Yeah, be careful though. Is that his character? If he didn't create and write the character I am not sure that it is his, you might be doing him a massive disservice by saying something he didnt create is his most genius character- sure, he performed it but is it 'his' in the same way that Brian or Cumbo are?

ARL has to be the funniest character that David has ever curated, a laugh a minute..
It's great seeing David Earl as himself, because he's been in character as a sleazy bloke for almost all of his career. But what a bloody nice normal bloke. What, street?!

He’ll always be Brian Gittins to me. Found him on KZread about 18yrs ago doing little monologue’s like Brian’s Keys and knew he would be massive one day. I was right too - he’s huge, the f@t bugger. I even thought how unfair it was that Angelos had got on TV until I saw Dave in Extras and was so happy for him, then I really knew he was heading places. He’s done really well for himself - his monologue’s were so dry, and the voice coupled with that twitchy grin and adjusting the glasses, perfect nonce, wouldn’t trust him to mind my Alsatian let alone kids. So glad he’s made it - and Angelos is still running Brian’s cafe to this day. Well done Dave, you earned it mate, best ad-lib’s bar none….. “Beaverrrrrrr, labia labia labia labia, I’m walkin’ down the street with a bag full off d1ldo’s! Cheryl!!!!!!!!
