I'm a Canadian who lived in the US for about a decade but returned home in 2017 when Trump took office. I assumed then that Americans would soon realize that they'd made a horrible mistake, that they were trying to send a message that they didn't like Hillary Clinton but never dreamed she'd lose to a man as supremely unqualified as Trump. Meanwhile, I work at the college across the street from the venue of this year's Milwaukee RNC. So our college campus is closed downtown that week, making classes go "online/hybrid" or forcing students to drive to either Oak Creek or Mequon ( ok, city buses go to Oak Creek but not Mequon) and our college Public Safety is waiting for the Secret Service to approve 103 essential personnel for the college. So far about 23 have been approved, including 20 who work for Milwaukee PBS, which is housed in our campus buildings. Yeah thanks a lot, T-Rump, for ripping on our city. When the DNC was here, the Secret Service employees were all veterans, but their folks now for this event are all newbies. I will gladly be far far away during RNC and working at my normal campus.

Stephen, you are the absolute best. I watch both Kimmel's and your monologues on YT every morning. (Cannot abide Jimmy on NBC) I love Kimmel's insight and he is funny, but you are hilarious. Every day I laugh out loud at something you say. It's how you say it, along with the body language and gesticulations, a true actor's actor. I'll never forget the episode you did on Law & Order Criminal Intent. To be a good comedian you have to be a good actor. When you are doing a skit, you are all in. No cutesy Fallon stuff. No continual smiling while you're saying snarky stuff like Meyers. That's why you are the best over and over, hands down. I love you!

I've worked in healthcare for 20 years, most with geriatric patients, dementia is oozing out of DJT. I've been thinking this for years and it's getting worse. Later stage usually involves incontinence. He's so unstable. I'm not sure he is safe to do his own personal care. If he's elected, he'll get his way with whatever but he won't have the capacity to do anything else, not even wipe his butt or feed himself. If his family really cared, they'd make him get help. This is serious.

My dad just died a few months ago of Alzheimer's. Trump will need to be in an Alzheimer's facility soon. He's definitely at the point of needing stras to drink as he can't bring the glass up to drink out of it.

What's weird is that things in the US are pretty good right now. Inflation is falling, gas prices are falling, crime is falling, the economy is on the upswing, and there hasn't been a newsworthy mass shooting for months. Stock market is high, infrastructure plans are being implemented, prices are down, the migrant "invasion" is exaggerated to mythical proportions, democrats are actually governing, and doing it well. Republicans can't pick a Speaker or kick out MTG.

I have an Australian friend and she sends me memes from her friends about Trump. They cannot believe what’s going on with Trump.

Looking from afar, from the UK, I'm incredulous that such a monster could even be considered to be anywhere near your political system. The things he has done and said have sickened me over the years. We have our own demons in the UK, of course, but nothing quite like this. I live with heart-pounding, stomach-churning anxiety every day about this dictator-wannabe and the entire GOP apparatus propping him up. I can only imagine how terrifying this is to the rest of the free world. My deepest apologies. I will be working very hard to re-elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and Democrats up and down the ticket in my state. I contribute what I can to Democrats around the country.
