This is backwards folks. Members of Congress don't get hired by some federal bureaucrat. They get hired by us. WE'RE the ones who are supposed to be checking out the candidates we vote for. People voted for a candidate without knowing anything about him. THAT'S the failure. Santos is a sociopath. He can't help that. WE fell down. WE didn't do OUR jobs. Bitching about problems is easy and lazy when we should be doing something to prevent them every time we vote. Know the candidates, know your party, and hold your party accountable. It doesn't work out a lot of times but it is actually a form of freedom as we do not have to choose our candidates from the elites or well educated or even the non-criminal. It is good to HAVE options as sometimes the "bad" candidate is better. Not recently though.

Who is Mike, an Irish uncle? I had one and he was such a wonderful person and great teller of wonderful stories about the family. His daughter was Miss S.C. World and was on Johnny Carson's show in 1965 or 66. It was mildly interesting as she married a millionaire from Columbia.

Hire Mike. He's great. I loved every second of him on screen.

I love when they do this segment, but Mike really made it more interesting. Instead of laughing at him (like the audience) everytime he tried to make sense of the objects, I listened intently, paying attention to what he was saying. He put real thought into his answers while everyone else just kind of threw a guess out there. And yeah, I'd love it if Jimmy hired him, but let's give Mike the respect he deserves (I get it that he'd be hired for laughs, but his thought process is fascinating).

If George Santos is not honored with a Guinness award of a man of all lies then Trump should.

You give him way too much credit. He's sloppy, an amateur. He jumped into a high-visibility position before he had all his little "problems" dealt with. He's not very clever. Sociopaths need to understand how to work people. He can work them one at a time, but he tried to work the voting public. Now he's shut down until he leaves office. Who's he going to swindle while he's in office? A House member needs 217 of his colleagues to go along with the deal. The rest is all petty stuff, like who to recommend for flags that flew over the capitol, stuff like that. He's not exactly important enough to be any kind of overlord.
