I think I'll wait until ProRes Raw can be directly manipulated natively in Davinci Resolve, without having to go through the extra step of having to transcode the footage first. Otherwise, SLog3 and ProRes HQ is plenty good enough for most.

@@LightLevity yes. 4K CinemaDNG raw on my Sony FS700R.

wish this had an sdi slot for timecode jam syncing, so that we don't have to rely on battery switching. Haven't used the generic batteries because they aren't recommended, so the expense goes up. Love the improved power though

How would one monitor s-cinetone on the Atomos ninja V? Native seems blown out..

I use FX9 to record RAW by connecting XDCA-fx9 and ATOMOS ULTRA. However, when I adjust the EI in the FX9 viewfinder, the correct brightness and waveform height changes are reflected in the waveform graph, but not in the monitoring of ATOMOS ULTRA. The waveform EI and brightness of the external monitor do not change. How can I adjust the EI changes of the FX9 viewfinder and the external ATOMOS recording machine at the same time? Thank you very much!

This all I could find related: Here are some steps you can take to set up the FX6 and Ninja V for Cine EI mode: Go to the Project Menu and navigate to Base Settings Select Cine EI for Shooting Mode Choose a frequency based on your project's final delivery frame rate Change the Image Scan Mode to Full Frame Change the Codec to RAW Select RAW Output Format and choose 3840x2160 Go to the Shooting Menu and scroll to S and Q Motion Set the frame rate to 120 or 100 if you're in the PAL region ??

I know this is an ad, but it's worth suggesting to do a bit of research if this is the best workflow for your scenario. When filming raw, some of the amazing image processing by Sony is not used, so footage can look a lot noisier and uneven.

Hey, when I shoot Prores Raw I don’t have this issue, but I change my output to XAVC I or L to shoot h265 all my camera settings are baked into the appear on the ninja v+ and is baked into image. Any idea what settings to change on the FX6?

Should be under Monitoring > Output display. Make sure the connection mode you are using is "off"

When I set the FX6 output format to UHD via SDI, the Ninja V loses signal. At HD it’s fine. Have a shoot tomorrow. Any thoughts?

I ran into the same issue. This is how I resolved it. Go into the camera display output and turn off SDI then turn on again. Another workaround I discovered when I lost connection to my Atoms monitor, turn the camera and monitor off, then turn your camera on first, then turn your monitor on.

What about cinemadng?

Will the Ninja V also work with the Sony PMW-F3?
