Ringer 1 & Ringer 2 - Individual Women Event 10 - 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games

Спорт

Complete coverage of the Women's Ringer 1 and Ringer 2 from the 2019 Reebok CrossFit Games. The 10th event of the Women's Individual competition took place in the Coliseum at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison, Wisconsin, and included the following workouts:
Ringer 1 (7 Minute Time Cap): 30-20-10 reps of Air Bike (calories) and Toes-to-Rings
Ringer 2 (5 Minute Time Cap): 15-10-5 reps for time of Burpees and Overhead Squats (95 LBS)
With the field down to just 10 athletes and Tia-Clair Toomey seemingly in control of her own destiny, this dual event gave the other competitors one of their last opportunities to move up the leaderboard and in reach of the podium. Katrin Davidsdottir, a former 2x champ in her own right, was clearly up to the challenge here. Video includes a post-event recap and analysis with the Rogue Iron Game crew.

Iceland has a few peculiarities when it comes to names. First of all, Icelanders don't have family names. Secondly, one cannot take up the spouse's last name upon marriage. Thirdly, when naming a child, one has to stick to a limited list of names. How come this little island has these seemingly curious rules? Unlike most other Western countries Icelanders do not use family names but use a patronymic or matronymic reference. One's name reflects the immediate father or mother and does not refer to the person's historic family lineage. Although Iceland shares a common cultural heritage with the Scandinavian countries of Norway, Denmark and Sweden, it is only Iceland who continues to use their traditional naming system formerly common in all of Scandinavia. The last name of a male Icelanders therefore usually ends in the suffix -son (“son”) and that of female Icelanders in -dóttir (“daughter”). For example, Iceland's current president is Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, his first name is Ólafur Ragnar and his father's first name was Grímur. Ólafur's daughters are thus Guðrún Tinna Ólafsdóttir and Svanhildur Dalla Ólafsdóttir. Current Prime Minister Jóhanna Sigurðardóttir is Jóhanna, daughter of Sigurður. The patronymic reference is the traditional and most common form used in Iceland, but nowadays in times of gender equality one has the freedom of choosing the matronym instead. Popular football player Heiðar Helguson, for instance, goes by his mother's name: Helguson, son of Helga.

Im not a crossfitter but I have been a gymnast and Kipping is an exercise used in Gymnastics all the time not only as a way to generate movement and momentum but as a way to improve grip strength holding on to a ring whilst moving is far harder to do that holding yourself static. It is no surprise that gymnasts have some of the best physiques of all athletes its not wrong its just different to what a conventional gym goer would do. And believe me Ive been in Gyms and I watch people and almost everyone has terrible form.

Crossfit women needs a glute circuit. I suggest front loaded movements, which require glutes engagement. kettlebell front squats, kneel to lunge get up, split squat deadlifts alternating or rotating [KB's or sand dufflebags], side lunge deadlift alternating, sandbag sumo squats etc.
