems to be OK but it's a bit pricey at € 500 plus VAT for ending up just with a magnification of the original 720p screen. How could Atomos sell me a Ninja which has a lot more features and 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution for € 300 plus VAT?

While I always watch the many KZread reviews of a new Sony Camera once the launch occurs and the review embargo is lifted, I always patiently wait for your review Philip and I’m glad your review always comes a few days to a week after the embargo.. (probably due to Neat video NR rendering your “compact” video in PP) I knew many reviewers would rave about the FX-6 size, specs and the price value for what it can produce, however I can’t think of a DP or film maker I trust more to explain (while entertaining me) ,what lies beneath the surface of a film making tool and what is great, good and what could be so much better with some additional effort. Thank you so much for what you do.

This, and all cameras, are just "one" firmware away from true greatness that will never happen, now or ever, because perfection kills business and business is the last thing to ever get killed.. even people get killed first. My take? There are too many cameras in the market already, just, too many. Just go out, shoot with whatever you have, and if what you create is telling, moving and has substance, positively no one will care what is what shot on, what codec you used or how good the dynamic range is. Another camera that Sony expects to sell to everyone that already has several other cameras because.. well.. it's better in some ways. Thank you for the review.. much better than the camera itself :)

@@frankfeng2701 Yes, fully agreed. But I feel more and more we live in a world of products being purposely released that are targeted for having limited and crippled functions so that you have to buy something else or keep desiring for the next thing.. or at the very least having to spend extra after your purchase along the way to fix things that should not need to be fixed or not having been added in the first place. This is not the question for the perfect camera quest, this is the question of cameras with things that make no sense and that have obvious flaws in an effort to buy several so all together you can actually get a working system with the features you need.

I never thought a camera review would send my cats off looking for the cat trapped in my laptop, but here we are.

You should sell those cat transitions... I think you've got a winner on your hands! 😂

I started to watch this review because I am interested in buying one of this FX6 and I got more confused. Lol, not really! But what I discovered is that now I want to watch all your reviews even if I am not interested in the equipment you review. Your shooting style, the music, the way you cut your videos is amazing. And the icing on the cake is your wonderful sense of humor. You should be making big budget films, not equipment reviews!

Loved the 200p extreme cinematic b-roll "KZread reviewer onOneWheel" satire 😂 and the music choices in this video... beautiful 👍 Thanks for another detailed and super useful review

Once again, perfect review, Philip! I already have a great A-cam, so for my needs: a good b-roll camera that's lightweight with amazing autofocus, ibis, easy to throw on a gimbal... I think I'll stick with my A7S iii pre-order. Nothing against the FX6, just not what I need. Thanks for answering all my questions.

Haha. I like the massage camera holder for the shoulder from ElCheapo ... lol. Great review, fun to watch all of these great reviews. I am very happy with my FX9, but good job to Sony to poking at the competition and offering cameras for all budget and shoot types.
