Also, wtf is up with Robyn suddenly wanting to be friends. What kind of friends? Facebook friends? Robyn does not want to hang out with Christine, she does not even want to hang out with Meri outside filming. A few episodes ago Kody listed all the hoops Meri had jumped through regarding C-19 rules and asked Robyn if Meri could come over. Robyn immediately started whining, she did not want her to come over

Second, Robyn & her kids haven’t been around each other in forever, even pre-pandemic so what is she talking about? My heart Broke when Janelle said her equity from Vegas was put into Robins house but “the family” can’t come up with a few hundred thousand to get Janelle her freaking garage with an apartment on top on Coyote Pass?? Kody and Robyn know exactly what they are doing.

Can we please admit now, that Robyn has waaaayyyyy more control in the direction of this family than even Kody the tool box? You can see the manipulation on camera, Kody didn't even get fired up until Robyn had to turn on the "tears"

Not that they were doing so great without her, but she was definitely the final nail in the coffin of the Brown family. Kody loves her, and only her, and only wants to be with her. Robyn, on the other hand, was looking for a husband and father for her kids, first and foremost (she's said this very plainly), and therefore has no problem manipulating Kody and everybody else in the family to get those things. She's a true believer and this is more important to her than happiness in a marriage. So it's just ironic that Kody fell head over heels in love with her. But it's awful to watch this happen, knowing Christine really did love Kody and really did want that romance and happiness in the marriage but he's chasing true love with a woman who wants an involved father, providing spouse and polygamy. They're all going to end up hurt. Robyn, wait until Kody decides he has to have more wives to honor the covenant and he actually falls in love with someone else. This crazy, psycho, manipulative and abusive cycle will continue on.

I did some research and per the internet, it was because of an inheritance to Janelle that gave the family the money to purchase the house in Lehi which is why she received the largest unit. Now she has NOTHING...that's such bull!

When Meri said, "I may as well stand up and leave because there's no point me being in this conversation." I thought-DUH! Apply that energy to your whole "marriage" Meri!!!!!! You might as well leave, there's no point to you being here! Kody was looking for Meri to cosign on his disdain for Christine, and all she could manage to do was gush over the fact that she got a teeny bit of attention from Kodi. Other than that, she sat there smugly enjoying the roasting he was giving Christine.

She really did. The way she reacted to Kody saying she looked like the cat who ate the canary…. She was like “Who ME😊?? Whaaaattt?? Kody stop, you’re making me blush!!” I thought it was odd that she completely ignored Christine’s feelings. She just sat there, like a sibling being smug about their other sibling getting in trouble. She shows absolutely no positive feelings whatsoever towards Janelle or Christine or their children. She seems aloof and out of touch. She only started hanging out with Robyn because Robyn was a means to an end.

Thank you for being as angry about Janelle's situation as I am! When she bought the 5th wheel, I first thought she was flakey, now I know that she was fighting for her and her kids survival. After all these years of financing the family, she owns nothing in her own name. She has no assets. She has no retirement funds. She has no help from the family account for a down payment on her house. She and Savannah were going to be homeless and Kody didn't care. It explains her rush to buy the 5th wheel (an asset and emergency shelter for them) that she pays for 100% and is 100% in only her name. It explains her rush to establish residence on her lot on Coyote Pass to claim her land. She is building her own home and assets for her safety and security on her own because neither Kody nor the family care what happens to her. In Kody's eyes, Janelle failed his loyalty to him test in this episode. In my eyes, Janelle passed the loyalty to ALL members of the family test. I hope that Janelle gets everything that she is owed by the family and establishes her own independence. Janelle, you rock girl!

Don’t forget that Kody was very upset that Janelle wouldn’t choose him over the older boys. The was the beginning of the end for Janelle, I think he wasn’t ever going to get over that. Now all of the things that she is saying on the behalf of Kristin is just fuel for the fire, so Kody can have an excuse to not want to be with Janelle.

She is way to smart to be treated like this. Also I agree about the going away party, the previews showed everyone lined up according to whose side they were on. If I was Christine I would have just hidden in the house. She is much classier than I would be in that situation.

