And Just Like That | Carrie Stalks Natasha | HBO Max | S01E03 | [HD]

Ойын-сауық

In this clip: Kristin Davis, Richard Burton, Sarah Jessica Parker and Bridget Moynahan (1:01).
About this clip: After realizing that Natasha's bequeathed $1 million by Big's will, Carrie unexpectedly runs into Mrs. Natasha Naginsky Mills inside the all-gender restroom in a coffee-shop followed by a mild-altercation. The two wives of Mr. Big then extend sympathies/condolences to each other and offer coolness to their respective burns. The child-less Carrie learns that Natasha has two sons and is advised to un-follow each other on Instagram to keep it distanced.
Carrie appears to have arrived at an understanding with Natasha - who is not interested in the money offered by Mr. Finance - after being stormed by the million dollar question, she tries to un-puzzle with her friends, earlier in the episode. Overall, this scene which takes a pacifying turn is still an iconic reminder of Natasha lecturing Carrie in S03E17 that she is a home-wrecker and husband-snatcher despite the newspaper-Dior-dress by John Galliano she's just strutted in:
"Yes. I'm sorry about it all. I'm sorry he moved to Paris and fell in love with me. I'm sorry that we ever got married. I'm sorry he cheated on me with you, and I'm sorry that I pretended to ignore it for as long as I did. I'm sorry I found you in my apartment, fell down the stairs and broke my tooth. I'm very sorry that after much painful dental surgery this tooth is still a different color than this tooth. Finally, I'm sorry that you felt the need to come down here. Not only have you ruined my marriage, you've ruined my lunch. I guess that's just what I had to say."

Every single day, so many weddings happen without the couple being all that into each other lol Welcome to reality. Natasha = a full on victim, sure. Big = an ass. But Carrie - she was stolen what was hers. People like Big can't love easily. I think emotionally/psychologically slightly stunted. But he definitely felt a crazy connection from episode 1. That is stronger than whatever vanilla thing he had with Natasha. Doesn't mean he didn't love Carrie during the early period. It was just his psychological markup. Big loved Carrie in his own maximum possible ability. He just didn't understand it readily.

Carrie is a stalker who tramples people's boundaries so she can get what she wants and fuck everyone else. She should have left well alone when Natasha never replied to her email and blocked her on Instagram thats a pretty clear message that Natasha doesn't want to see her or talk to her yet she still went to her work and tried to ambush her again like she did 20 years ago. I'm not surprised Natasha refused to have contact she must have been so pissed off and creeped out that Carrie stalked her again. What I love about this scene is that when Carrie first ambushed her at the restaurant to give her bullshit apology Natasha was clearly still feeling raw and vulnerable yet she stayed dignified. This time round the situation is reversed Carrie is now vulnerable and Natasha seems much more confident and assertive and really makes herself clear about how she feels and walks away with her dignity in tact espcially after Carrie saw her just finishing peeing lol not many women would be able to pull that off after that I'd be absolutely humiliated if someone walked in on me peeing

I had a Carrie situation in my relationship with a man I would have died for. He dumped me, went off with the statuesque blond model-type, but he still used to come around often where she would 'find' him (he got NOTHING from ME in this situation), but it drove her crazy. We all worked together (now THAT wasn't fun!), and she came to hang around after work to make sure he didn't leave with me. When I went off to find my own happiness (with my then future husband of 40 years!), she was living with my ex, and she tried to get me to have one last conversation with me before I departed for another country -- yes, COUNTRY. She wanted to clear the air and get me to tell her all that he was doing or not doing with me. I refused to meet or speak with her. I told her go-between contact I had nothing to say except that she needn't worry about ME anymore, go worry about the OTHERS he was cheating on her with.

Natasha looks so fresh and modern compared to the main women. I think the extreme fashion trends really ages Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda. The plays on volume, patterns, layering and experimental trends is tricky and worked when they were younger, but in this series, I feel like it made them look around 15-20 yrs older than they actually were - like a trio of crazy, rich old aunties - rather than cool and effortless, like Natasha manages so well.

