This man has a voice that is so rich and powerful. Yet so soft and mellow. The man and his music have changed country music and will never be any better than he has done it. If you notice a lot of singers have taken a song and changed it or re-recorded it. But nobody can or ever will be able to change Ricky’s music. It’s done in a way only he could do it. He is my all time favorite and I’d put him up there with George Jones, Vern Gosdin, Merle Haggard or ANYBODY! The man and his music will live forever!

RICKY, I hope you read this. Ur beautiful vocals and music are so important. My husband knew how I love ur work. We danced to all ur work. My husband is slipping away with dementia now. When we went out, he would hold me so close and I was the luckiest woman in the world. He held me and anything going on around us went away. I listen to ur music and can still feel the special closeness that a true woman feels when her husband carries her to that special place in the heart. Ur music is a daily treat that allows me to close my eyes and remember it all. He is slipping away faster now. My heart breaks but, I do have one place to go. It's the "country pop" I don't like. In the 80s Hank Williams Jr did "country rock" but it still had that country feel about it. The garbage that they laughingly call country now is just pop with a twang , it has no signs of the Heyday of traditional country music.

Hello beautiful lady how's your day going so far...?

First time hearing this song. Very special memories I carry in my heart, my son died at the age of 27, my daughter age 22. My ex husband lost his 2 yr batte with lung cancer in February. We divorced because he fell in love with another woman and her baby after 30 years of marriage. However, I am a breast cancer survivor, will celebrate the 4th year July 15th..To God be the Glory for I learned to forgive my ex and held on to the good memories. Still the loss any parent feels when loosing a child is a type of grief that holds no words to explain. My heart breaks for them yet I know through the saving grace of my Savior, I will spend eternity with them! Great song!

Sad story you shared but I have some serious questions........when you get to heaven who's gonna get to spend eternity with your ex husband you or her? Or will it be like a threesome? Or one night at your place and one night at hers like sister wives? Or maybe there's more than the 2 of you ladies. Oh geeze. The more I think about it the more it sounds like he'll to me. Oh and what makes you think he or her will go to heaven? After all he put away his wife. There's a lot of things I can think of that's wrong with your spending eternity with everyone. Wake up there's no heaven no he'll no Santa no tooth fairy no Easter bunny and no god

So sorry about your lost and hard times Kim I'm sure those times was to make you stronger and guess you're now. I lost my son to a car accident some years ago. Got divorced also because she was into drugs and think she's can't control her self no more. my granddaughter Lucy lives with me she's my world and I love her so much.
