Robyn is giving us the Sgt Schultz, "I know nothing, nothing" routine but the truth is that Kody has told us he goes to her for advice on the other marriages (and we've seen that) and Robyn has a clear sight into those marriages. She told us in the tell all about the sex lives of the OG 3. How can she be so informed about their sex lives that she is now surprised that the marriages have atrophied. Moreover, the children are telling her that their father doesn't spend enough time with them -- they've texted her as much and most of those children are no contact with Kody and Robyn -- speaks volumes about how those children view how they were treated. Either Robyn is a liar or an idiot. She has been portraying herself as a victim for so long that now she has to shift gears and pretend that over the past 12 years, she was clueless. Come on, Robyn, we're not buying the Sgt Schutz routine.

If Robyn can pretend they all fed her a lie than she can stay the victim, instead of part of the cause of all the issues!

Kody fed her a lie. He told her how he was with his wives. Wives didn’t see it that way. That’s why Robyn said they gave him to her. She doesn’t see the wives reason they were upset with Kody. Robyn only knew what Kody tells her. Trash talking the wives. But Meri was clear with Robyn about Kody and her. She knew by now.

Why would all 3 wives give her Kody? Based on what? Christine was pregnant with her 6th child with Kody when Robyn met Kody. So he was involved with Christine or there would not have been a pregnancy. She has a very high regard of herself to charm Kody away from polygamy when she knew he had 13 kids & 3 wives of decades. So they all decided to give up on Kody & their polygamy faith for Robyn? Be real Robyn wanted Kody all to herself & she took steps to make that happen. Meri should never have said yes to divorce from Kody if Meri really wanted Kody's affection. That was the end of polygamy & the end of Meri & Kody. Thanks to Robyn taking on the legal marriage. @@laneneal3510

That made me so angry. How oh how can she say things like this without ANYONE calling her out. It made Meri look soooo weak. This woman “stole”her husband, but I mean she invited her into her husbands bed ONLY to hurt Christine and Janelle and to punish them for getting along until that point Meri was the head wife wanting EVERYONE to know it. I think she thought she would always be in that place. Especially since she thought Cody would be in debt to her for finding Robin. Boy did she get that wrong. The only relief was finally someone called her out, Janelle’s son. 👏👏👏. We have waited struggled watching this show without anyone calling out the obvious. Cody only wanted to be with Robin!!!

Christine was delightful, though. When she was happily giggling that she was longer married to Kody was a highlight.

When Christine said in her on the couch interview that she had 'forgotten' how uptight about COVID Kody was, I died laughing because until the moment she pulled out of the driveway of her house and drove off to Utah, Kody still believed his COVID rules were behind Christine leaving. It bothers me that Robyn will not let anyone in her house, I want to know why lol.

Robyn begging Mari to tell the camera that all the problems exsisted way before she came into the family was wild. She's "trying" to figure out were it all went wrong and just refuses to acknowledge the last 13 years. 🤷

Robyn is so set on cooking that turkey even though Meri did it for 30 years. She couldn't give Meri that one thing Meri enjoyed. But leads her on to sit around waiting for Kody when Robyn knows he's not coming.

Robyn wouldn't be legally married to Kody if it wasn't for Meri. While Robyn's whining about how much she's suffering, Meri is just sitting there pathetically clutching Kody's jacket. Robyn is either cruel or completely self-absorbed. Kody complains about lack of communication in the family yet he refuses to either pick up a phone or go see anyone to clarify situations. That's one lazy way to parent or be a husband.

My take on this episode: Robin is trying to re-write history in case she needs to strike out on her own and wants public sympathy. She knows good and dang well what “happened” to the family (SHE happened to them!) But she’s still playing games with Meri and Meri is so lost and vulnerable she’s just glad and grateful SOMEONE is willing to play with her. Kody wants to continue to wallow in self pity and is angry that Janelle won’t help him do that. He therefore takes his angst out in everyone else Christine is grateful… nay, gleeful that Kody is no longer her problem. Her giddy joy was hard for her to restrain and broke loose several times. Janelle stands on the precipice of understanding that Kody doesn’t give a damn about her and doesn’t care if she’s homeless.

Man....this episode really just seems like a continuation of season 17 but my fave part was when Christine said 'so its my fault if i have a bad relationship with my sisterwives....but its not kodys fault when he has a bad relationship with his children.' Im so glad she is seeing the past 27 years wasn't just her fault. Also im looking forward to Janelle telling him where he can stick it!