Janelle can write a book and 'sell' all of Robyn and Kody's secrets. She'd make some money. We'd all buy it, right? Plus, she and Christine just signed contracts with the same entertainment management company. They are both at the height of their popularity. No more of their funds will go into that family account. And if Kody and Robyn screw over Janelle, I assure you....those grown kids will make their lives hell! Robyn and Kody want to play stupid games....they'll win stupid prizes. ( Not like that's ever stopped them before.) They don't have as much power as they think.... Janelle will be just fine, regardless!

The thing that made me laugh the hardest is when Kody told Christine that taking care of the kids was the easy part. Don't forget that she took care of all 13 kids Kody had with his first 3 wives. If he think that was the easy part, I take it to mean that dealing with ONE Kody was the hard part. Kody just takes and takes, Christine taking care of 13 kids was'nt enough for him, he thinks she should have taken care of Robyn's 5 kids as well. She truly was the basement wife

So much to deal with in this episode. Meri being a brat. Kody saying duty should be enough for Christine. Robyn still wanting to be friends. Janelle's money being taken away. Kody's affection of Robyn's kids

Unbelievable performance by Kody and Robyn. They were feeding off of each others responses. His call for someone else to respond in disappointment sparked her reaction to cry. Her crying fueled his reaction to yell at Christine. It was a huge shit show

Nikki & John I have a feeling if Christine weren't divorcing creepy Kody we would never had known just how high class Christine was and how insane it is that Janelle with 6 kids has nothing to show for all those years of going to work at 6am, leaving Logan to make breakfast for the little ones. I'm still shocked Janelle, the most independent wife has gotten herself in this predicament. 😳

I remember when things escalated when Christine called out Kody going to visit his friend who disliked Kody’s lifestyle and preached at him. Kody obviously spoke about this to Christine. But now he’s such a buddy. Kody did not like that and made Christine look like a fool. I saw how Christine realized Kody threw her under the bus. And I was pissed bc the other sister wives didn’t back her up. But their not allowed to get involved In each others love life. But then Kody wonders why the wives aren’t closer. Who can you trust here!? This way of life does not work with humans as we are. Someone is always going to become slighted. To expect us not to have feelings(as Kody expects the women to work out. By themselves. He doesn’t get involved). No leadership. No empathy. No assurance of his love to each of them. What a freakin’ ASS!

Funny how Kody is convinced that Christine poisoned the kids against him, while at the same time Robyn all but confessed that she poisoned him against Christine!!!!!….also I’m so glad you addressed how Meri behaved during all this…so weird…like I’m scared….but honestly I think she just sees this as her way back into Kody’s heart, which is so sad. I just want to shake her and be like “sweetie he pretended to love you, then left you for another women and then did it again and again”

My jaw dropped when Janelle said she gave money for Robin's house! Omg... that's so terrible and unfair. I feel your anger! Also, the gaslighting by Kody, Robin and Meri is vomitous. I sure hope Janelle is okay and is living a peaceful life. That family culture is so toxic!

The sale of Janelle and Meri's Vegas homes went towards Robyn's house. The family account helped pay for the down payment on Christine's house. Christine was paying the payments on her house herself.

I've heard that Robyn's name is on every lot and all the assets Kody has because she's his legal wife now and Arizona is a community property state. If Kody's name was still on Christine's house, Robyn would have had legal right to at least part of Christine's house. Christine was SUPER smart to get Kody's name off of her house before she announced her departure.

She gets half of anything in his name. But it was just on paper. But two, now three of the five in theory have Robyn’s name on it. If he only allows women to have stuff in their names in case of arrest or fines or whatever did he hide money in the kids names, which kids, investigate the businesses real and on paper. AZ really ought to look into this. This is a big part of why polygamy used to carry prison sentence. The everything is fair, just on paper marriage was a lie. Meri got ruined financially.

The school calls to tell Robyn that her daughter was bothering another girl at school. Robyn rearranges the conversation to Kody, and says she wanted to “help” the girl. Then the child admits what really happened on camera, and adds this weird, adult sounding, story to it. I’m worried for all of Robyn’s children. Something is wrong in that home.