That's an interesting take on it, I hadn't considered that! I just don't know that the logic works so well because it feels weird to me that Natasha was acting as though Carrie was still after her for closure, and not about a significant event that involved Natasha (the will) had recently happened and of which Natasha was aware. Then again those things can be discussed through lawyers (which is what Natasha had done), so it does track that it'd be just Carrie's excuse to hound Natasha again for closure, and Natasha saw through it and generously gave it to her. You raised a really good point.

This gesture of Big, to leave Natasha 1mil dollars, even if they didnt speak to each other after divorse ever again, says how much guilt he felt for what he did to her. He was thinking about it years after. He wanted to make sure that she is taken care of even if he wasnt there anymore in case that she ever need it. This somehow, shows the regret for disrespecting her. This was the only way to repair being unfair to her. So, it means he is good man after all. Its a mistery only through Carries eyes...

I can see why Big would want to do that for Natasha (Ex-Wife #2), even though Ex-Wife #1 wasn't remembered in his will. He knew going into that marriage that he still had feelings for Carrie. He knew Natasha's catching Carrie led to a painful-looking fall which broke her tooth: "After much painful dental surgery, this tooth is still a different shade than this one." Even with family wealth, a good job of her own, and no matter what happened in her future, Big knew Natasha would still have a visual reminder of a bad chapter in her life.

This scene is so powerful because even though Big left Natasha for Carrie, Carrie was still obsessed and stalked Natasha. I'm not sure why everyone has to play these women off, both in real life and as actors, on their looks. This scene is so powerful if you're able to look past the aesthetics, I think Carrie DID realise how much of a villain she was and wanted to make peace with it, Natasha is able to see that and offers kindness, without it turning into a cliche of them becoming friends, purely because Big has died. I think the end bit, where Carrie exhales, is such a beautiful moment, because I feel like anyone can relate to that moment where you finally feel you can stop holding your breath, and not just necessarily in scenarios like this, it can be anything in your life. I love that the closure completely overwhelms her but also makes her smile, because that's how it is in real life. Credit to Bridget for some outstanding acting, she nailed this scene with absolute perfection, but SJP is equally good in displaying the nuanced subtlety of pain, love, loss and in the end, forgiveness.

I see this as the opposite of the scene where Carrie was walking away from Natasha wearing the Christian Dior newspaper dress in season 2. It was a painful and shameful way of ending things between her and Natasha. This scene now felt more like the REAL closure. I feel Carrie’s sigh of relief with a smile in the end. That coffee burn is karma’s final nudge saying: You are forgiven Carrie but don’t ever forget the lessons from this huge mistake.

Girl she wasnt Sorry at all, not a teaspoon of remorse in the Ego Tart that she was serving Natasha. After Natasha showed her Class, Finesse, Kindness, and Manners, she unleashed more of her vile attitude when she added that moment when she had to tell Natasha why Big gave her the 1 million dollars. Big is giving it as an Apology, according to the Egotistical Carrie. Natashia could have replied “You really have no idea who Johny was. But it doesnt matter Carrie. You are lucky he even married you. But you never had his heart. Because you know too well a man who wears Armani could never love a shirt from the sale rack of JC Penny”.

@@eduardochavacano Wow...OK, first of all, it's been well-established that both Carrie & Big have proven themselves to be terrible people with even worse communication skills...but Carrie was right about Big. If the man was a financier and all he knew was money, then that would be his love language, wouldn't it? Thus, he definitely would give Natasha the money as an apology, shallow as that is. And as for Carrie, just because she's not a good person, it doesn't mean she can't feel remorse. Yes, she was paranoid about Big, but in that moment when Natasha was raging at her, there wasn't an ounce of entitled anger from Carrie. She immediately understood how much pain she was causing in this woman's life.

Natasha is still wearing white to show that her character to this day is still “uncomplicated and easy” as Michael Patrick King had said on his commentary. The only time she wore a color is a Pink dress where she cuss Carrie out in such class. The Pink probably meant she’s angry but she know what’s up anyways so she’s just ready to move on - a sign of her being softhearted.
