@@QualityHVACR Hey there Sir, i did a supply flex plenum before like this....im only concern was when heat stripes turn on will it melt black lining inside flex...so what i did was put pookie/duct sealant inside flex for that purpose. What you think on the sealant inside flex for heat strips?

I was thinking the same exact thing about the inner flex melting only thing I've done before was made a little bit bigger plenum so it had a little bit more space between it for the air to start cooling down

@@jameschristy9966 Here in Florida a lot of places attach the flex straight to the top of the air handler (not how we do it). I haven't really come across one melted even that close. We tend to max out at 10kw on heat strips here so maybes with 15's it might.
Great job! The Bosch equipment has a dip switch on the heat pump that you have to change to make the 3 ton capacity to 2 ton capacity. It should be J2 on the inverter board.
I just installed one of those Bosch unit here in Oregon for the first time. The are super quiet compared to a single stage heat pump. There was a 2 port ductless condenser right next to it and was comparable in noise level. Overall very impressed! Keep the good work!!
Great Install, I own and operate an AC company here is Hawaii and I would send one tip your way that has become a standard for us. When the condensation pipe comes out of the AHU we always install an "X" pvc fitting straight off of the AHU, we put caps in the top and front. This allows us when servicing to use a Chimney Sweep type product to clean the connection between the MIP and the drain pan which usually is the clog point on drain pans.

Good tip!
You the man. Thanks for giving advice for us new owners.
Definitely a good idea to have aux. heat in the air handler. With the house right on the river it will need to go into defrost and it offers a back up plan if the refrigerant circuit or components fail. Clean install.
You are Goals man! I like how you are so professional and very detailed with your work. I’m first year service tech and loving it , keep up the great content!
Very clean install! Good to see others taking pride in their work 👍
I appreciate you to share your videos and experiences on hvac it’s been really helpful for me
Great install super clean, I love the Aprilaire filter. You should look into the DiversiTech WS-1 Wet Switch Flood Detector for your overflow pan. the way you have it now the pan will need to fill up half way with water before the sensor trips the sensor. The DiversiTech senses it right on the floor of the pan and will shut the system down so you don't have to drain the pan of all the water. I have been using them for 20 years, and they have always been super easy and durable.
In Florida we do so many horizontals with emergency pans. Tip is to lower the pan switch cork to where it almost touches the bottom of the pan so if it fills you don’t have to empty the whole pan. In your situation it’s not a huge deal, we are in an attic where you don’t want to risk spilling on the dry wall ceiling cleaning it out.
Super clean install. Love the Bosch systems!
The Bosh units are built so well. I am really thinking about installing one in my home. The DC inverters are the way to go for sure!!

Make sure you install a surge protector on the condenser at least to keep from frying the board . That is the only problem I've had out of them .

I would probably install the Bosch at my house but I don’t need the heat pump. My only concern is finding parts but I assume the dealers have parts. In my area, we have tons of power surges and lightning so you need to install a surge protector on both the condensing unit and air handler.

Pump the brakes if you have any humidity concerns esp in spring and early fall when temps aren’t bad but humidity high.
Nice work ! Your installs are very clean and neat . Great craftsmanship also kudos on tools very professional you always work smarter not harder !!!!
The job came out beautiful and can not ask for better job than that.
Nice job here in Pennsylvania we put heat kits in every air handler we'd go below zero quite often
What a great install, the 8444 stats are great
The work is Clean as always. Love the Quality 😉. Costumers must be super Happy
I’m in Mississippi and put risers under those outdoor units. They will build up ice when it gets extremely cold- which is rare, but it happens.
Clean work 💪 Sure do appreciate the videos
Super clean work! I’m diggin it!
Nice install. One thing you missed to point out, on the condensers, you have a switch to select 2 or 3 ton & 4 or 5 ton capacity to match your air handler. Good job. Edgton from Bosch
beautiful work MR. Zach. you take the cake for being a perfectionist
Your installs are so Picture perfect 👌. And great videos editing. One day I’ll edit mine, now I do one take and leave in all mistakes
Very clean install! I did the Bosch training here in pa at my local distributor and these system have some awesome technology. I still haven’t found the right customer to install one yet but can’t wait until the day comes.

