RZA'S a deep intellectual mc, dj, producer, & on almost every project he is involved in he rises to the occasion. A real gear/tech head who keeps his beats new and fresh, but also still able to not forget about the gritty grimey boom bap beats that he started with... I've seen footage a Rza playing bass guitar to the drums. Mad gifted brotha who always inspires to keep perfecting your art until your sharp as a dart 🎯 namean. ☠️

ok, I wanna see you say that directly face to face to bobby digital. hed sacrifice his fav production piece by smashing your hating face. and then produce a track using your cries of agony, get the whole clan together and record a classic, grimy 36 chamber type banger with your lilbitch cries as part of the intrumental. worry bout your own vocab, build a hip hop group, take that group to the top for a multiple year sretch, then you cab mock the Abbots speach, you must not understand that those who have rapped for years, tend to speak how they wish, and if you've rapped for years, and have a style, most arent gonna speak how your lame ass expects.. bottom line, the main Wu clan member can say wtf he wants.. shhiiit I can to, and Im so underground, my only fans exist in my city(Riverside)-Maxcap the Virtual Pope

Rza is one of the craziest producers and has some of the best sampling techniques but I beg to differ. Dilla got some of the most craziest sounds, and Fantastic Vol. 2/Donuts is the best sampling I have ever heard in my life. Nothing by anyone else even comes close
@Handle_Edit
4 жыл бұрын
Yea he didn’t invent sampling that’s for sure. Some crazy white guy did it with his sampling machine that he invented. But regardless of that, RZA put a mark on HipHop and Music in general. If you hear a RZA beat, you know it’s a RZA beat. That’s the beauty of his music. If you listen to a Dre beat, you might say...I don’t know? Did he make this shit? Lol, that’s cus Dre didn’t make them beats beside those old NWA stuff. If you listen you will know the difference. Listen to DJ Paul’s beats from 3-6 mafia. You can tell he made it. Most producers or beat makers make their mark from a style they create.

I have a sp-1200, MPC 3000, MPD 32, Nord, Edirol PCR-300, Tascam 1" reel to reel, Lexicon 224, (hardware & plugin), the list goes on... Hardware has a warmer sound than anything digital. At the time i thought it was cool and i learned t, and still have thousands of beat files... But i always come home to hardware, it just feels better. When you maike a beat on a computer you feel soul-less. When you bang one out on a mp with a sample off some record or a vhs or cassette tape or something, it just feels right.

He said Fatal was made in the Roland MV8000. That beat knocks. Then he said Cuban Linx II was made in it. I wonder if that included State Of Grace because that RZA beat was classic and originally made for CL2 as the lead single before it got delayed. I would think parts of Wu-Tang's 8 Diagrams and RZA's Digi Snacks had to have been made in there too, since Unpredictable was originally made for CL2 under the title Thug World, and You Can't Stop Me Now ft. Inspectah Deck was also for CL2 under the title No Matter How Hard You Try. The Scratch issue they quickly showed detailed all of these songs the interviewer got to hear as a CL2 RZA songs listening party. Even had that Rockstars & Smoking Barrels from the end of the video that unfortunately also didn't make the final cut. Anyone interested in RZA's beats from this era should look up that issue.

ok, I wanna see you say that directly face to face to bobby digital. hed sacrifice his fav production piece by smashing your hating face. and then produce a track using your cries of agony, get the whole clan together and record a classic, grimy 36 chamber type banger with your lilbitch cries as part of the intrumental. worry bout your own vocab, build a hip hop group, take that group to the top for a multiple year sretch, then you cab mock the Abbots speach, you must not understand that those who have rapped for years, tend to speak how they wish, and if you've rapped for years, and have a style, most arent gonna speak how your lame ass expects.. bottom line, the main Wu clan member can say wtf he wants.. shhiiit I can to, and Im so underground, my only fans exist in my city(Riverside)-Maxcap the Virtual Pope

i'm not going at him. i love rza. i was just responding to someone's comment about his place in hip hop history. rza didn't invent sampling, but he clearly took it someplace nobody had been before. only built 4 cuban linx.../liquid swords is the best sampling EVER.

Rza is one of the craziest producers and has some of the best sampling techniques but I beg to differ. Dilla got some of the most craziest sounds, and Fantastic Vol. 2/Donuts is the best sampling I have ever heard in my life. Nothing by anyone else even comes close
@Handle_Edit

@BillyBey1 I have Reason 5, Cubase 6, Hella plugins, & I still use hardware. Hardware will never be obselete in music. Never. I have a sp-1200, MPC 3000, MPD 32, Nord, Edirol PCR-300, Tascam 1" reel to reel, Lexicon 224, (hardware & plugin), the list goes on... Hardware has a warmer sound than anything digital. You can warm it up with software too, but its not the same. The dynamics are somehow a tad bit different... But the general public dont know unless they are audiophiles ya know?

True. I started on a eps 16 way back. I also remember getting fruityloops 1, the very first one, my father got it for me. At the time i thought it was cool and i learned t, and still have thousands of beat files... But i always come home to hardware, it just feels better. When you maike a beat on a computer you feel soul-less. When you bang one out on a mp with a sample off some record or a vhs or cassette tape or something, it just feels right.

How its done! Roland shaolin Style! BIIIMM!!!
what i'm trying to say is even if you use software, you can still use hardware like a midi controller. and if you have an akai MPD32 the quality of the pads, knobs, faders are that of the MPC. and with software, you can do more. have a good day
Rza is a highly advanced robot from the future.
I see he has the x6 in the studio my favorite piece of hardware
brilliant

@baggylean Don't hate. Elevate. Rza is a GOD when it comes to production.
Dj Premiere came out in 1989 with Gang Starr "No More Mr Nice Guy"
@topcatcarter This is a really old video. RZA has moved on. Even back then the MV had minimal use in his studio. You can still have fun with the MV. Just know that the MV-8000/8800 has been discontinued.
MAN!! That MV is big and heavy as hell!! It's cool,but I prefer Akai's MPC's.
Id love to know how to use equipment like this..and afford it
@auxilliarydrain plus youd have to find one cuz theyre out of production ,stopped makin them couple years back
Hmm ive never really seen anyone use this machine. I wonder how it compares to the akai mpc 4000 which i think came out around the same time
"specalalations" Ha. my man!
I have the MV8800,and as I tell folks,it was never meant to be an MPC.It's a studio in a box,period,and you can do everything inside.I have other samplers are comparing them is just a waste of time.It's small minded to think because a sampler has pads,it needs to be compared to an MPC.

@@badboy69cancer entirely different machine..the Roland 8800 was a decent upgrade from the 8000.I would say, it's better for someone like RZA,,for cinematic,electronic productions..I believe the MPC X is way more modern so it just does what the MPC 4000 and the Roland MV did.
There is one at the pawnshop for $129.Never use one before. Does it have any preloaded sounds on it or does it have to be loaded? I havent seen a video with someone loading it up from the power up. Dont know anybody that has one. All i ever had were MPCs

Hes from Staten island NY. Not Brooklyn.
What's the name of the beat in the beginning?
i believe pete rock dropped the lp all souled out pr something in 91 it was probably his first production work. rza's first production work was mind of a genius i think but dont quote me on that
Can anyone tell me which one of his instrumentals was playing at the end? A song title would be appreciated.