Kody is their dad. Kody can call his sons & arrange a get together for lunch & have a dialogue. But kody cannot demand their respect. He could reconcile their Dad/sons relationship & start over. What is the point of kody NEEDING to have respect & obedience from other adults when he has no empathy for his wives or kids. You earn respect. His sons are adults not children. Kody could easily fix this & let go of his fragile ego. What would happen if Robyn were to leave kody? He has a lot of rage.

One thing I noticed after rewatching the series is that Kody slowly has become a homebody (even before C19). He was also full of adventure seeking and was an outdoor, camping kind of guy. So I completely understand why Janelle's experience with the RV was such a disappointment. He wasn't invested in it like he was in other past adventures. Robyn doesn't enjoy the outdoors or travel or adventures, perhaps and he mirrors her.

Robyn objected to Shabbat and the other Jewish practices that the Brown's had introduced to their religious practices. Gwen has talked about it and wants to reintroduce these traditions in her family with Beatrix. Robyn dismantled what did not fit with her comfort zone.

The coat hug...so uncomfortable. It almost felt like she was trying to make light of the situation that she is in. Also, Robyn was vile. VILE! Then, Meri placating and/or fawning Robyn during the conversation made me think, "Oooo what was Meri's breaking point. What pushed her past this point and made her unwilling to tolerate the narc abuse?" I am not even a Meri fan, but I am all about watching Meri tell Robyn and Kody to piss off. 😂

I appreciated Jeanelle taking ownership of the failiure of the camper purchase. The gruesome twosome NEVER take acvountability for anything

This episode totally felt like a middle of the season show. Sort of flat. Kody only wants to have the girls tested so he can exert control. I feel so sorry for those girls having to stay at Kody and Robyn's.

They don’t have the money. They hid it? They don’t want to spend the money on Janelle. Robyn is about to lose a house and he buys a million dollar house. Janelle is about to lose her rental and he doesn’t pay 180K for the land so she can get a construction loan to build a 1200ft2 house. He needed to come up with 200k for Christine’s house. He has no real estate, health care, relationship or legal sense.

I definitely have been looking forward to y’all’s reaction 🤣 and John’s “pencil box” references is hilarious because Kody started it to humiliate his very own sons 🙃

It was nice to see Meri showing humor in this episode.

Meri and her child cried pretty much every episode so clearly they were deeply unhappy, christine expressed her unhappiness every episode, janelle was very independant but expressed her concerns about the family structure and finally got sick of it when she saw both her and her kids were being financially exploited and the kids were mistreated by kody. Robyn is a bad actress, she knew what was up.

I'm a licensed therapist...I have to walk a fine line when it comes to diagnosing people on reality TV. I tend to think that you have to have SOMETHING to act like Kody does on national television and deny it. Cannot image having to deal with him full-time. Robyn sooner than later he will need to turn on another of his non- Robyn kids or Robyn herself. What will they have to consult on with the wives deserting him & some of his kids not wanting contact w kody & Robyn?

I think Kody hates that he did genuinely love Christine. I think the "betrayal" is more to do with the fact that Christine was part of a PR group to help advocate for polygamy being legal and have less of a negative stigma attached to it. The advocacy group gave them the step into the door to the original documentary that eventually lead to them having this series. I think his resentment has more to do with her leaving the faith and the principle of plural marriage when she was probably the most gung ho for advocating publicly for polygamy.

I agree. I also think most of their church, or the other plural families they know are on Christine's side. They're all more loyal to Christine and her family than they are Kody. When she said even her father told her to leave, I knew most of the fundamentalist must have turned on Kody. When Christine left, Janelle and almost all of the kids went with her. And even though she says she no longer believes in the faith....I think most of their community went with her too. Poor Kody ....😂

They need the infrastructure at Coyote Pass. THAT is the problem, cost-wise, not the actual house.