Let's not forget that the only reason that they were able to live in the house in Lehi was because Janelle got an inheritance while she was separated from Kody for 8 months and he came crawling back to her with this idea of buying this house and her having the big side of the house and then Meri and Christine splitting the other side. Janelle bought the house.

On a lot of the Facebook groups people are saying they are mad about Janelles money going towards Robyn's house. I can't believe after that ( money going to Robyn's house) kody has the audacity to say how Robyn makes her home comfortable for him but he isn't going to suffer with Janelle. Also the fact he expects the first 3 wives to be okay with no kind of emotional relationship but him and Robyn don't sacrifice anything.

When Kody asked Christine for accountability, I lost my s**t. Kody needs to watch this show sitting in front of a mirror. He's the last person to ask someone else to be accountable for their actions 🤬.

I feel you! This episode made me so sick to the stomach! Janelle being the one who always worked owning norhing is messed up! And Kody, Robyn and Meri are showing such nasty behavior towards Christine and Janelle. Do they really think we are buying their lies? We watched the show for 12 years. We figured them out

Did you notice how Kody walked across the patio when he started his rant so that he was in full view of the camera? Either he wanted all of us to make sure we saw him in his glory (lol) or it was staged. I think Christine has witnessed Kody’s rants so many times that she just doesn’t care anymore. That’s why she didn’t react. All of us would have ripped him a new one.

I was shocked how the women just sat there and let Kody completely shred Christine. It’s a HUGE insight into the culture. The women will stand by the abuser in fear of the retaliation coming back at them and they inturn also abuse each other by pointing fingers and watching it all happen. As much as I love Janelle, she didn’t have much to say either… you can tell she’s afraid to stand up to Kody too. But at least she tried to say something. The whole scene was disturbing.

John secretly loves this...lol.I made my BF watch Love is Blind and he complained all the way through the first episode until the cliffhanger ending...then he was hooked and trapped. But if you asked him if he loved it, he would totally deny it 😂

Thank you for bringing up how Robin screws up her kids perceptions about the others.

I feel like we didn't know some of these basic facts like Janelle having no money or assets (I am with you 110% on that--It's outrageous), Mykelti being a nanny for Robyn to the extent that she was LIVING with her as a young teen, and Christine working at night especially while pregnant. These facts were not shared before this season, I swear. It's interesting to see Janelle openly acknowledge the invalidation of Christine and the favouritism towards Robyn's kids. I don't think we have seen her say it before so concretely without hedging. I think Kody triangulating his older kids and saying Christine is telling them stuff is gross. It never seems to occur to him that his fractured relationships might be due to his own behaviour. The part at the end with Robyn's kids was weird. Nothing against the kids at all, but I just think even the way they ( K and R) interact with them is strange. The things Ari said were weird for a kid her age to say (no fault of hers obviously). Christine is a master at greyrocking. She should teach a class.

I think it was probably her last act of faith within her marriage and her family. It’s likely the practice worked and was reliable for decades before it became dangerous to do. And I’d bet anything she will NEVER be involved in the “family” account again, married or not.

Meri was so creepy in this episode. It was like Kody was behind the camera in her 1:1s, like she was getting points. Like she was doing or saying anything to attempt to paint Christine in a bad light and Kody in good light. So unsettling. But also too when Kody was sitting there and made that comment about looking to Meri for support - I feel like this is why she still has/holds onto that sense of hope because Kody does things to make her feel like he wants or needs her and I’m sure this happens more often than not. Also on that note, this is just an observation, after I watch some of the older episodes there was one incident where they kept telling Meri that she was basically a burden at the time (can’t remember if it was before or after catfish) but around the time where she was getting the bnb. Anyway, Christine goes “you’re hard to be around” “you’re prickly” to Meri and basically she was already down because she was “bad” in the eyes of Kody especially at that time. It just seems like there’s this pattern of when Kody is not on good terms with one of them, they intentionally gang up on that one person, like they’re getting “Kody points.” It’s weird and this whole Knife in the Kidney episode was just another example. Like she’s already leaving, what’s the point of saying anything but Meri and Sobyn had to make the most of it and earn some points.

