I’ve been thinking we should have a get together and a quiz on RSK. And just loads of questions like “what were Karl’s near death experiences” and stuff like that. I think I would get way too many right 😅

so glad they didn't edit this down.
Thanks to Ricky for as he says is his gift to the world aka Karl Pilkington, the banter between them is TOTAL COMEDY GOLD! I really wish they'd start doing the Ricky Gervais show with Stephen MERCHANT (the cartoon version) as well because the 3 of them together is just AMAZING!! 😂😅❤
7:29 shows to me that Ricky truly loves Karl as a brother, 'cos who would seriously get that annoyed at not knowing someone's favourite book
So nice to finally see this in HD!! Thank you!
21:34 Comedy gold with out trying. I love Carl's logic. The pet hate had me laughing so hard , my stomach hurt.
hahahaha I love the interviewer trying not to laugh
Found it in HD. Nice.
I never thought I'd see a HD version of this, I thought it was impossible, I had to do a double take
@20:55 warms by heart when Karl has a laugh
I love these 3 guys. Karl, Ricky and Stephen Merchant are just brilliant.
He makes a scary sort of sense at time 😂 This is brilliant
The “wonderful tonight” part has me crying, Ricky saying that Karl believes it’s about a disabled fella due to the line “she puts him to bed” 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
Thk u boys for the laughs. Listen to u all the time.❤
Tears in my eyes over the end lol. Fuckin hell.
The shapeshifting discussion is up there with the funniest conversations they're ever had hahah

I dno, his shapeshifting answers are pretty moronic even for Karl - and he picked the superpower! doesn't make sense!
20:52 the rare pilkington laugh, brilliant
I have legit tears in my eyes from the superpower part
These two are gifts that keep on giving 😂😂😂
Karl is so funny. Ricky is lucky to have him
In fairness, Karl was right about the bluebottle/dolphin bit. Shapeshifting as a superpower would only involve transforming yourself into a different shape or creature. It wouldn't also magically involve teleporting yourself somewhere else where that creature thrives or typically inhabits. So turning into a dolphin in the middle of London (whether on dry land or in the nearest polluted river) would probably be much more grim than Ricky's vision of being one out in the open oceans! 😂
@Evravon

But you're a shapeshifter. You don't have to turn into a Dolphin in the middle of London. You could become a falcon and fly wherever you want, then go become a dolphin in the ocean...
@rensbrand5176

I had never heard of the term blue bottle before, but it seems to be a jellyfish like creature. How would that thrive in London any better than a dolphin would?

It's a type of fly that is most often seen during spring/summer in the UK, buzzing around food, bins or poo mainly "calliphora vomitoria" is the scientific name of it.
"This is coming from the man that puts sausages in a toaster" "Good point..." Hes more self aware than most people
18:40 fast forward a couple years and Ricky plays a dolphin in family guy 😂
Karl isn't that odd at all. We've all done weird things out of innocence. I remember putting on a Superman 🦸♂️ costume as a child and spent about 25 minutes in my grandma's garden trying to fly. She said when I came back in, I wasn't sad but just really disappointed. "I can't fly, grandma." 😂😂
A sloth, so you can dream about being something else. A butterfly, so if you're not enjoying it you'll be dead in 24 hours. A bluebottle, so once you're finished throwing up and being sick on shit, you'll feel better about your life 😂

Guy asking the questions needs a mic
I read Claptons book, he wrote Wonderful Tonight because he was bored while waiting for Pati to get ready for a night out. He picked up a guitar n wrote the song while waiting for her to get ready.
hahhahaahah 17:00 he'd be a sloth so he can sleep all the time and imagine not being a sloth, or he'd be a butterfly so he can die if he doesn't enjoy it. THAT'S HIS DESIRED SUPERPOWER. hahahah

It is 2024. So over 10 yrs since this was uploaded let alone recorded but … The trouble with Ricky is…he is brilliant at understanding the human condition and writing about it as his TV series and movies over the years since these days have shown. He has also been generous to many actors since The Office days and so many have gone on to greater accolades. He has stayed true to his beliefs about animal welfare and being a vegan etc and also his relationship with Jayne has endured for 40 yrs which says a lot about both of them. He is now very rich…his own words…but generous to charity. He has strong views on many things including the philosophical questions like religion and god/evolution etc. He is very conversant with certain areas of science and understands many concepts that others don’t. But…and it is a big but…though he believes it is crazy how we have become so sensitive about certain things and taken “being woke” to an extreme; he feels it is okay to poke fun at everything and nothing is off limits; though he ridicules himself even for being a bit over weight etc; he would not for one second allow anyone else to ridicule him while to him everyone else is fair game. It is this one thing that turns me off him as a man. As my mother would have said…if you give it…you have to take it and he cannot!
Omg, Im dying 😂😂😂😂 Butterfly for one day... and then u die 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The amount of shite spoken at the end is excellent 😂❤️
“In London?” He’s got you there Rick🤣
I would have thought that Karl's favourite food would be oranges... because, after all, you are what you eat :D

Invisibility is the worst super power ever. Purely because you wouldn't be able to see where you was going because the light wouldn't be able to reflect off your eyes. Shape shifting is awesome though, basically the same coz you could just shape shift in to a plant or something and nobody would see you.