I have seen the intro twice at the start of this new season. It confirmed what was my original thought about Meri and her bringing Robyn into the family. Oddly, it was Kody who pointed it out. Meri gave Robyn a gift and Kody blurted out.. "Obviously I'm not the only one FALLING IN LOVE with Robyn." Who else has noticed this? I feel Meri and Kody would have been swingers if they were not religious fundamentalist Mormons. We will never get the truth out of Meri. No shame in anyone's sexuality I'm just very tired of the Browns 💩

It's cold out and Meri and Robyn still have to sit outside for their segment ... Robyn can't clear out a space big enough for a couple of chairs that they could film from ... Robyn has taken every opportunity to stick the knife into the wives (Meri "Oh Kody is coming around, stay with me. Janelle - she digs her about her weight.)... I also noticed that Kody expected them to Covid test but never said that they would test to not infect Ysabelle and Truley

Robyn should have had holidays sorted back in July and August. People need plane tickets. But they are not her kids so it doesn’t matter. A group text dinner at my house at 5? Is that so hard? Even among the adults. Don’t they have a turn taking thing for the holidays?

I know it was just a "where are things now" intro episode but I was actually pretty bored with it, maybe because it contained alot of the scenes we were already given - Christine making fun of Kody for the Covid stuff was rather funny though, and completely accurate, Im glad someone had the balls to say it to his face

I think Kody asking them to test is because (even though he’s caught it before) he thinks he is some magical barrier. He can meet with whoever, only he can hug Christine’s kids, etc. but truley has to test before coming over to his precious home. It’s truley he’s calling dirty if that’s what he’s saying. But I think it’s just him doing the same as before. Like at the farewell party when Robin and her kids pouted off up the side and were not allowed to mix.

Made me think Kody had Robyn buying Christmas gifts for the wives or keeping count of what they get from him. Heck, I can't remember what I bought for my family last year.

I’m so happy I found your channel in time for this new season! 🥳 What bothered me most about this episode was Meri & Robyn’s conversation. Like why is Robyn so special that filming can’t be done inside her home? If production or Robyn or whoever really wanted this convo to happen, I’d make it a point for Robyn to come to me (if I were Meri) instead of sitting outside freezing cold wearing the jacket of a man who severely mistreated me.

When Robyn whined and said that she THOUGHT this was a SAFE family to bring her children up in while talking with Meri I wanted to jump through the t.v and give her a piece of my mind...

It was just so weird that robyn didnt want the cameras in her house. It was cold out wth cant say its still because of covid, she gave her a hug. What is she hiding !!!!

I have to comment... Robin's perspective is so familiar to me. She's heartbroken that her sister wives are choosing for themselves. She doesn't see it that way, but that's all it is; it's a choice. They all signed up to be part of a family that takes away choice, and then slowly discovered that was not maintainable. They wanted to believe the illusion they created, I don't think. they were lying at the beginning. Moving to Vegas the illusion started to crumble, crack and then covid shattered it. Thank you ! I love your recaps.

No in Meri's mind she didn't lose a family, she lost a friend. She's more hurt that Christine didn't consider her a friend. Meri is still figuring out her place in the family currently.

I’m hoping Kody smooths everything over with the kids for a big Christmas at their house and Robyn is the one that says no because she doesn’t want her hoarder house filmed! 😂

I thought the premiere was a waste of time. I learned two new things, what Garrison said and that Coyote Pass was owner financed.

Kody: blah blah blah blah "picking people over me." Kody, get ready to be seriously disappointed because 99% of the viewers would pick Mari (maybe), Christine (probably) and Janelle (Hell to the yes) over you, dude.

Robyn trying to make the originals issues from before she joined the family the problem is infuriating!! As if the last 13 years of her being favored and having most of Kody's time was cool. I hope Meri leaves in the earlier part of the season, watching her be pathetic is tiresome. Loved seeing Christine glowing and confident, while Kody was jittery and awkward. LOL

Robyn is fooling no one. She did not know is ridiculous. She & Kody talked about the wives behind their backs for years.

When you notice that Christine is welcoming to having the public in her new home and Robyn makes everyone sit outside in the cold you know everything need to know about these 2 women.

Gwen said COVID did not allow the crew indoors. Because they were NOT vaccinated maybe? Or Kody being creative? I didn’t even notice the woman came over and not invited in. Here smell Kody’s jacket. It’s all you are getting if him, by the way I’m taking the jacket back. My goodness.

“For other cavities you stuff” 🙈😂😂 And then Nikki’s immediate look of HORROR as she realised what she said!!! So, so, so relatable and totally the content we are here for! ❤

it did feel like a fluff episode. We already got this from the promo. But to be honest rather watch you two than watch the episode.

Completely agree! The Nikki and John recaps are the only thing that interests me about this insufferable group of people. Well, the whole group isn't insufferable, just mostly Kody and Robin. Occasionally a different family member tags in for a minute or two to take the pressure off the King and Queen of the isle of self absorption.

