Dietz is the only one I've found manufacturing dates so far was there any others. I'm still a little newer at this I've got 25 lanterns in my collection the oldest confirmed 1930 so for me your channel is a most enlightening channel 😅😊

When I find them in that condition I don't mess with it. I love it. But most of my lanterns are in need of serious repair. Then. I do feel the need to paint.

I like the proportions of the sg&l better than the dietz. The dietz royal looks a little bottom heavy to the eye which is part of the charm but overall, the sg&l just seems more balanced. Tall and proud.

I have a old dietz little wizard. Can't get it to stop smoking. Changed fuel and wick 2 times. Any suggestions

Maybe lot of soot in your chimney? .. run your wick low ..if you have wick out far it will smoke and soot your glass