Tony the right customer is in a dry cold climate-these min communicating units Greta for that climate, but I uiubhave serious humidity esp trunk seasons. Like you do in PA,humidity control. Huge problem. These units are quiet, priced well, simple commissioning, thermostats agnostic, and great for retrofits and old ducting or replacing a one or two speed unit. bUT they do NOT provide as precise a climate control or deal remotely well with humid conditions, esp in trunk seasons. They aren’t designed to -they are superb i. Dry winter conditions , they extract less mositure, but for same reason and by design they are awful for humid trunk seasons.
Install looks great! The company I work for has installed tons of these Bosch heat pumps with basically no issues. I installed a 2.0 3 ton condenser at my parents house this summer running a dual fuel system with propane furnace backup (Wyoming winters) and they haven't needed to top off their tank yet so far this winter when my house which is similar in age and build 2 miles down the road is using $300/month of propane. I think I know what I'm doing this summer!

Perfect unit for your dry cold winters and low humidity thruout most the year
VRF system should replace all of the conventional system eventually. The efficiency gain is great. Good job guys.
Very clean ...I was also considering installing Bosh .
Looks just like a nordyne air handler Nice work bro👍👍
Nice clean work as always 👍🏻
Nice job 👍 Mr Zach "that’s pretty much it" from Nashville Tennessee.
Love how clean your installs are. Can you recommend a good surge protector (like the one shown at the end) to add onto my disconnects? Does the brand/model matter? One of my systems runs on a 20A breaker, the other is on a 30A. Are the surge protectors one size fits all?
Love the union on that ptrap
Looks great! I would lower the SS2 lower than the evaporator pan. It will never shut off and lower the SS3 bucket closer to the emergency drain pan so it takes very minimal water to shut down. Love what you do

@@bradcapps5684 it’s the worst kind of ptrap to use. Clogs easy and then look at that secondary float switch. Should’ve put a elbow and let it hold water if it ever tripped...
Clean looking job🙌🏼👍🏼
Seems like the perfect system to choose compared to other manufacturers
Zac amazing work! You are 1 of the best bro. Nothing but pride in your work and it shows! Would love to meet you at a convention sometime bro. Dyer's Affordable here from north Ga. Not to far from you. Everyone should do work like you. Take care Zac
Great installs! Would a secondary float switch angled down be better? I’ve noticed that they keep the unit off when there is a clogged drain.
If you have a 2 ton or 4 ton you can flip the J2 switch in condenser to get closer to the coil size cfm, it steps it down
Bosch works great for installers, simple, easy commissions, don’t have to be precise with unit designation, matching, etc, but they just don’t, because they are not designed to, remove humidity !!
I wish my crawl space looked like that 😂. Nice work!

Phenomenal install wow!!
Very Very nice job and workmanship! It shows that you take pride, in what you do. Thank you for sharing this. What brand and model number surge protector do you like to use on your units?
Great install bro
Really great to learn from your boots-on-the-ground experience, thanks for sharing. I've just put in an IDS 2.0 paired with my existing gas backup central furnace for heating on really cold days, but I get a pretty fierce hum/resonance from (seemingly) the indoor coil - any idea what it might be? Sounds roughly like 90 Hz resonance...
Very neat.love the way U work.
Good looking job!
Cleannnn work man. Nice.
Amazing work
Textbook installation. Very clean and neatly done jobs. By the way, do you know what kind of register vent temperature is for Bosch with a return air of 68F at 32F outdoor ambient? Or another word, the temperature rise at around 32F.
Nice looking work
Great choice with the Aprilaire filter! Glad to see part 2 of this, appears to be a great installation. Just curious what your static readings were? Have you ever used the MeasureQuick program? For me as a nerd it would be cool to see your start up numbers in real time. Great stuff!
Great work brother! 👏🏼as a commercial electrician, I really admire your work, especially that you strap your seal tight to code! 😂 Look forward to the next one! Sending a fist bump from Texas! 👊🏼🇺🇸

