I think they keep laughing because its an offensive thing to say to someone and the line is delivered with real disgust. Which is what makes it funny! Its also a relatable character for a lot of people as they have heard stories like that told by nobheads down the pub

David Earl as Brian in this is my favourite character. He is soo sleazy but funny too, When he says “ I was in a Haze” I couldn’t control myself 😂.I love this show and these outtakes are pure gold. The whole cast are magic together absolutely love Kath ❤️.

This looks like so much fun to work at making. The show is outstanding; just finished season 3 and it's an emotional rainbow. Absolutely brilliant. Ricky, between The Office, your hosting of the Golden Globes (every year you did), your stand-ups that I've seen, I must say, you are a brilliant comedian and I have been blessed to have been a viewer. When ever I'm feeling down, nothing makes me laugh out loud (even in public) like Ricky Gervais, Shaun Lock (rip) or Bob Mortimer. The holy trinity! 👍

I didn't like him in the 2nd series, obviously you're not supposed to like him, I mean I just thought it was crass, too much, too unsubtle and not funny. These outtakes though had me crying, especially the bit in the pub where they were just riffing out names.

Working on set with this crew would have to be the best job in the world, where trying not to laugh is the biggest challenge. Absolutely loved the show.

I'm non English speaker but I laughed at every jokes because of how unpredictable they were. I enjoy the famous British Humor so much because of this show.

Don’t feel bad mate, I’m American and although the language is the same, the British culture is far different than us, so a lot of it is initially lost on us as well 😅😂

I bet after a while it gets annoying. Just look at some of the actors forced laughter.

It's a miracle they can even finish shooting a season on time.

I just finished season 3 of After Life and loved it. I binge watch all 3 seasons in 3 days, I am on holidays. I could not get enough, such an amazing series. Congratulations x

Whenever I have a bad day I watch this!

I don't think a show will ever match what this show does. It makes me feel so human. Tears followed by outrageous laughter, followed by tears, every episode. Ricky Gervais is amazing.

Great character, excellent actor, and is there a cuter smile on the face of this planet or what? I just love him.

Imagine this as your day job!! Just pissing yourself laughing all day. Gervais is a comedy genius. Can't wait for series 3.

Ricky is THE most genuine, real, funny person. Love, love him. It would be a dream to meet you Mr. Gervais

They need to have these scenes as a last episode of the series, I watched this 5 times its a medicine for the soul

I was absolutely howling at Ratty and the Nonce outtakes. Those two were in this season for one scene and stole it. You could tell they were improvising which makes it even better

This is a treasure trove of gold... One of the funniest, sad, dramatic... Just packed full of everything shows I have ever seen. Perfection.

My favourite character was the counsellor. ‘Just don’t worry about it mate’. Depression cured 😂👍🏼

Watching him in the elephant joke scene corpsing at every take I thought, he's not even on camera, why doesn't he just leave the room? His directing technique looks like sabotaging each take then saying, "Go again". 😂 But I guess that's how he gauges things; it has to be nearly impossible not to laugh so he can guarantee a high standard.

I love how Ricky gives licence to the actors to just ad lib. Main reason he laughs in most of these is because he’s never heard the line before. Seen loads of people on previous outtakes like Derek saying “why does he laugh so hard on lines he wrote” well he didn’t write them 😕

I love this series, can't wait for no 3. Ricky Gervais can be a little uncouth, but I adore him, his comedy his passion for animal welfare and saying what he thinks, whether people like it or not. That's the brilliance of RICKY.

He's not passionate about animal "welfare"; he's passionate about animal rights, which is what everyone needs to be passionate about. Animal welfarists still believe in abusing and torturing animals for food, entertainment, clothing etc ... But they want them to be treated as humanely as possible, which is bullshit. Animal rights' activists (which Ricky is and myself) believe that animals have rights (which they do), and should not be eaten, abused or used for humans entertainment, clothing or medical research.

This really is the most joyous thing to watch

This is so so needed in lockdown. I haven’t laughed so much for ages