Hearing where Janelles's money went bothered me too. However, she is an adult and seems to be pretty bright, so I imagine nothing was done without her consent and full understanding. Right now the person I feel most sorry for is Savannah [living in the trailer]. Janelle said she has adjusted and is fine with it, but it is hard for me to imagine that is the case. At the end of the episode Kody was talking about Ariella and said, "She's a little girl that I'm actually very proud of." I immediately felt sad for all of his other girls as he set his youngest apart like this. It would have been a great opportunity to say, 'I love, and am proud of, all my girls/kids'. Why anyone would sign up for this kind of convulutad, messed up, life [polygamy] is beyond me.

This is how I know I found my recap channel, Nikki is just as enraged as I was realizing Janelle has nothing to show for a lifetime of work and sacrifice for ‘the family’.

I could barely watch the show last night. Kody verbally abused Christine so much it made sick. He’s is so narcissistic. Robyn and her fake crying and Meri ! Ugh these people are disgusting. I really hope Janelle has left this sicko.

I was absolutely livid when Janelle said she owns nothing. She has nothing. Janelle has always been a hard worker, a large contributor to the family earnings. How does she have NOTHING. Sobbin doesn't work. She entered the family with alot of debt. Furious for Janelle.

AND Christine home schooled ALL the kids for most of their Elementary school. She didn’t just do the caregiving she also did the education!!!

Kody’s rant about sacrifice to love Christine may refer to a failed courtship of a potential sister wife during their marriage in which Christine may have objected too and may explain why the courtship with Robyn was kept between him and Meri and the family was not notified until the deal was sealed 🤔

i look forward to your recaps every week, christines story has really resonated with me. i left a 29 year abusive marriage three months ago, i left with my 2 dogs and what i could fit in my daughters car, but omg safety is priceless. I realised when my ex husband began an affair with his brothers wife and was hardly home how amazing life was when i wasn't being controlled and told how useless i was etc

Love you two! So when you watch season 1 it's mentioned that Robyn had a family member help her when she was in her first marriage. When she was courting Kody she traded the family member for Mykelti to further insert her needs into the family. She's always needed help. She's always played helpless. She found the perfect role to stroke Kody's fragile ego and spearhead herself into wife #1.

I personally think Robyn is just plain lazy. You notice they don’t tape in her house and when they have, there’s stuff all over. I even remember her house when Kody was courting her and it had stuff all over. No wonder she needs a nanny.

I am remembering when Meri was wanting to buy the B&B she wanted the family to give her or loan her the money for the down payment. Janelle was the only one that questioned her purchasing using family money, because she when asked if the family would have any assets to it. Meri said “NO” it would be hers. Janelle gave in and they gave Meri the money. Now it seems like over the past years all these differences and Janelle getting the shaft in the end. I have always said Janelle was the unfavored one and she was the one to make the sacrifices

Meri didn’t get any money from the fam for the BB. She bought that on her own. But you are right, she didn’t want the fam to own any part of it. That is why she asked for a loan not money outright.

I think Cody is up to something sneaky about redoing the property lines at Coyote Pass. He keeps saying they can't build until it's paid off that is a complete lie.

Kody is delaying progress on Coyote Pass and discouraging Janelle and Meri from purchasing houses, so he and Robyn can keep the money because he expects them to leave the family or be pushed out. I'm surprised that Janelle didn't protect herself better.

The kids know because Cody told the world for years on national TV and in a best selling book that he doesn't love Christine

Kody talking about the sacrifice he made kissing Christine, not because he loved her, but because it was his duty to make marriage work?! Then later ranting about how he wasted time loving her…stabbed kidney…blah blah. 😂 Yeah, I laughed at his rant. I’ve dealt with narcissists and that screaming jag was desperation. Christine’s face shows she’s done, she doesn’t agree with anything he’s saying and she knows there is no point to reacting and taking the bait. She can look back and be proud of how she handled herself.

Still no filming at Robyns house inside the house. Why? What is the secret?

I was furious at how kody doesn’t lose cool until robin cries. He can’t stand for her to be sad while others are Devastated by his actions daily!

Janelle caught on to getting screwed- thus her desperation to try and get a house built for herself on the land. Christine- so smart and brave to take the equity and run...

