I had no idea it died. I must admit I fell out of playing it for a bit, but when I came back I was so excited to keep playing it. It takes some work to do so, I'm playing RFF on the Wii and I only have two friendship points with Iris, but it's worth it in the end. It's a beautiful game, and I'm excited to one day check out the game on other Nintendo consoles.

Marvelous, the creator of the original harvest moon and also the publisher for rune factory hired most of Neverland staffs that worked on rf. Lol edit for being a derp. Switched between Marvelous and Natsume..

@@dreamingahopefuldream4439 Agreed! Gosh, I must have played it through six, seven times or some such and never tired of the writing and gameplay. The only thing that did always bother me was the best way to level up smithing and crafting, leveling up all those shields with iron over and over. I could do without that in this one. 😂

I have been playin RF4 for a while and I am having a blast with this game! It's such an enjoyable game, and I am happy they FINALLY announced the RF5 for the rest of the world. Let's hope it's early 2021 ehh

It's a mismash genre so you really won't get bored. Want to relax? There's a farming option where you can level up eveything. Want to fight? There's a ARPG option. Want to dating sim? Yeah we got that too. Or maybe you're the Crafting game enthusiast. Yep got that covered.

They’re all fun but 4 is the best by far. You should definitely give it a try. It had peak voice acting as well as an option for both the original Japanese and English.

They haven't broken the tradition of having amnesiac protagonist, what a silly meme. I love it

I'm so happy they brought traditional farming back. I noticed the farm is on the back of a dragon similar to how the monster barn was inside of the golem in tides.

I just noticed, the "5" in the tittle's logo looks like the colours of Raven in her Phoenix form. Yeah, I know, not all RF is about Raven.

I have been waiting for this for SO long. I have every game in the Rune Factory franchise and I LOVE THEM ALL! It is by far one of my number one favorite series and I am just stupid excited for this game!

I play a wide variety of games, from gta fallout,doom,mk11, etc. to mario games,ace attotney, animal crossing, pokemon,monster hunter, and I'll say the rune factory series is so underrated. I like how you have a day-to-day progression and the amount of dialogue and events just makes the game more immersive

Baba Bobo It had a lot more charm than Frontier. Tides had better controls, frame rate, and new features but Frontiers characters, world, and plot is still superior. I love both but frontier I would consider better than tides.

RF4 was released back in 2014 if i recall in the west but was out for at least a year in japan at the time? Dont remember the details 100% but i know neverland went bankrupt before western audiences got it.

I know this is old comment, but i really need to say this. A Rune Factory Anime? How about no. One of the big important thing in RF are about the marriage candidate and their character development. In the game we can pick 1 from any of them and look at their event and using save/reload method to see marriage live with any of them. BUT if its on anime, they won't be able to do that, there is a high chances that an anime would make MC only date and marry 1 single character. Which mean we can only see 1 single character character development and we can only see a marriage live with 1 single character. An Anime would ruined this very important thing, so its a big NO for anime.

Rune Factory games are so great and special, each one was beautiful, from 1-4 and now we're getting a new one, I'm so excited

Absolutely, let's hope they can translate the gameplay and tempo of the first 4 games to a console experience this time. Rune Factory Frontier and Oceans always felt off to me, because of the huge open space and not so much to do compared to RF3/4.

It's been so long! I was in middle school when I first played RF4. I put hundreds of hours into it, it was one of my favorite games ever. I remember how devastated I was with the news about Neverland. I'm an adult now, and Rune Factory is still dear to my heart. I can't wait to finally play RF5!

@@yukian8026 As with everything there are downsides :(. Thank you for your input! I like to see how others that're playing the JP version like it and it kinda gets me prepared for what's to come. I do believe that it kind of just popped outta no where (for me anyways) and suddenly being released. I wish it had a bigger budget and more time but it is what it is.

When i woke up today i had totally forgotten about the Mini Showcase. When i turned on my PC and saw that the Nintendo Channel is Live on Twitch i was like: "Oh yeah, there was something." I tuned in literally at the first Trailer for Monster Hunter being shown (*phew* Made it just in Time). Was only following it casually while browsing the Internet until i suddenly see the RF5 Logo and my jaw dropped a bit. Finally some Game Footage and for sure a title i'll preorder once i'm able to. This really made my day. Thank you! ♥

Can't wait so excited for the game I literally shed a tear when I heard that a new Rune factory was coming I never thought that it would happen but it finally did!!

I've been binge playing the RF games again since June. So glad to have this news :)

The previous games are like Harvest Moon but you have a full Zelda like adventure system as well. Including dungeons, bosses and a whole storyline. Each Protag has amnesia which is just a part of the Lore. RF4 you start by being thrown off an airship, landing on a divine dragon and being confused for the prince of the kingdom (even if you pick a girl). From there you must save the guardians, uncover a secret plot of the evil empire and more!

I honestly just think that the announcement that said it was coming out in 2020 meant that it was coming in Japan in 2020 and being sent to the west later so I always kinda expected it to come some time in 2021

I've been waiting for years for this game!! I'm so excited!!!

I recently bought Rune Factory 4 when it re-released for Switch, and now I'm really hyped for this new one. It looks effing amazing. Like, good enough that I think it might do for Rune Factory what Persona 5 did for the Persona series and Fire Emblem Three Houses and Awakening did for their series.

@@morinomajou What I meant specifically was that it made it's series more popular and well known. But fine, I guess you didn't like 3H and felt the need to complain about what you didn't like about it. Good for you, but I still like it, don't really care what you think of it, my opinion won't change based on yours, and I won't waste time arguing with you about it as literally anything else I do with my time would be a better use of it.

@@morinomajou I don't really see 3H as "Dark and Edgy" and the only characters in that game I think that describes are two members of the Blue Lions, and maybe Edelgard's backstory, but I don't think that describes Edelgard herself unless you side against her, but I think that's a fair reaction from her if you do. And sorry for accusing you of trying to start an argument. I don't know if it was the wording or if it's just me being paranoid, but it legit sounded to me like you were trying to troll me.

I love Rune Factory 5 and it's predecesors but the enviroments need to be worked on. They look too empty. Hopefully they'll have enough time to improve it overall

@@dabadidabadax5 I have to admit I agree. The "flowers" in the one grassy area you can see the female protagonist run by look like pink-wrapped condoms scattered around. They're literally just squares.

@@cherryoctopie lol yes. I thought the game would be 2d like Rune Factory 4 for example, but with better graphics and improved enviroments, a bigger town... But if you are going to go with the 3d route, at least do it right goddamnit. I hope it looks so much better when it releases...
