Thanks for the vid. Shimano has really gone down hill on this stratics Series. Many different fasteners and plastic parts just a cheap feel all around. Nothing like the older stratic line that were great

You're welcome and thanks for watching! I think it's all relative, though I agree.... the whites were an excellent reel. I'm a bit partial to the red/blacks, but not of the line roller.... goes bad too easily. Otherwise, most all these reels, even the newer ones, are good if one takes care of them. Thank you! I have the same exact reel. My clicker stopped working as well and it turns out that somehow the spring clip pop out and I cannot find it. Does the drag clicker come with all 3 parts or can I order just the replacement spring clip?

Dude, you're surgical. My Dad, a surgeon would be proud. What is the term of the "washer" at 21:35? It appears word tho you didn't replace it - why? And then what exactly do you add at the same time stamp? Finally, I have a new Stradic C3000 XG and I've yet to use it. I had it fitted with braided line at Bass Pro but now even with the drag turned all the way, the spool still moves back and forth with hand pressure. Something's clearly wrong. Thoughts? I'm close to returning the reel to the warehouse I purchased it from... Thanks!

Thanks for watching and the glowing reference. Thanks also for taking the time to ask questions, brother! It's a felt washer, but you can change them out to carbon fiber ones if you prefer. Just use your reel's model number (sometimes found on the reel foot) to find ones that can work for your reel on eBay. It was worn, but not unusable. No sense in changing something that still has life to needlessly increase the cost to my customer..... unless that's what they want. Your Bass Pro reel is likely fine (I'm assuming you're referring to rotational hand pressure and not the line slipping)..... depends on the amount rotation you're getting. i have a stradic 5000 and the drag is jerky/sticky, my friend has the same reel and same problem. Do you know how to fix that? just replaced all the drag washers?

Hi, I'm assuming this wasn't always the case. If it's the older Stradics with the the felt washers, they may be dry and need to be OILED, but even when lubricated, there may still some slight moments of inertia. Same thing with the newer carbon fiber drags washers, but GREASING these will work wonders for their smoothness. There are certain other factors that may be at play, so find a local professional to help, just in case there are some other things going on.... better safe than sorry. @@TSGReelService it is a new stradic that has the carbon washers. The drag was smooth until i tightened all the way down after i accidentally hooked a stingray that was about to spool me. I did open it up and it had barely any grease on there so ill put some more grease and see if that works. thanks for the help, much appreciated

It's the clicker plate spring. For this c3000 reel, it was part number RD11302. Make sure the raised point sticks up through the opening in the plate.

No problem.

Personally I would have removed all that grease inside the case. Replace with minimal amounts. Experience tells me it is a dirt attractant. Slows things down also. Just my opinion.
