Thanks for the review. I've got an RM6, so length of the landmine position wouldn't be a problem. As you noted, due to your shorter rack, the end of the barbell and resulting angle for the attachment did seem further away than ideal - but if it works for you, that's all that matters. My overall configuration would be somewhat prohibitive, as I use spotter arms on the outside and inside for separate squat and bench areas. I was considering this for usage with a quick swap-out for the spotter arm on the outside bench area. However, off-the-rack storage is a concern, as I wouldn't be able to rotate it and tie it back as you have shown here. I don't have any other spare uprights to keep it anchored to, and I also wouldn't want to lean it up against a corner or lay it down loose anywhere. Something I hadn't considered, which you demonstrated fairly well, was the benefit of your foot attachment with the band peg and grip acting as a stop, to allow for easy loading and unloading of the plates. I'd basically have to roll the barbell out to the side and use a deadlift wedge if I wanted to add more than a single 45. Thanks for the unboxing and the comprehensive review. I'm still undecided on my ability to use the product to its full potential given my scenario, but this was informative and helpful.

I’ve been trying to get mine to work where I feel really good about it, but I can’t get it set up, where I can get a good stretch at the bottom, and also bring it up nice and high without my plates hitting the Pritchett attachment. I’m trying to put crash mats to stand on, and trying different attachments right now, so I don’t feel bad about my purchase. I’ll keep experimenting, but it’s going to have to be some kind of workaround. Not gonna lie, I’m definitely experiencing some buyer’s remorse right now. At this moment in time, if I could go back, I wouldn’t buy it. $350 after shipping is kind of steep to feel like I have to figure out some kind of workaround. A 2.0 version is definitely needed. I’m so bummed. I so badly wanted to feel excited about my new purchase. 😢

That’s to bad, sorry you feel that way wish I could help somehow. Do you think you have longer arms them me? Trying to figure it out since I’m not having that problem. I feel like I get a good stretch without the plates hitting the floor or the pad. Also what attachments are you using.

@@azuwhr I’m 6’1” with an average reach. I’ll return with a more detailed answer in a few hours, with the attachments I’m using; I need to step out. Before that, I will say that at 3:36 in this video, I feel you’re not pulling up that much toward your chest. And you’re lifting your chest up and have the chest support more on your stomach-level than what I’m doing. Not meant to come off as criticism at all, simply observations to help us get to the bottom of this. Alright, I’ll be back in a bit.

@@SuperBizalz no that’s fine your correct I’m definitely on my stomach and lower chest. That’s mostly due to how far the bar sticks out. I really like the feel of it though.

@@azuwhr At 6:34 in your video, you show 4 attachments. I have the Landmine straight handle and the parallel landmine handle (standard grip) For me, the parallel landmine handle doesn’t work at all. I hit the attachment every time on The Pritchett accessory. I can kind of make the other one work for me a bit. I’ll just have to try some different angles and other accessories I have with it. As you mentioned in the video, I CAN use it for dumbbell rows, so that helps me feel a little better, but hopefully I can find some combination that I’ll feel good about using with my landmine. Thanks for the replies.

In terms of length of landmine, couldn't you use the Pritchett pad off the side of the rack (ie Pritchett pad attached to front right post, landmine attached where you currently have the Pritchett pad). That way you make use of the width of the rack so that the handles are in the correct position?

Technically you could but all I do is just adjust myself a bit and I get a great back workout. I like where I have it that way I don’t ever have to move it.

Curious, why didn’t you go with the Sorinex bulldog pad? It seems like it would be easier to use, move, store, and even offer more variations. Even getting into your set up it seems like it would easier than the Rogue product.

  • @azuwhr

With the bulldog it doesn’t give the option with the landmine, that I’m aware of. In the video I show the VersaSpot for the dumbbells so I really just wanted a T Bar row option attached to the rack. With this you can do all the same things as the bulldog but what I don’t like is there isn’t a way to rack the dumbbells or barbell that your using. Your forced to just drop them on the floor. Hope that makes sense. Overall it was the landmine capability I liked the most.

@@azuwhr okay gotcha. I was just thinking of the most versatile attachment but it makes sense if the landmine row was the most desired feature. Thank you!

I also have an RM-3, but I have the mini feet on the back of the rack. Because of this, I can attach the landmine further back. Perhaps adding mini feet to the rack would be easier than buying a shorter bar.

Just depends on how much room you have between the rack and wall but great idea.
