Once again a gentle and a stress free time watching your Vlog, and this one brought back many memories for me when Rich started to talk about those 'dark months' around Xmas. In the dim dark past i did spend some time in England, mainly in London and down on the South Coast, and one of the main reasons in moving back to Sydney were those 'dark months' without seeing the bright sunlight. It is very true of Rich talking about how the weather can change your mind-set, very true indeed.

I know that you mentioned the voltage issue, but in some far north (arctic circle) places, doctors prescribe a type of light box to people that are suffering with the darkness and their mood, mood swings etcetera. I haven’t looked right into this, but I just thought that it was interesting. I remember seeing it on a documentary/science program years ago. Hope you’re enjoying your mooring and the garden is progressing. Take care. 🙂🐿🌈❤️

Wow what a lovely video you made and a wonderful memories you’re making! My parents had a narrow boat when I was a kid/teenager we did some great journeys. It did get a bit much every half term, holiday, being dragged aboard but it was an upgrade from camping and we made our own fun aboard. It really hit its stride when my dad used to throw me the keys when I was 18 for me and my friends to use for Henley regatta, good times, can’t quite believe he did that, what a legend 😎 looking forward to introducing my kids to boating in a few years time. Best of luck, thank you for the vid and here’s to more happy times

Brilliant! I have been you yoghurt pots a few times and they are great, but there is definitely more room on a narrowboat. I hope it goes well on Saturday. Good luck

We do get drawn into thinking about the future sometimes and how long we can do this, but land life does not look very attractive at the moment so we are not prepared to give up yet. Hopefully we have at least a few years left

You can get cheap battery powered LED puck lights. Sometimes they stick on the surface. Sometimes they are magnetic. They can be very bright. I can recommend those to lighten up the darkness. As for water caused slippery surfaces, yesterday I was watching a dog show and one of the handlers slipped down a damp ramp. I am glad you are still enjoying your time on the canals.

You are such a genuine and open couple, and your love for each other is so obvious. Long may you pootle. Best wishes to you both.

What a great review of your adventures. Really enjoy catching up with you both. We travelled the system in the past, in the days before continuous cruising became popular. Well done for making the move to the water; all the best for the future, PMh

I think even since we started it has become a very popular thing to do. Maybe people are just frustrated with life or maybe KZread has meant more people know about this way of life. We wouldn't have even thought of it without people like Robbie Cummins and Cruising the cut.

Lovely video. This is the first I've seen on your channel proper (I believe I've seen you both in videos on other channels). It may seem funny that I tuned in for a talkie, but it was informative and helped along by you both being quite charming. I only learned about narrowboating recently and have had a nice time watching videos on it - all of them about people like you who've completely changed their lifestyles. I look forward to watching more of your videos. The scenery I've seen via narrowboating through videos has been wonderful. Thank you. All the best!

supermarkets do not make life easy for single people. It is bad enough for us with everything being in big packs. We need more little shops
