@@tanimation7289 no i played both 3 and 4 and never saw a machine. its main plot makes you collect runes to get back your memory but have no idea about factory part.

It's great to see Rune Factory 5 since Rune Factory 4. I recall that they wanted to follow up with Rune Factory 5 after RF4, but the developer went bankruptcy on 2013. Great to see that the development team is back, and now working on the project that they wanted years ago.

@@notyoureverydaywatch204 Yeah, the developer Neverland went bankrupt halfway through the development of Lord of Magna: Maiden Heaven (which honestly wasn't very good, since you could tell it was rushed and half-finished, but I got it anyway to support them). Reading RF5's Wikipedia article, it seems RF's series producer founded his own studio, Hakama. I guessing he brought back his old team.

Rune Factory series is a hidden gem since it ever released on the original DS. They need more recognition.

It only didn’t originally because it only had a male protagonist. That does push some of the female players away, even if not all. Rune Factory 4 was the point that brought a lot more to the party. I’m still shocked they went bankrupted after that. That game is a masterpiece :)

blame their execution that make this game like.. several years behind. this is 2020 but with that PS2 graphics.. bruh what??. also but yeah RF need to be more popular. because this is the FIRST GAME THAT IN THIS GENRE. Not Stardew Valley. People keep mistaking that stardew valley is the first game of this genre. the Farming simulation + RPG + Dating game genre.

I’m so hyped for this game. RF4 on the 3DS was the first farming type game I ever played and loved it to death and led me to other games like it. I picked up the Switch port day 1. This looks so fun.

@@_loveableidiot the 3DS version is also $30 on the eShop and the physical version is over double that price from resellers since it’s no longer available in retail. So you wouldn’t have saved anything and the Switch version is the definitive version so don’t feel bad about buying it.

Hello everyone and welcome to the Rune Factory fandom! If anyone is interested in playing past Rune Factory titles. What I recommend is: Rune Factory 1(Nintendo DS but you can play it on your 3DS), the Rune Factory Frontier (the somewhat continue of Rune Factory 1, it’s for the Wii), Rune Factory Tides of Destiny (Wii, and PS3) and of course Rune Factory 4. Rune Factory 2 is weaker in the series and 3 is absolutely insane! It is nothing like the rest of the series…first time playing 3, I don’t recommend. But it is still a good game. Just that town, is insane and so is your main character!😂

Rune Factory is my mother's favorite game. Though all she told me that she loved the farming. I wondered why this game specifically was the one she loved the most. Unfortunately I'll never will get to know why, but when this game comes out. I'll play it to fulfill a personal understanding and reflecting about my mother. I'll play it to experience what my mother loved. I want to do this for both her and me. Love ya mom :)

If you want to deep understand about this series that your mom loved i suggest you to try Rune Factory2 (NDS) aside from RF4 RF2 had the most memorable stories till now and try search and listen to Rune Factory2 opening song you might love it too

Is understable since the Japanese version have bugs and Low FPS when you play it, even they launch a patch on the lauch date and that was not enought to fix it.

If you've ever read the blogs by the English translators at Marvelous, at least in the case of RF4, this game would take a lot of localization work to do so that's there too (from what I remembered, RF4's script had a 100k+ word count, not counting the challenges for fitting the dialogue in the text boxes). Here's hoping they also fix the bugs that were noted while they got the time!

I’m really glad that Rune Factory has a new game coming out soon. I’m looking forward to playing it when it releases.

XSeed are localizing and publishing it in North America. Hakama is the studio that made the game. Which is the studio Rune Factory series creator Yoshifumi Hashimoto founded a few years ago.

I'm honestly so excited to play a 3d farming game that doesn't look and feel like a handheld game like Olive Town does!! When the MC was harvesting her crops it gave me major Save the Homeland and A Wonderful Life nostalgia. Can't wait for real console level harvesting like the old days!!

I've been playing my old Nintendo DS Rune Factory games, so hyped for RF5. Also RF3 on the DS has sky rocketed in price and the RF 1 and 2 are slowly following that trend also. I'm kinda glad because it means more people are getting into the Rune Factory games. They're amazing, but sucks the prices of such good games have gone up by so much. I really hope they remake RF3 though.

The series has a real good combo, and there is generally alot to do. The characters have a ton of dialogue, and it is just a fun world. If you are interested in trying it out there is Rune Factory 4 Special on the switch.

There are other publishers who've presented already with games that are coming out on the Switch as well, so Nintendo is free to upload the trailers for those (e.g. Devolver Digital already presented Wizard with a Gun, so Nintendo already uploaded the trailer in their channel)

I loved the port of 4, been waiting for this to finally get translated!

I can guarantee -- this game is freaking fantastic!!! I preordered the Japanese super-collectible edition and have been playing it sense. As a long-time Rune Factory fan, this game did not disappoint! I'm so freaking hyped that this game exists, and I'm so glad it's awesome. I'm sure I'll get the English version when it comes out as well.

I love Rune Factory. I mean, I've only played Rune Factory 4 on my 3ds and I've only seen trailers for Rune Factory 5. But still I love it. My uncle told me that RF5 isn't coming out till 2022 now. That sucks. I wish it came out sooner, this year. I've been waiting for it every since it was first announced and I saw the first trailer for it. Japan's lucky that they already got it. I've got all my money saved up for RF5 too and it's actually hard trying not to use the money on something else but I'm trying to resist buying other games and stuff because I really really want Rune Factory 5. Also this trailer looks good and sounds good too. I like the english voices and words too. Anyway, I hope RF5 comes out really soon. I want RF5 super bad. I'm excited for it to come out...

Remember when there was a Rune Factory 5 teaser during the Rune Factory 4 trailer?

Hopefully they release it in dual audio.. Though it’s next year, the positive side of things is they can spend more time fixing the bugs. Wouldn’t want such an anticipated game to have low sales.

@@braidena1633 yeah, I have played all of the games of the RF-series but it has truly lost its glow after Neverland said goodbye Since you love collecting shrink wrapped games, the premium box for RF5 is actually honestly nice and its size doesn't take much space :)

@@NoelTheWanderer I'll keep an eye on it.. I kinda went a bit overboard the past week with this stuff. Pioneers of olive town was at best buy for 60. I liked the box art, looked like a nice little set, and thought why not. I might even buy this game in the future, just to preserve the packaging. It looks interesting

@@NoelTheWanderer I absolutely love Rune Factory and I played SoS back when it was Harvest Moon on the SNES. One of my favourites was BTN (the original to FoMT). But I'm seriously not hyped at all for this (or the recent SoS games). It all just screams "unpolished" to me. The areas and buildings look so out of proportion and empty. Horrible terrain textures too yuck. It's a stark contrast to the super detailed character models, guess all the budget went to those haha

I'm a little sad the're leaving the top down format, still looks great though!

I'm pretty sure at least one of the girls in this trailer is Erica Mendez. I recognize her Raphtalia/Yuuki voice anywhere.

I haven't looked it up so don't quote me on this but I think the voice actor for scarlett also did edelgard from fe 3 houses. The voice sounds the same to me.

Rune factory 4 was absolutely amazing. Im so excited for the 5th one!!!!

I've been waiting for this game since rune factory frontier on the Wii. I'm glad the combat looks more complex than 'Whack thing till it dies with sword, or stand there and get bullied while you violently brush/tame it.'
