Love the new intro music ,probably something my grandfather would have been playing at the Phi Delt house at Purdue University while mixing up some bathtub gin.

You really have a great collection! I watched most of your videos. And I don‘t know why but one of my favourite lanterns is the Dietz Hy-Lo. I own two versions of the Hy-Lo. One is like yours and one has cross wire. That must be a newer version. I‘m looking forward to watching your next videos.

Ahhh the hy-lo, my favorite lantern. I've got a few myself, the one I currently burn is a 1920.

As simple as the Hy-Lo lift mechanism is, it’s pretty much bulletproof, and one of the easiest to use especially when you’re striking a match in the dark. I think they’re underrated. I’d like to see a video on the vacuum cleaner. I’m not sure I even knew they existed that long ago.

Yes! I agree! Easily lit and maintained! Hoovers first cleaner was the Model 0, 1909 or so!

The only marked LANTERN I not have is a yellow blizzard from Chicago parks department. I've seen videos of some lanterns that said STOLEN FROM Department :)

Rob, I would like to buy that from you someday if you had a globe for it. A local antique store here had one for sale for $35 but it had a newer fuel cap and the airtubes were bent out of shape. They would not budge on the price so I passed on it.

Hahahahaha, no hepa filters in 1927! 🤣 Empty the bag after each use, and ever so often, hand wash the cloth bag.
