Rishi Sunak Falls Apart Over Post Brexit Immigration Question!

I don't believe Rishi Sunak backed leaving the EU based on the idea of bringing down immigration. While keeping foreigners out was a principal motiviation for many voters, people like the current Prime Minister were likely more concerned with EU laws impacting their ability to take risks. When asked by Beth Rigby of Sky News during the debate, he fall apart on the immigration aspect of Brexit.

So before Brexit the refrain was "immigration was too high". Now, years later, the refrain is "immigration is too high". So that worked well then.

Because before brexit immigration wasn't really the problem that it has become since, immigrants we're just used as scapegoats for the incompetence of the Tories so they could implement their failed right wing populist agenda & please the xenophobes.

I don´t hate everyone who voted Brexit if they had reasoned out their ideas, I just disagree with them. I.e I don´t hate the kind of people who voted for Brexit because they thought the EU was too distant and unaccountable, I just think they´re wrong. I have the same view towards them as I do towards SNP supporters, I don´t hate them, I just think they are wrong. I do hate the far right component of the Brexit vote though, and it was perhaps the biggest single component.

Sunak’s fallen apart full stop.Leaving the International D Day event finished him off.To disrespect not just British veterans, but also Canadian and American veterans as well was the icing on his cake. And he must have known how bad that looked. Can you imagine if he hadn’t turned up for Remembrance day on the 11th of November! Just imagine what the Tories and the right wing media would have done to Starmer if he’d done that? They’d have crucified him! Sunak thinks apologies cut it.Broke lockdown rules,I’m sorry, leaves the International D Day event,I’m sorry.Yet an opposition minister does something wrong, they’re wanting them destroyed.Look how they went after Angela Raynor! Sunak’s shaming himself and the sooner him and his cronies have gone…THE QUICKER!

Part of the problem with the economy is the lack of people of working age in this country and the economic situation has been made worse by losing that immigrant workforce post Brexit. Hence why the Tory government has been desperately issuing record numbers of visas. What the real underlying issue is the uk job market has had workers rights and pay eroded by successive governments, so many people with jobs can no longer afford to live, let alone afford houses and enjoy a comfortable retirement.