1. Kody tried to ignite the fuse (Mary) she just laughed strangely. 2. Robyn absolutely lit the napalm (Kody) 3. Janelle had a look of realization & started plotting her exit strategy (eyes wide open) 5. Mary is on her own & she doesn’t care she already separated her finances (B&B) 6. Robyn is in for a rude awakening. 7. The kindergartner was the “pest” and that’s why the school called. Why else is pest a bad word ? & Robyn scolded Kody😂 7. I said the same thing, it was her idea to get that house, he took the blame for her.

Them showing him with Robyn's kids sent me. There was no reason to show us that. We already know.

I’m with you Nikki. Janelle gave up half of the proceeds from the sale of her Vegas home to Robin and now she has nothing for herself. Kody didn’t care that the house she was renting got sold. She had to buy a trailer just so she could have a roof over her and Savannah’s heads. It’s unbelievable. Kody, Robin and Meri are horrible people.

I have been saying this for the hole season that Robin owns the majority of the familys finances. She wants us to think she is the Victim oh boo hoo poor Robin

My heart broke for jenelle. She's always so hard working and logical, I wonder how she let all the financial stuff happen the way it did. Hopefully she can get some money, because she's worked far too long and hard to walk away with nothing.

I think Kody was legitimately angry and showed a rageful side that I would not have been able to just sit there and be screamed at. Especially saying that you’ve tried so hard to love me? No sir!

I agree it was so so hard watching Kody love on Robyn’s kids meanwhile Truly and the others are Alone.

I agree with you about this episode. I was incensed about Janelle not having any assets in her name. That is the worst thing I took from that episode.

Cody seems to have confused parenting with playmate when the kids are young. As the kids become individuals that challenge his beliefs he blames the wife/mom. Also I think we are seeing the start of the Kody and Robyn show to keep the money coming.

Whoever Christine’s therapist is…boy oh boy, they were worth every penny. The calm resolve she exhibited was a sight to behold. Christine has tapped out and is over the drama. She gave no f*7ks about Robyn’s tears, Meri’s cattiness, and Kody’s tantrum.

So many things!!!! Meri’s face when Christine denies talking to the adult children - I’m guessing Christine HAS but I don’t think it was to poison them but to assure them she still wants them in her life, etc… Here are all the things that Kody said that JUMPED out at me (and had me screaming at my TV). -Meri is leaking emotionally - Bird that ate the mouse🤔 -Marriage is a call to be better than you are. - This ain’t my fault. You did this. She did this! -THIS is the reason…… (her treatment of Robyn is WHY he’s angry!!!!) -I put in SO MUCH effort. I held her hand kissed her when I wasn’t in love with her (He did his duty as a husband) Best line from Christine “It doesn’t matter. It’s over.”❤❤❤❤ I wish she’d gone point for point but agree that there is no point. 100% he’s been practicing in a mirror. I’m sad for Janelle’s financial situation. I’m holding out hope that we’ll have a tell all where Kody and Robyn need to answer for EVERYTHING!

If Cody's kids had a good relationship with him, they would continue to have one no matter what Christine or anyone else said to them !

You are not the only one who gets this angry about the way Christine and Janelle are treated. I can’t even watch the show because I get so angry but I am still invested in Christine and Janelle. Thanks for taking the bullet by watching the show and updating all of us.

I hope all his adult children call him and give him a piece of their mind.

I don’t think you need to worry about Janelle. She has Christine and the kids. Gwendolyn just started Patreon and is already pulling in at least $20,000 a month answering questions. Janelle is loved. The fans will take care of her, I’m sure!

