After watching and following your video, I found out my problem is with the same ribbon. Part of its literally cut, so I guess that’s why the LCD wasn’t functioning. I’m going to order a new one and hopefully it works out! Thank you!!

I have a DCR-HC20 and the touch functions work, and the screen partially works, but the sensor that turns on and off the camera when you open the screen has been malfunctioning for years, but finally gave out in january.

This looks complicated. It is beyond me why they ever made a camera with the only way to play it is through the lcd screen!

Where did you order the part from? How do you know how to put it all back together?

Hi, I have a Sony DCR-HC20 with an LCD screen that is unresponsive to touch except when trying to calibrate. However, during the calibration, it never finishes or exits out, but I am able to keep selecting the "x" which moves from three locations. Any idea of what could be the problem in my case?

jhnny321 my touch screen lights up and wants me to set the date but won't respond to touch. I bought this new and have used it very little but now that I have a kid I wanted to drag out my old/new camera. It seems this is a very common quality issue.

I have the same probleme, one time I succeded the calibration and the touche screen was working to change the time but stopped right after

Same problem. I hit reset button but touchscreen lights up fine but non responsive.

Thank you very much sir.. Damn ! I put my cable in.. Camera not responsive to power in any way.. My mistake I have just realised how stupid I have been as the cable I ordered and fit was for 19e and not 22e .. I have ordered a new 22e cable but have I fried my camera as I used the 19e cable and then powered up ?

Hi Sarajen, did you managed to repair your camcoder? I have the same problem here with my DCR-HC17E. I've just replaced the flex cable and my camcoder is dead.

Robotica e Coding Ah, sad man. I was so happy I replaced the cable and put everything together. Btw, my camera turned on for three seconds and since then, it appears to be dead

Здравствуйте! Вышел из строя выносной аккумулятор. Камера больше 5 лет не работала. Купил новый аккумулятор , камера включается и просит установить дату. На дисплее это сделать не получается, не реагирует. Как я понял вышел из строя аккумулятор в самой камере! Подскажите как до него добраться и где он находится?

@@Artyom_Artyomovich Нет!!! Разобрал камеру искал этот аккумулятор , не нашёл. Думаю что он выглядит как батарейка на часах ручных не нашёл.

вскрытие показало ,что пациент умер от вскрытия . попробуй кувалдой разбирать
