Sonny Bill Williams - Midfield Maestro

Спорт

Sonny Bill Williams will be remembered as one of the most creative and destructive midfielders to ever play for the All Blacks. He had amazing hands and an eye for the gap. Unfortunately he had to battle with Ma'a Nonu for the All Blacks' no. 12 jersey. If it wasn't for Nonu's brilliance, Williams would have dominated the position.
Enjoy and thanks for watching!

I tend not to remember his tries.. What remains vivid in my mind from his skills was his ability to pinpoint a dwarf in the misty mountains somewhere which always led to a try.. That ability of his is what really pissed me off as an opposition supporter.. Most of his tries came on a plate but his offloading antics and finding ghosts to score tries was frustrating.. Nuff respect!!

This phenomenal player seems to have been underrated outside New Zealand - I can't think why, he could do everything, and read the game well. I'm an enormous fan of Ma'a Nonu, but I can't separate the two in terms of quality; Nonu perhaps slightly the more dangerous running at the opposition, Williams slightly better at offloading the ball. Two superstars who played in one of the best XVs ever.

Wrong, not well infront of the kicker.. both his legs are actually slightly behind where Kahui makes contact with the ball which is onside. You can be in line with the kicker but not have your feet/legs infront of the where the kick is contacted which Sonny wasn't. He timed that to perfection.
