Because in normal society you don't just go around saying exactly what you think with no care for anyone else or else you'd end up on youtube like half of Ricky's fans socially isolated because they don't feel they have to adjust themselves for anyone, there's a difference between giving yout genuine opinion and actively seeking to denounce people or belittle them as Ricky's explanation is nothing but a cop out, he does that in his act yeh but he wouldn't dare do that to people in person in everyday life I know he doesn't cos Ive seen him he apologises and holds his tongue etc etc.@@gezzaschannel

I am nearly 80 and Ricky brings joy to my life. Bless him.

So, my first thoughts of the people are, as I commented earlier, almost always 'stiff upper lip', almost always followed by, 'eh, Jeeves?' Second thoughts contrary to the first follow almost immediately but my comments on KZread are generally my first thoughts.

It's a bit more nuanced I think. Ricky is clearly a smart guy, but he's also very full of himself sometimes. If you ever watched the Ricky Gervais show(with Karl) you often find him misunderstanding things and misquoting "scientific" dilemmas and such. He thinks of himself very highly even though the last few years it's gotten a bit less bad.

I haven't seen any proof for any of that besides the point about white supremacists and they are an insanely minute percentage of the right wing, I also believe racism is far more common and accepted among the left in america nowadays. Your characterization of the radical left as "people who are overly sensitive to social issues." can only be attributed to partisanship or ignorance. The radical left has become increasingly more hostile and often times violent towards people with social or political views that don't align with their own, for example Maxine Waters recent statements "if you see anybody from that cabinet in a restaurant, in a department store, at a gasoline station you get out and you create a crowd. And you push back on them and you tell them they're not welcome anymore, anywhere" or the fact that Ben Shapiro needed 600 police officers to protect him against anti-free speech protesters and antifa types. While we're taking about free speech, you haven't happened to have read the recent New York Times article titled "How Conservatives Weaponized the First Amendment"?

Dylan Mcnally, this may have been the most pathetic thing I’ve read on the internet today. The right is constantly ranting and raving about the most depraved shit in a much larger minority than those horrible leftist scum who talk about forming protests and occasionally punch somebody. Conservatism is literally about tradition over objectivity. You have to spend most of your time eating up propaganda to think that the left is causing anywhere near the kind of idiocy and chaos the right is. You guys have Alex Jones, the westboro Baptist church, the kkk (and yes actual racism is much more accepted in the right. The “racism” in the left has to do with minorities being granted too many rights or some stupid shit).

Sean, your job is incredibly difficult to do, much less do well. You do it wonderfully. You're charming, funny, sensitive, accurate, patient and so respectful. Hats off to you!

@@emmanuelestrada23 lets put it this way, if you get a burger at McDonald's its almost always disappointing, just like a lot of interviews, a lot of em are pretty lazy with shallow questions. If you get a really good burger at McDonald's it means that the cook/employee that made it was involved and caring, just like sean is a really good interviewer, involved and really well researched

The question about roasting celebrities.... I wonder how he'd answer after Will Smith's meltdown. Ricky's point on removing the religious and science books is spot on. Ask 10 Christians to describe God and you'll get 10 different answers and beliefs. Ask 10 scientist to determine that chemical reactions in a closed container do not alter total mass and from these observations they will establish the law of conservation of mass. Sean Evans is an excellent interviewer.