Great job Zack, I was wondering how much this job total cost. Thank you.
Great install. My only concern about that equipment is spare parts availability. It would suck after spending all the money and have a failure waiting for parts to be shipped.
Damn good work
Graet Vid. One of the few which appears to shows BOSCH air handler fitted with heat strips (breakers). Do you remember what size strips you used and what wire AWG & type? This detail is not included in the manual. Thoughts are to choose wire size based on the breaker? so if 60 A use either 4/3 or 6/3 Romex depending on length? Any comments?
Good job What did you use between the air handler and the secondary drain pan?
Looking at installing a Bosch 3ton 036 unit, but contractor is asking that I first install a 50amp wiring. Can't say I'm too pleased with that. I thought the old 3 ton unit would have been just fine
Nice work! What kind of surge protector do you use?
Great job
You should do a video on sizing heating load with these inverter units. Since they modulate.
How exactly does a 3ton condenser work with a 2 ton, kinda seems it'll push back a high subcooling since the evap isn't as big? Cool vid
Very nice installs. I would of ran the drain behind and around the second one
How detailed do you get on sales material list. Do you have a pre-made list or just write everything down per job.
Clean installs. You are adding electric heat strips for the defrost cycle and in the event of a outdoor unit failure.
Hey Zach just a question. What's the average supply temperature that these output?
Hi. Can I ask on the horizontal air handler what did you put between the air handler and water pan?
Very nice 👌
Nice job
Great job! Why on earth would they want the thermostat in the back of a closet though haha how bizarre

That’s great advise. Another option is to screw thin-strut to the bottom of the air handler to add strength (length-wise). That is code around here.

@Martin Heating & Cooling Hvac Trade Life I’ve ran into wayyy too many condensing furnaces with drainage issues in the secondary.
If any of the condensers are in a high wind area or heavy snow then you will be back to replace the condenser fan motor. Bosch knows about the issue and is supposedly working on a fix for it
Wondering what thermostat you are using with these units?
I was wondering how can a smaller handler runs with a higher condensing unit? I know the pair (evaporator and condensing unit) has to match or evaporator can be higher.
ZACH..How sturdy are those Bosch units? Compared to other units.
Very nice. I’m surprised you don’t put the liquid line dryer inside.
Nashville? How do you handle summer humidity with that non communicating Bosch??
Has the IDS condenser been reliable ? Any trouble calls on it?
Good job....
Are these Aprilair 20x20 or 20x25 filter cabinets used on 2ton handler?
No ball valve on primary drain line ?
Do you know any installers in north Georgia/ATL area? Also what surge protection device do you use?
How do you plan to clean out the p trap?! Why not use a tee instead of a 90 coming off the unit so then you can put the clean above the p trap
Very nice, clean work. How do those things do with dehumidification? Those air handlers have fixed speed or variable blower?
@johnwhite2576
11 ай бұрын
Fixed speed, at least not continuously variable blowers, non communicating with internal hosue comditiosn, and designed to be super energy efficient and Maintain temperature- esp in winter in dry cold climates BuT awful choice for homeowners living with humid trunk seasons. These units aren’t designed, and don’t, handle humidity well at all.
Greet job
Where’s the disconnect to the heat strips or did I miss it?
Greetings from México
Are you still using Bosch equipment? And with your experience with the equipment will the condenser work ok with another brand indoor equipment, air handler and or furnace and coil? Or does it have to have the matching air handler to properly work since there is only two condensers for all the sizes
Or for higher seer you go 2-3ton condenser and 4-5 evap
Where do you buy your pans from?
How many days would it take for 2 people to finish that job
First Class install! But why does the customer want a t-stat in the utility closet instead of the hallway? I suspect that closet will soon be cluttered with stuff that blocks the return airflow and affects the new unit’s performance. Customers aren’t always right.
Hey, I'm an HVAC tech in Hot Springs Ar. I installed a 18.5 seer Bosch 3 ton heat pump unit a little over a year ago. I've noticed some savings on my Entergy bill however, I feel it should be lower. Is there any info you could give me to help with this situation? This is my first and only time to deal with this brand. Thanks
Really great install, you ever bother using hung rite or a drain pan with the float switch ? Just curious, I work in an hvac company and we all do things differently! Love to see the diversity
