@@Popinazo I can't say I agree and sometimes I think the word broken gets overused. I'm sure we'll see more characters pop up in the spotlight as well. I definitely respect Leon's skill and it would be cool to see more of him.

@@MrXsunxweaselx Well let's not say Bowser sucks in this game. His CG is sooo good, he's so fast in this game for his weight, pretty quick and powerful tilts and aerials. The only things that suck is his hurtbox and his recovery in the air, h/e UpB on ground is good.

@@aneau7449 Yeah he's good, but not broken. Leon beat Inkling and Chrom easily and even went the distance with Samsora's Peach. All characters that seriously outrank Bowser on any tier list. Anybody that cries balance at that is a brain-dead baddy.

@@XxSpiffxX I watched the set stream live, his set versus Cosmos almost felt surreal. Like this Bowser player can just show up and absolutely whoop the best Inkling player in the world like he's nothing but a pushover. It was absolutely nuts.

Kameron Schadt bowser is pretty good at pulling of three stocks. He can be really oppressive if played correctly, his weight speed armor and kill power can sometimes make him tough to deal with

so the main downfall of bowser is that he's big, and can be combod easily, but once he gets to around 80% the combos stop working and he's heavy as fuck so he doesn't die soon. on top of that, he gets rage and can end stocks at 60% sometimes with his meaty hits.

2:33 that was the most amazing bowser recovery I’ve ever seen. He was so low that samsora actually went too low to recover, thinking the match was already over.

Uhm... Yes and no. Bowser has a TON of lag after the down b. It's a very dangerous move to use against a skilled player. Yes, it could have been effective, but Peach could have dodged it and punished it. (Sorry for grammar, not english).

This set was so insane. Leon is a fucking powerhouse of a player but Samsora is fucking terrifying

Leon is one of my favs. I love his comittment to bowser and sometimes he shows greatness but occasionally his behaviour becomes erratic and he suffers for it. I guess sometimes you just gotta throw shit out there and see if it sticks but i think because of bowser being such a big target youve really gotta master corect tech chase and reactions and constantly be one step ahead of the dance. Thats the key to bowser mastery.

I really predicted Leon would win this after that Bones set. That 3-stock game 4 was hype at least.

Leon choked at the end but that was an amazing set. Hate to see nerves ruin a great match.

Evan Russell he kept it even throughout game 5 but the nerves of actually getting that last KO really showed with his missed grabs. This is his biggest placement at a tournament yet, so it makes sense but next time he’s in that situation he probably won’t be as panicky at the end

Exactly. That last scramble was a complete mess and a showcase of you losing control during a match. He didn't know what he was doing for a good couple of seconds and was relying on panic buttons to cover him. It happens but damn does it suck when it does.

Samrosa was awesome! He got frazzled during the 3 stock match. His strings are good too, really helps me practice lol

Not gonna lie Leon inspired me to find answers that weren't there before. I like his style a lot

Massive fan of Samsora so extremely happy that he won this, but mad respect to the Bowser for bringing it down to wire. That was tense as heck.

I feel like Samsora's brain shuts down everytime he loses a game. His face just screams confusion and denial. Good thing he's able to get it together before the game starts though.

It's actually the opposite of confusion. When he loses he is replaying the mistakes of the match in his head and thinking about what he could do to fix them. When he wins there isn't much to go over and think about fixing. You see this a lot in the robotic, emotionless Korean gods of Starcraft.

No samsura is thinking of a gameplan but he is human so he is tilted but thats tilt aka clutch factor help him out in ways. Just depends on wich way your tilting up hill or down hill .

I dont think so, if there is a tournament very close to the release of a patch, they always wait. This is true not only for smash but for other games, plus you can see theres no lag on peaches turnips and thats a major change on 3.1

They used patch 3.0.0. In their rules, it says "Smash'N'Splash 5 will use whatever patch is live on 05/17/19." If 3.1.0 came on that date or before, they would use it. No. They wait a week after a patch before they use it at tournaments to make sure everyone is used to the new patch.

Now I’m no bowser main but he probably could’ve benefited from up smash a lot more considering the invulnerability from above combined with peach’s “float right above your head” strategy

It definitely would have made some difference against those side b attacks samsora kept throwing at his shield, as well he wouldn't have thrown him off quite as far a couple times. Maybe it would have made the difference, maybe not. We'll if they get to fight again.
