you realize that by "Syriac Tradition" he means: Church of the East, Chaldean Church, Syriac Orthodox Church, (Who are Mesopotamian), Maronite Church (Who are from Lebanon), Malabar and Malankara Churches (Who are from India) .... So when you say "Syriac Church" are "Arameans" who do you include in your definition ... cause Indians under the Syriac churches are NOT Aramean nor Assyrian

But we preserve the most old dielect of east syriac, and old liturgical tune. The syro malabar church uses 2nd centuary pronunciation of east syriac aramaic, and all other assyrian churches from east now uses post 14th centuary pronunciation and also the aramaic tunes are affected by arabic tunes, but not for indian church, the old tune and old pronunciation is preserved there

Can someone please tell me the name of the first writer he recommended? The one he said had an ecological bent to his writing??? I'd like to look up his writings. Also, I couldn't make out the name of the publisher he recommended for further study by the general public of the Syriac Church. It sounded something like "Vladimia's (something) Press. It was just near the end that he mentioned it.

3/08 Very Important point Often Forgotten /Until 17 Century Syriac used in Chalcedon Orthodoxy Patriarch in Antioch Not just Nestorian Persian Church of East or Syrian Coptic Church/Oriental Church Also Terrible Confusion between Phusis/Nature and Hypostasis that meant different things 4/22 Interesting Oxford when this video was made 11 years ago only University have Masters Degree in Syriac Did Professor Brock student David Taylor succeed him? Also Saint Ephrem in Kerala Cardinal Wiseman studied Syriac and often wonder what led him to this interest likewise Professor Brock or any Westerner?

To pbfan99, Assur History, YusefAlTahir and Assyrianland2. It is so sad that you can not contribute anything of value anywhere there intelligent topics discussed, you always manage to be offended and proud of calling yourselves this and that. Do yourself a favor and do the world a favor, if you have nothing of value to say don't make a fool of yourself and let those like Sebastian Brock and others who've spent their life studying, researching and teaching, listen and learn. And yes, I am Assyrian but don't really care what label you can add.