Hey! lol, I love John’s comments about Kody’s pencil wetting, lol. I’m always thinking it myself. Kody projected this onto his son, when HE is the hypocrite and is the one worried about getting his own pencil wetting 😅gooo John! 😂😂

I agree, I feel like this could have been in season 17. The trailers seemed exciting though. Also Robyn once again letting people freeze outside, get an outdoor heater lamp Robyn

Meri's rice krispy treats are Kody's favorite. I think that is why she made the turkey out of rice krispy treat mix. That was mentioned in their anniversary episode when Kody informed Meri he was completely uninterested and always would be.

Kody is decending into madness. Christine laughing at hypochondriac Kody and not being married to him anymore was the best part of the night. Robyn doesn't make anyone feel welcome at her home.

I feel like the torch conversation was something Robin has heard Kody rant about at home. She knows he watches the show and wants him to see she is listening to him.

It was interesting that Kody said that the first 20 years he & Christine were married “was dysfunctional” which basically means once Robyn came in the sun started to shine on the family 😂. Oh wait, that didn’t happen

20 years were really bad. Kody was really busy fathering kids. 13 kids how bad could it be & why have all the kids? Not like he raised them while the wives had jobs & kids & kody did what for money?

If I would have been drinking water when Nikki said “other cavities that you stuff” it would’ve been a true spit take 😂😂😂😂😂 I was not expecting that, I laughed so hard!

I agree, I had no idea what Robyn was talking about either. And I don't believe Meri knew either, lol.

I had to fast forward during the Robyn parts. She is just so insufferable! I kept saying to myself that I can just watch Jon and Nikki’s recap tomorrow! Haha.

Same… I tried to watch in full but after a few minutes I had to… especially when she was doing the side interviews… she still views herself as a believable wide eyed ingénue and she just isn’t. Grown @ss woman with a bunch of kids and two marriages under her belt in a polygamous relationship but she knows nothing and can’t understand anything 🤷🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

Super weak premiere, agreed. So far back in time, so much repetition. Christine was totally the bomb! Only cheerful one in the bunch. 😂😂😂

That's why cody missed her ,the only one who stays positive...

The kids need to call Kody. The wives need to be “good sister wives” to Robyn. I’d like them to address their responsibilities in these relationships. This was a big yawn with almost nothing new. The best part was the last part of the episode where Christine was giddy that she wasn’t married to Kody (aka he’s not her problem any longer) any more! ❤🎉

I have noticed also that Christine would be the comic relief when things got too serious, I also would notice Christine’s oldest daughter be the one to stand between her dad and her siblings and explain why they would say or do something that would get Kody upset.

"She doesn’t count because she's not Robyn's." 😂😂😂 true...ly !!!🤣

Love that Christine is so much freer and happier leaving the deadbeat and his preferred family. Her family is better off!

Kody knows that for his financial benefit Using finance for buying a house is better (for him). He doesn't use the cash to build the casita.

He was very engaged with the teen boys earlier. That is why Gabe and Garrison were the ones coming to him and so taken aback by his ignoring of them.

So this episode was repetition of last season basically, I would add that Kody said he wants to spend time hating Christine, cuz he can’t control her any longer. The control is gone. I assume Robyn and Meri are sitting outside in the freezing cold cuz Robyn’s house is full of old China cabinets and creepy Annabelle dolls😂 Robyn still acting like she doesn’t know what happened…..again is old! Real old. Robyn and Kody are complaining about their new life/reality…that they created!! There in a prison of their own design. Tired of hearing about Kodys fetal position near death experience….And why is their daughter still using a pacifier??? 😖

She hasn’t learned coping mechanisms from either parents is why Ariella needs a pacifier. It’s also IMO why Aurora is so messed up.

Key note kody said, 1 year in robyn’s rental was sold out underneath her, so we bought a house. Two years later Janelle should have bought a house. They have only just been there for 4 years. Why does he not just say we are never building there? Also robyn dead named Leon!!!

Just saw the first episode of season 18. I had to pause my tv because at the beginning when they are moving stuff out of a truck in Flagstaff, you can see Robyn's youngest on a lead being pulled around by the nanny. THIS IS WHAT THE NANNY DOES! OMG.

Why does Christine and Truely and Ysabel need to test for the girls to go to Kody’s house when by 2021 Xmas all have had shots and his kids are all back to school. Students don’t test all the time.
