Does Aidian realize that they are no longer in their 20's or 30's? They will be in their mid 60's by the time his son is out of his teens. And even then, he still may not be ready.

Now that Big is dead, she is clinging on to her next best option. Nuh uh. Earn him bish.

Lol..All that happened years ago, not recently to Aidan and if you watch this again, he's not leaving her to make sure she's stable to be with, no one waits five full years to make sure the person they want to be with, is stable when he won't even be around her to know how she'll be. He had to leave because of his 14 year old son, he was in a bad car accident and was high..Aidan said he wants to be with his sons, especially his 14 year old son. He told her he won't lose her again. He wants to be with her but he's putting his son first until he's out of his teen years, his son will be 15 years old and that's why Aidan said five years to be there for him. Nothing to do with Carrie.

Not one bit of this makes sense. Aiden is silly. There is nothing wrong with prioritzing your Children. Stupid answer to a problem; no one can project that their child will have problems for 5 years! Life doesn't work like that. The kid is manipulating...and now he has the power. It seems counseling or rehab would make more sense, but you don't sit and wait for the kid to explode at the other parents home! That is stupid....

I was so happy to see Carrie and Aidan reunited. But once again they have Carrie waiting for a man. She waited for Big and now she's waiting for Aidan. This was not fair of him to ask her. I understand he wants to be there for his troubled son. but he wasn't even open to trying to maintain a relationship with her long distance. It's BS.

Its great that they got back together. Its like you can feel they were so in love more than before, but back then, she wasn't ready. He was and he had no choice but to go away. They were in a difficult place this time, finally on the same page (they both agreed that they were on the same page, both single and free to see each other).. Then they bought a place to live together. Everything was looking so great between them...Then the writers for this show, made Aidan leave again! How ridiculous to have them be together again for good and someone, probably the guy running this show, decided to make Aidan leave again. I can't see it on whatever movie channel this is on, I just see short episode clips on youtube! Lol.. Other people have made comments in how this show, "And Just Like That", has bad writers. I truly believe that! But John Corbett is still so good looking! I've been a fan of his since he was on Northern Exposure! ❤😊

I totally get a parent putting their child first but it was completely wrong for him to ask her to wait 5 years for him. Especially teenagers when they reach the ages 16-19. They are going to want to be with their friends. I did not like this plot ending.

this whole exchange was confusing. I mean, 5 years? he can't expect her to stay faithful to him for 5 years, nor can she expect him to do the same for her. pointless.

Nope Carrie should call it off. I agree a man should be a father. So call it off and let the man go and be a father. At her stage in life she cannot play the waiting game. I know people who would still marry their partner regardless and make the situation work. Whether it’s driving taking turns or slowly introducing the kids to their partner over time. Aidan having a failed engagement and property issues with Carrie in the past would make him hesitant for marriage. And teenagers aren’t easy to deal with however they are people with means and resources. I suspect that Aidan’s kids will hate Carrie and make her life hell.

Aiden needs to move on from Carrie. They might have great chemistry but she is a toxic poison to him. He can't resist her and she brings out the worst part of him (Very rarely but the pain she has caused him clearly shows up). He is not his best self around her. This is a god awful way to write him out of the show.

But asking Carrie to just wait around, with apparently little to no contact, for five years, is ridiculous. She'll be over 60 when and IF Aidan decides he still wants her. And it's not exactly teaching Wyatt realistic life-coping skills for Aidan to have absolutely no other life while he's taking care of him. If anything, that's just teaching Wyatt that he can use bad behavior to force his father to be his crutch. "Ha ha," he can tell himself, "got rid of that girlfriend!" Wyatt is NOT going to be well-prepared to fend for himself at what Aidan seems to think is the magically mature age of 20. He's more likely to be highly dependent and try some truly self-destructive stunt to keep his dad tied to him.

Because this show sucks. It was written by people who never bothered to watch the original. This show never should have happened. . it is SO BAD.

I think they are going to have Carrie and Miranda hook up next season but then Aiden will decide his kids are fine and come back so Carrie will have to choose.

This is utter bullshit. Wyatt has serious problems and what Aidan thinks that at the magical age of 20 they'll go away? He's also setting an example to the kid here that he'll give up everything and come running when he acts out. Wyatt didn't want Carrie and he just got rid of her. I hate kids. Thank God I never had any.

Asking someone to wait for five years when the characters are nearly 60 is nuts. Why in the world would the writers make Aiden this much of a flake? Either include Carrie in your plans or tell her to move on.

Personally, AJLT is such s ridiculous show. I wonder if the actors themselves enjoy doing this show. Carrie leaves Aidan for Big and then begs for forgiveness, then ends up marrying Big (who leaves her at the altar), forgives him for the millionth time, only to eventually end up with Aiden after Big's death. Oh wait, now Aiden tells her to wait for him. This whole show is generally unwatchable.

Carrie is not necessarily attractive, but she has enough money to get a cub instead of this aging single father that she already cheated on multiple times!! New guys in town. Don't need to recycle.

I’m sorry but this whole storyline was stupid. Aidan comes back to her after two awful breakups where she broke his heart both times. He would be running the other way!! Then he asks her to wait for him for five years! Ok. Sure.

People forget that Aiden knew Carrie was still in love with her ex.

With kids, it’s ALWAYS going to be something, the issues don’t go away just because they turn 18. This storyline is weird

Someone please get SJP a new hair stylist or suggest she go back to the short bob. The aging with very long hair is not a good look...when you're a 30-40 something, okay, but not after 55.

Carrie is selfish she will be over it in less than a year with someone new

I know it’s not the point in the story but parents should realize how much damage divorce does to a child’s mental well being. Even if they look ok and act ok, that doesn’t mean they are.

Sad to age but not mature. Carrie is still the same unreliable cheater and Aidan clearly knows it hence this polite and not too obvious "F off".

This show is an insult to the original SATC. How is this still on?

I didn't think I was being critcized, or censored and I certainly do not need to be condescendingly told by you to 'simmer down' because I acknowledged that people have different viewpoints. Just think Carrie could of had Aidan all to herself,but we all know how she messed that up. Now Aiden has luggage and it’s heavy. Part of me really wanted it to see it work out.

Good for Aidan. Right decision. Carrie just doesn’t get it. She could’ve had it a beautiful life and family with him but she chose an empty romance instead. Now she’s alone. Being 60 with your girlfriends as your soulmates is no bueno.

This is why I don’t date men with kids… I’ve said thanks but no thanks to many guys who have kids. I have dated those guys with baggages, it’s annoying and honestly I don’t want to hear about his kid this and that. Not my kids either, especially the grown kids. I chose not to have kids. Why I want to hear about his kids?! Don’t care how sexy or charming he may be, guys with kids are NOT datable. We need a man who can put us first. If a guy has even one kid that occupies his mind all the time he’s not ready for a relationship of any kind. Guys with baggage aren’t datable.
