Game 2 is what you think the matchup is. Don't just ignore the rest of the set because it's something different. It's not as one-sided as you think--the rest of the set proves that.

Can we talk about the string at 5:51? That shield pressure with Z-drops to destructive combo was insane, so creative from Umeki! Congrats to both, it was a beautiful set!

Dude I know, it feels so awkward lol. The guy talks kinda weird and in little bursts, while the girl focuses solely on her own observations and has zero back and forth with the other commentator. It just leads to short burts of dialogue followed by silence lol

yea, kinda odd commentating from the dude, but he's at least being playful with it, and the chick is just being boring and monotone, almost like she doesn't want to interact with the guy commentator.

@@fujinyumi5632 - I would argue that it's not. Peach dies at 100 to side b. They can both edgeguard each other. Peach can put on damage, but it takes a lot to kill Bowser.

Those game two combos were insane. I've seen samsora do similar stuff but maybe not quite like that first stock of game two.

it's hard to say that umeki has better combos than samsora for this set. bowser's big body gets combo'd for days (game 1 drag down upair into down smash would not have worked on a smaller character, dair to fair used throughout the set lands more consistently because of bowser's size) plus umeki hasn't been stateside to really show off his skills. both are superb peach/daisy players (i feel that umeki is slightly more aggro than samsora), and that's kind of all that can be said. it will be exciting to see what umeki brings to a bigger/s tier tournament if he enters.

Haley Mai for sure I think umeki lost this set cause he went for too many big combos and got punished. Samsora got the bread butter combos that don’t often zero to death but are definitely effective and consistent

@@YouLittleBuggah umeki def went a little too hard. both he and leon adapted really well to each other though, with umeki avoiding bowser fortress by rolling and leon for punishing dair on shield, and it really came down to last hit on eather side. but ur right samsora goes for more tried and true stuff; umeki has to contend with a different type of skill in japan so maybe that's where such a different style of play comes from.

Game 2 Jesus. Umeki is insane.

Leon is one of my favorites to watch. Same with Elegant. Sick comebacks.

Probably a noob question but why was Leon doing double jumps on stage so much that first set? At least, I would never think to do that with a heavy. It looked deliberate of course, but I don’t get why; is it safe for Bowser to do that while gauging what a Peach/Daisy would do in that situation? I also assume his aerials have better range than Daisy

I feel like if most of the top tiers he struggled got nerfed or if Leon continue to get consistent results to inspire lots of people, Bowser could potentially be one of the best overall characters in the game

@RS1 nah, bomb is good out of jablocks and shieldbreaks, it dosen't need to be more threatening, and it does spike in the initial fall, he's also way too fucking fast for a heavy, being so big and so fast lets him be a lot of places at once, he's literally just fast ganon, and fast ganon is prety nuts

The guy commenter was pretty biased though that was weird

Umeki missed a couple crucial edge guards with his turnips. This match up is very much not in Bowser's favor. He really clutched it out with those flying slams. If Umeki spot dodged a bit more maybe he could have avoided them a bit better

I personally got mixed up by each player individually at least 30x over dear lord. just shows how far i am from reaching their level cause I could not count the amount of times in various situations where I felt I would have fallen for a feint and pulled the trigger with *an* option. FUCK I am inexperienced

海皇インフェルニティ 立ち回り自体は当然ピーチが有利だと思うよ クッパでかいから火力も取りやすいし復帰阻止も刺さるから相性的にピーチに傾くとは思うけど、体重差がかなりあるしクッパ自体の対空性能も高いから「ガン不利」は無い そもそも日本一のピーチ使いが負けてる時点でガン不利なんてあり得ない 机上の空論で相性語るのはエアプだよ

How in the comments are people going to get mad because Bowser uses side b a lot while fighting the highest rated character in the game? People obviously don't know how easily Bowser is punished after every input

It's great when it hits, and being frame 6 means it is very reliable in the hands of a player who's gameplay is so tight and accurate, but people also like to ignore how it has about a full second of recovery if it whiffs.
