I bought an MV-8800 back in 2008 and I am still using it! My best buy ever! To sample I use two TD-100 Summit's Audio tube DI boxes where I connect my synth outs or a turntable and I do all the work internally into the MV-8800! Thanks for the video!

You got a jewel dude. The Machine is a Beast. A little slow but a Beast nonetheless

@@TheRealGordonBlu I don’t mind slow since I’m a hobbyist, I treat beat making like an oil painter to his canvas, I’m in no hurry. Did you swap out the floppy drive for a card reader? And if you did, what capacity cf card do you recommend? ✌🏾

I used to own an MV about 15 years ago. Damn times fly. Never really got into it or had it long enough to learn how to use it as it got stolen. Now I use an mpc live 2 which is an incredible machine that every day I'm learning something new a year later. Love this video though awesome knowledge and really showing that hardware is capable of magic when you learn then deeply and when you are talented. Subscribing

Ya know what my man the Mike Acusta guy or how ever you spell his last name.Anyway it seemed that he help design it to his liking as far the dj aspect. They didn't quite show what it really could do.He did a good job but it seemed he centered it around the remix instead showing its like a actual daw.More people would of been on to it.

🤔 is it possible to use the mv as a midi controller for a daw like serato studio? The feel of the pads is 2nd to none in my opinion.

How do I set up the MV to track out into my daw?? No videos on youtube touch that subject. Thanx

you need mv8 op1. or you can use functions like split midi , break stuff down into individual tracks and then send it out individually

My man, peace and thanks for what you do. I want to use my mv8800 as my everything. Is this possible? I’m used to production on logic but am looking to just using my MV. Is this doable from the angle that, frankly, although I have my MV, I acquired it as a collector and have never really sat to deepen on it. Hence, I’ll be learning. But I’m willing. And I got the op1 on it. Finally, I have all my sounds coming from classic synths. LMK. Peace.

It is VERY possible to do it All on the MV. If you are skilled at mixing & know your way around the equalizer. If you know the how to’s of multiband compression & mastering theres no limit

Yes! You only need an analog bass synth like the Moog Minitaur and you are ready to fly with JUST the MV!

heya, is the 8800 worth the extra cost compared to the 8000 these days? thanks for sharing your knowledge in this video, production quality was good, audio levels all sounded good from my phone. Good luck in all your future endeavors. 🐉🔥
