I don't play rossa, but I love seeing everything that this character can do

Once any bowser player starts down-airing all over the place, you know theyre either shook or a scrub. Leon aint no scrub, Dabuz had him shook

Its not exactly shook. In this matchup, that angle is pretty much Bowser's most reliable way in. Dabuzz knows this matchup pretty well, and he's always placing himself in a way that makes sure Bowser's flamethrower whiffs.

djf236 such a shame too. Another thing that was just a weird option was in Game 5 when Leon tried to grab while Tough Guy tanks the jab instead of something like jab or tilt.

Leon is an amazing player but I feel his main weakness is landing which makes sense because that’s bowsers weakness as a character. However that being said I feel he can still mix it up better than he does. You don’t always have to fall straight down or dair into your opponent.

I love Dabuz Rosalina here and on smash 4 there is a lot behind playing to make it work, that’s why only a few people play her.

Bowser is a bullshit character. He gets away with far too much cheese for a heavy. You can intelligently outplay him the whole match, and all he needs to do is finally land two of the side Bs he's been spamming the whole match and one smash attack to take your stock.

Say what you want about dabuz playstyle being boring but i'll always root for him when he uses rosalina in ultimate , i mean he is pretty much the only relevant player using her and showing how good she can be

He was one of the only pros using Rosa and everyone gave him hate because she was OP in smash 4. If she was so OP and easy to use they why did barely anyone else use her?

Ophelia Valentine Yeah, I main RosaLuma myself and in smash 4 there weren’t many rosa pros and was hard to learn her, I can only name a few Falln,Kirihara and Dabuz, now in ultimate it’s even harder, only Dabuz is using her at this level ;-;

VirtualZone Gaming Yes that’s the thing about Rosalina. She was not hard to use in smash4 at a basic level but she was hard to use at pro level. Taking control of two characters at once is not as easy as it seems especially when going up against pro players that know how to deal with Luma. Rosa alone is very vulnerable and her range and power decreases. I’d say she drops like two tiers being on her own. Plus she’s not a character you can make many mistakes with. She has slow but powerful moves and her slow air mobility also leads her to be punished easily.

Leon: hey, you wanna smash? Girlfriend: yeah, why not? Leon: its gonna be special 😏 Girlfriend: ok, i'll come over 😌 Leon: *puts out controller* Girlfriend: what are you doing? Leon: *BOWSER DOWN THROW*

Why do i need to skip like 4 mins of the video just to view the match, why not just start the recording for the vid as the players are choosing their characters, instead of dabuz making the o 👄 o

Damn such a difference between Leon’s play here (game’s 3 & 4) vs the set with Leffen. Something happened after Game 2 that threw LeoN’s play completely off. And I’ve always said Battlefield is not a good map for Bowser lol same thing that cost him at Spectrum 100. Bring it back in Loser’s run LeoN!!

It's the matchup. And BF is a great map for bowser, if he can actually play the game. It's just dabuz the weenie hut cheese lord.

T&C and BF are two of the best Rosalina stages, Leon should have counter Yoshi... and for those whose said Dabuz cheese or camp, look, Rosa isn’t that good in this game.

Ordinarily, I do think Battlefield works great for him. Just not so much for this matchup.

Just picked up Rose today and im so proud of this man. Gets relatively wrecked in the First game and just immediately adapts. As much as I love non meta picks, Bowser is so boring to watch. Literally command grab spam and rolling fortress.

Game 3 looked like Leon just played Bowser for the first time... Down Air spam is an easy way to throw away your match

Battlefield is actually pretty good for Bowser. The platforms give him good movement and help mix up his limited landing options. The blast zones are far enough away that bowsers weight will help him live longer and he can kill early with side b on the top platform. Why do you think it's a bad pick?

The platforms giving more landing options doesn't apply as much when the matchup is against Rosa, even if it wasnt Bowser, everyone has extreme difficulty falling below a platform against Rosa. Even Ally's Snake couldn't fall below Battlefield platforms against Dabuzz' Rosa. Couldn't see what stages were being banned, but Kalos and Smashville's higher ceiling would have been worth it for those platforms without the stage under them so Rosa wouldn't be able to be under them.

It seemed like the platforms made it harder to get the Luna kills. Rosa can cover that horizontal space under them so well.

Right, cause playing against the heaviest character with the best oos option in the game who also has easy kill options including a command grab that can kill you at 80 gives you an incentive to turn you're brain off and rush him down instead of playing patiently

Imagine being skilled at the game, then using that skill to play a braindead character. You're a villian.

Rosa can be played as aggressive or campy as she wants considering the tools she has, the latter option being frustrating but a viable strategy that I won’t root for in most circumstances. Bowser in low level play is where I consider him brain dead since players in that tier will only spam Smash attacks, Dair and Down B and Side B because he’s a strong character. In Leon’s level of play, he knows how to demonstrate the intricacies of his character (minus delayed Dair momentum now).
