Life is not black and white. Big loved Carry in his own way. Only it's easier to love someone who is being easy to love like Natasha. This is exactly what Big said to Carry at his engagement party: "it's just gotten so hard... and she's..." it answers everything. Btw, we all remember that Big wanted to live Natasha after 7 months already. He didn't love her, she was just right and cliché, that's it, and makes the commitment EASY.

She is weak always needing a man to be by her side. She does not listen to what big wants or tells about himself he does not what to marry again, she stalked his ex wive which is weird and she told her that he is a womenizer and she is surprised when he leaves her for another. I dont like her because i think she is not trustworthy, is a cheater, hypocrite, narrow minded, judgmental, bad friend, weak and tries to change another personnot love them for who they are but make them into her perfect vision. Samantha and Miranda they are amazing good friends, honest, independent, strong, trustworthy.

I never made that connection that her whole wedding to Big got derailed because of the same. Good observation. I feel that he had his flustered moments and he tried to correct it and she overreacted. How many of us have lost our phone or we've lost our charger and somebody comes to the conclusion that is completely wrong. That we were avoiding their calls. He got stuck in traffic, which is totally understandable They could have just had a wedding that started an hour late. It won't be the first of the last time that happens. Poor Carrie definitely escalated the situation by her reaction. I do not sanctify Big but the whole thing about their wedding going off track was one massive misunderstanding. Totally avoidable. And you're right. She should have taken the lesson from what happened in the Natasha wedding.

You know Carrie really screws Natasha over in more than one way. First, Carrie helps contribute to the ending of Natasha's marriage (which would have happened eventually) and unintentionally causes Natasha to break her tooth. But, to make matters worse, Carrie then writes about Natasha and having an affair with Natasha's husband in her column which eventually becomes an internationally best-selling book...this poor girl can't catch a break.

ann l I’d love to see how you’d react to being left at the altar. I agree that she’s somewhat melodramatic but clearly they just needed time to figure things out. Things like this happen. People move on in life, meet other people, get married, have affairs, get divorced. It just happens. I think he probably married Natasha because he probably liked her very much in the moment but wasn’t thinking about the big picture. Or also he wasn’t really sure of what he wanted vs what he felt he should want. The idea of Natasha might have been exciting, but it didn’t last. We never see his reasons, but we know something kept him away from Carrie for all those years. I’d argue it’s her inability to compromise because she is so self centred. Perhaps that’s why he chose someone else, As a response to what he wasn’t getting from her. People do that in real life. They get fed up with each other.

The thing about Carrie is she is relatable. Women have done cringy shit in their life. However.... She's in her 30s.... Her mistakes (cheating on Aidan, chasing after a married man, having the audacity to ask Natasha for forgiveness during a lunch date, codependency issues, etc) could have easily been done by a girl in her 20s. I think that's what made the character look "desparate" and annoying.

What Carrie failed to understand is that just because you are ready to be 'forgiven', doesn't mean that the person you wronged is ready to forgive you. Frankly, I don't think Carrie's apology to Natasha was really sincere or profoundly felt, Carrie just didn't like feeling badly about herself but she wasn't really thinking about Natasha or her feelings.

The thing I understand about Carrie as I get older is that she didn't love herself enough when it came to Big. She broke up with him because he didn't care about her and their relationship. She put her foot down saying "I can't be with someone who doesn't love me better." So why does she then want to be "friends" when she sees him with Natasha? Why does she ask him to lunch? Where's the self-love? Ladies, we need to love ourselves more.
