This was some of the best commentating I've heard in a smash tourney. I find that usually commentators tries too hard to be funny to cover for their lack of actual game knowledge. These guys had very little in the way of memeing and forced humor, Stayed grounded and relevant to the match very well. Good job guys!

I have watched a LOT of Leon’s sets in the past few months, and something I’ve noticed fairly often is this: he loses the first match of a set and then goes on to win 3-1 or 3-2. This just goes to show how well he can adapt to his opponents play style and learn their bad habits. He always seems to read a nasty back air or side b to take stocks quickly. It’s almost like he uses the first game just to get the download, not really fully expecting to win. Then he goes on to destroy his opponent (not saying that’s what happens in this set, I’ve only watched the first game so far).

Bowser and his play style are very reactive, hides and counters from shield very well

13:20 This String was brutal. You cannot afford to be taking these kinds of hits from Bowser. You can tell Wadi was panicking with some of these options he was picking.

Two characters I’m afraid of when I encounter them in bracket, especially more so after seeing some of these KOs lol

Leon is my favorite player in this game

Leon shows that he is a bowser not to be messed with. Both played really well overall.

Yes suuure that must be why we see a lot of bowsers in top 8 of majors right ? It's absolutely not like it's you who struggle dealing with it so you proceed to call it a noob character. Losing to your cousin Timmy is okay, you can't be the best everywhere :). But on the other side, it's true that bowser is really strong against people who don't really know how to play the game.

Leon really fired up after that first match Wadi had a hard time adapting once his upb ledge stall stopped working

I'm surprised nobody is talking about 2:55, that is the most BS thing I've ever seen in Smash. Bowser's arm was clipping through ROB and somehow it didn't connect.

Ah, C-tier event refers to how competitive the event is, i.e. how many entrants there are and how many of them are notable players, not which characters are allowed. So like while Run It Back was C-tier, EVO and Apex and such are S-tier.

Ridori I would put Bowser in low high tier and Rob in high high tier, both characters have great tools, but Bowser’s recovery holds him back

Lezzei coming from someone who used to main Rob and now Bowser, Wadi played this matchup pretty bad, Wadi should not be challenging bowser in the air, Bowser’s ariels come out much faster, if wadi stays grounded and uses gyro and tilts more he should have been able to win, León was making great reads tho, props to him

Yeah Leon just had a read on Wadi after first game so I don’t see any bias
