What Ridley Scott Saw In 'Alien Romulus' And What He Said About The Film. So we always new Ridley was going to see the film way before us as he is a producer on Alien Romulus after all. I didn't expect for him to see the film so soon and his response was kind of interesting I thought. Let me know if you guys are excited by his comments or if you still have your doubts about the new film.

    Hello again. I'm feeling pretty invested in the new Alien movie as well as the series coming soon. Mainly because I love the core elements of the franchise, the good stuff. But I'm also massively aware of the high chance of it all flopping. I'm so desperate for this new entry into the Alien universe to be good, we deserve it. Please let me know how you guys feel about Ridley's comments after watching Romulus, I'd love to hear your thoughts. In the meantime, stay entertained 👍

    The original Alien was one of the great theatre experiences of my youth as was Scott's Bladerunner, so any new Alien project always catches my attention. Scott has never been particularly shy with his criticism, so an "It's great" endorsement has me cautiously optimistic for sure. I agree that the script will be what might elevate the film. It was certainly the dialogue that helped make the original so unique. Fingers crossed.

    cautiously optimistic is sensible i agree. Although i was born in 84 and missed these great films when they were making waves at the box office, or weirdly i know that bladerunner was not widely accepted for some strange reason. Watching Alien even as a kid i knew that the dialogue was different, felt more real and terrified me. I know that the cast were under a fair bit of stress while filming some of the scenes. Alien is definitely a weird cocktail of things that had the best result.
