Solving Algebraic Equations Containing Fractions (Clear of Fractions)

Prior to solving algebraic equations that contain fractions, you need to be quite familiar with fractions and operations on fractions (simplify, multiply, divide, add, and subtract), as well as combining like terms and solving algebraic equations that do not contain fractions. In the video, I solve ten equations that have a variety of fractions arranged in different ways. None of these involve parentheses. To reinforce that you can either "deal with fractions," or "clear of fractions," I solve the same ten problems as I did in the "deal with fractions" video.

5:25. I’m confused about the clearing of the fractions method of solution. In the first steps, why was the 7 introduced twice on the left side of the equal to sign and why was it introduced once in its right side? The same with the 15.

13:45. Why multiply each term with 21? Is this a type of a distributive property at work here? My point being, why not multiply one side with one 21 and the other side with one 21?
