My best friend died in a car accident. He went through the windshield. He was alive for about 20 minutes. A stranger sat with him. She comforted him. He couldn't speak he just cried and stared at her. That was my best friend. He was a die hard gangster rap kind of guy. I introduced him to sevendust one day because they had a lot of bass hits and he loved his system. He fell in love. Only rock or metal he liked. He died before this came out. Then this came out. About a brother who passed. I can't express how much this song means to me.

I don't know if anyone else noticed it, but the smack that Clint gave the guitar to go back into the second verse and Clint knew it was loud through his and LJ's headphones...and the way LJ had to bite his lip to keep from laughing and go back serious...that's why I love this band. Little subtle moments like that.

This song hits me every time. I remember seeing sevendust live in Cincinnati at bogarts a couple days after lajons brother was killed. He couldn't finish it so the crowd did it for him. They always put on an amazing show

My son put this song on my phone as my ringtone and if I only had known I would be listening time and time again after his death from covid at age 36 and his spirit is alive with Abba Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you Sevendust for this heartfelt song, your voices, lyrics, and music for it. Tears have rolled down my face remembering.

that shows how commercial you are ... sevendust its all about chorus .. they do not take you to another stratosphere like zeppelin or sabbath ..

Zeppelin is over rated trash, and Sabbath has been eclipsed by generations of Metal bands. You live in the stone ages, and you can have what ever Neanderthal taste in music you like, and others can enjoy what they like.

tthompson719 big Sevendust fan since mid 90s. Fully agree, lyrics are sick! Every song badass. Helped me through some hard times. Saw live about 5 times. Just a band that literally does it for the fans and enjoyment of music. Don't care about the corporate dollar, have never sold out.

Its called a generation without cocaine. Pretty badass right? My parents always ask why my hair is still black and I bought the album that this song came off of when I was in high school. They did cocaine. I didnt.

Easily one of the best musical tributes I've ever heard and this version is amazing.

I went to the bar with these guys 18 years ago. Sat and drank with LJ. Warm Jager. I was just a kid. He could not have been more down-to-earth.

I have seen them 15 times (my 32 year old son 14 times) The one time without him I met the band and he was to young to go. They are the best out there.

I’ve listened to this song a hundred times. And every time, im captivated by the guitar, the vocals, and the story. This is a song for the ages, because 100 years from now, it will still be captivating.

I will forever hold this band as one of the best I have ever heard. I got to see them at CPR Fest, 2005 I believe, in Biloxi MI when my Step Dad got tickets from CPR for sponsoring at Barking Dogs Tattoo. The concert was amazing from them. Denial was off the wall. One of the best and most underrated Hard rock bands ever.

Been a fan since I saw them open for some shit band I don't even remember 10+ years ago. I knew this song was special when I first heard it, it is now very relevant to my personal life many years later.