Omg thank you for this sanity after just finishing this episode! Christine is so strong and they were just bullies, except for Janelle. She’s amazing and a true friend to Christine ❤

This episode was triggering for me, and I don’t know how Christine sat there. Kudos to her because because I would of went to blackout rage or dissociated. First off with Kody, I will be happy if he is just removed from the show and I never have to see and hear his antics ever again. What he did was mental and verbal abuse. One of the things he did that almost sent me into orbit was he was just spewing venom and when she went to respond, he was like “No, don’t respond. Just think about what I said and your actions.” That really reminded me of a parent/child relationship where the parent comes at it from a authoritative perspective like I’m here to tell you that you’re wrong and don’t talk back to me. Then the other thing was when he kept saying she was never about the family, just him and how selfish she was for wanting that singular relationship. Yet, he has been spending 90%+ time at Robyn’s because he prefers to be with her. He has legit has not self awareness. For Meri, I used to have a soft spot for her. After this episode, I have no sympathy for her. She’s just as vile as Kody and Robyn. She sat there with this stoic smug look not saying anything, except for her snarky/judgmental confessionals. Then saying she was glad Kody told off Christine about her treatment of Robyn. What?! Then after Kody left she ran after ROBYN to comfort her instead of Christine who was obviously not doing well. I loved Janelle in this episode. She’s turning into one of my favorites. At first I was irritated she didn’t say anything while Kody was going off, but I have a feeling she knew it wasn’t worth it to interject because it would of made the situation worse. I loved her confessionals just like, what’s with this patriarchy crap! I didn’t sign up for this 🤣. Then when she was comforting Christine at the end you could see how much she cared for Christine. With Robyn, as much as she bothers me, I was legit concerned for her mental health. When she asked Christine how she wanted to go forward with the relationships, I couldn’t tell if she was being manipulative or she was legit devastated Christine told her she needs space from her. The one thing that had me scratching my head was in this episode they were really pushing how horrible Christine was treating Robyn. Well, why would you want to be friends with someone who was was, according to Kody, “treating you like ****”???? If someone was treating me terribly and they exited my life I would help them to the door, not be like, “So now the situation has changed, can we be friends please?” I feel Robyn is in her own fantasy world.

I think Robyn has been torn up for YEARS that Christine doesn't adore her and doesn't treat her like the Sun that everything else orbits around. Christine has NOT treated Robyn like dirt. She just hasn't been smoochie best friends with her. Which I think is what Robyn truly wants. Janelle treats Robyn with a LOT more disdain and indifference than Christine ever has, but Kody NEVER mentions it because Robyn doesn't care about Janelle. Most of the kids DO orbit around Christine because she has done sooooooooo much to nurture and care for ALL of them, except Robyn's kids because Robyn wanted a nanny. I think Robyn is also jealous of Christine's relationship with ALL of the kids. Meri has straight up been a mean girl and has been ALL about herself for YEARS! Like wanting Christine to give up some options on her house (for Christine and all 6 of her kids) so Meri could have more fancy options in her house for only herself and an older teenage daughter that was going to be leaving in the next couple of years after the house was built. Meri also deliberately brought Robyn into the family while Christine was pregnant and convinced Kody NOT to tell Janelle and Christine about the courtship for MONTHS, while her and Kody conspired and whispered, and probably got off on the idea of courting Robyn in secret. Robyn doesn't want just Kody, she wants to be best friends with Christine and it kills her that she's not and Christine doesn't want her in her life anymore. I can't blame Christine AT ALL for not wanting anything to do with Robyn. Where was Robyn's support in ANY of the events going on in Christine's life??? Why wasn't Robyn pushing more for Kody to spend time with ALL of his kids? Why wasn't Robyn over there supporting her?? Kody obviously will do ANYTHING Robyn wants him to. Robyn COULD have had more influence over Kody loving and supporting ALL of his wives and children. Robyn could have at least brought meals to Christine when they got back from the surgery, but she couldn't be bothered.

Christine sat there and did not rise to any of his bait because she’s learned how to deal with a narcissist. Acting like they hadn’t previously spoken or agreed on certain things was bait. The calm “don’t respond now” speech was bait. The screaming jag phase is always a sign their previous bait wasn’t taken. Narcissistic people cannot stand it when people don’t react to their manipulation. As the target of a narcissist, it was life changing to finally learn my power was not in participating in useless circular arguments attempting to just saying nothing, or calmly say, “I respect you have your perspective and feelings, but mine are different and we’ll just have to agree we disagree.”

Janelle referred to her marriage in the past tense-'I don't know who those patriarchal guy is, but he's not the guy I WAS married to'. Slip of the tongue, and validation of your theory, Nikki, that they do their talking heads later.
