    Check out the Ricky Gervais Show, especially when Ricky and Steve are talking philosophy with Karl. I'd always wondered if it was just one of those smart-guy things that Ricky just kind of knew a lot about philosophy but it's even more interesting now that I know he had a degree in it

    It explains why he ended up in career that had nothing to do with his degree, there's very little in this world less useful (and more costly) than a degree in philosophy. Something I realised after taking 1 semester of it. Better to just read a book, less expensive and less full of itself

It's a very nice attribute to care about not hurting people's feelings and being empathetic in that way, but it's also important that people are meeting the real you and hearing your real thoughts too.     North Americans call Soccer because when the British introduced Football to them, they introduced as "Association Football". Socc. The "er" was because UK adds "er" so it can be easily associated to a act. It's more complicated than that, but in short The British made them say "Soccer" instead of Football. Now why NA calls a game where people only kick the ball once I have no clue.

American's call 'soccer' soccer because of the following reason, (yours was parttially correct) but also to contrast it with basketball and baseball, where the use of contacting the ball with the foot was NOT permitted. 2nd.     @@psychedelicpain420 in that situation, bad ones definitely do. That's why when writing you take to people that you think might know what they're doing and get their response. I compose music as a hobby and my friends and I will occasionally play a game I call composer's chess where we write a small idea and then tje next person builds on it. It's good practice for helping each other when stuck or we have writer's block or any other writing hold ups.

    Such a great humble man. His show "Afterlife" makes me cry then smile. His character, Tony, decides to continue living, but it gets hard at times. So hard that he thinks of committing suicide many times. Season 3 is almost here. It's really great for those who have lost someone close and can connect with Tony.

    This man is such a legend...for me the podcast is the best thing he’s done, also extras, if you haven’t seen them then I highly recommend !
