Highlights from Nigel Farage’s no limits phone-in on LBC

Nigel Farage returns to the LBC studio for the first time since he left the station in 2020. He faced questions from Nick Ferrari and LBC callers as his resurgent party competes for the right-wing vote with the Conservatives.
LBC's Henry Riley takes you through the biggest moments:
00:24 "We need a coherent voice of opposition."
Farage on leading a new centre-right 'merger' of the Tories and Reform UK.
01:40 "We'll take him on!"
Wes Streeting on the prospect of facing Farage in opposition.
02:31 "These are ordinary people!"
Farage is confronted by controversial statements from his candidates.
04:59 "You're talking a pack of lies, Nigel!"
Mike in Oldham takes Mr Farage to task on one of his previous comments.
06:50 "If Brexit is a disaster, I'll go and live abroad."
Does the Reform UK leader still think Brexit has been a success?
08:51 "Mass migration is making us poorer."
'The penny is beginning to drop on migration,' Mr Farage insists.

@adamarmstrong9408 that the one in one out could ve used to solve the nhs and carers crisis even though much of the staff are immigrants. Note the lack of training our own until others brought it in. Free training of nurses and doctors is not a reform policy. Blaming the housing shortage on immigration when there are well over 700k empty homes in the UK and very little social housing being built. You could say it is part of the problem, but it is a lie that it's the major or only cause. His lies about his German passport and foreign eu pension.oh and that much of his vast inhereted is foreign. Trying to day immigration is the majority cause of crime ehen cleatly the largest demographic of criminals are white British. His poo pooing of the back log on cps and judicial cases, but then his friendship with Saville and epstein are well documented. The uk population increased 17 million in 65 years, mostly by British people. The cuts to infrastructure are at the root of issues. When invested in by Labour, waiting lists didn't increase. The UK's main export is global financial services as well rather than goods which is essentially assisting corporations like BP and Amazon exploit tax loopholes and the super rich siphon their money out of the UK to tax havens like Jersey and the Caymen Islands. So our key 'exports' aren't really much to celebrate as a nation either 😂

Or people who are for small government, low taxes, pro capitalism. Problem is there's no actual right wing libertarian type parties in Britain. They're all left socialist leaning who want a heavily government ran country with high tax. So people who want more freedom from government and less tax have very few choices to vote for. The conservatives have proven in recent years they aren't that party. Reform policies of raisng the tax threshold is very appealing for many people, especially in small businesses.
