Let’s be honest. If Nolan directed The Avengers it would be a great film, not an admittedly entertaining but nevertheless shallow superhero flick series.

Nolan is notoriously famous for avoiding interviews, so having RDJ bring out a more fun side to him is really heartwarming.

@@nem3732 it's because they stopped showing their range, when you look at their smaller movies you can see they are plenty talented but the big movies they do sometimes only show one single side of that talent. Tbh it's less true for RDJ now that Oppenheimer has been released, but Ryan Reynolds hasn't gotten out of his comfort zone in a bit.

Robert Downey Jr is that guy who'll light up your mood no matter how down you are just by being himself. And the fact that he's making Nolan laugh so effortlessly-

The amount of contribution to superhero movies these 2 legends gave in the year 2008 is immeasurable. They literally paved the way for DCEU and MCU

The thing I've always loved about Robert Downey Jr. as an Actor is that despite his growing age, he never ceases to tone down his inner child. Truly an amazing actor and person.

They are the embodiment of a pair of extroverted-introverted friends 😂. RDJ is talking to everybody in the room and the camera (an endearing performer he is), and Chris Nolan just talks directly to him. RDJ throws all kind of fun stuff in the conversation and Nolan, the man who's always behind the camera, just answers with the most important part and listens and laughs at RDJ's jokes. I think RDJ says it best when it comes to Nolan and how everyone sees him: He has an air of mistique and seems so imposing because we all see him as "one of the best movie directors in the world" and we forget that he's just a man doing what he loves, the best way he cans. This video helped me see what RDJ was able to experience by working with Nolan.

"Like a sister that you may have... made out with a few times." This is absolutely golden. If I ever get the chance to use that line, I hope that I remember it, because RDJ nailed it.

The chemistry between these two legends is soo beautiful to watch. One is excited but serious, while the other is serious but excited.

idk, i find him to be really annoying, but different strokes for different folks i guess. Nolan is a classy guy, of course, he is laughing when RDJ is joking around, it's a simple matter of courtesy and not being a deadpan salt statue.

RDJ said "How come your brother doesn't have your accent" and when Nolan misquoted him, he just turned to the camera and said "You're right." What a class act

As a long time Nolan fan, this is just happiness overload.

It's kinda wild to see these two working together, since their movies seemed to be constantly competing directly against each other for over a decade.

Well Nolan had only worked on The Dark Knight trilogy and produced Man of Steel (2008-2013 if going by when the MCU started) so that wouldn't really be a decade of competing with Marvel.

RDJ might be the only person on earth that can make Nolan laugh and smile. Legitimately have never seen this side of him. I hope we see more RDJ in future Nolan movies! What a perfect casting.

These men did an amazing job delivering us one of the most impactful, thought provoking films of the summer. It was a genuine pleasure to watch this film and see the cast and crew create magic. I was genuinely glued to my seat and enjoyed every moment of Oppenheimer. Thank you!

The fact that Robert Downey Jr. brought up The Dark Knight vs Iron Man in 2008 shows how much fans teased him about it over the years or he’s just that brilliantly aware of his competition ❤️

Downey's sincere veneration of Oppenheimer and Nolan's response was so sweet and touching. This is one of the best of these I've seen, they have such great chemistry

Chris was amazing, when we were at school, he was always silent, never answered any question, we thought he is weired, but I thought, that this man will be genius in a specific field and today he becomes one of the best directors that been in our history. Helloya Chris.

The fact RDJ can get Christopher Nolan and Cillian Murphy to laugh in these interviews just shows how entertaining he is

I don't think I've ever seen Christopher Nolan laugh that hard and it feels so good to see it

I love the Oppenheimer press tour, it is so rare to see Christopher Nolan do these kind of interviews.

Oppenheimer is a masterpiece. 10/10!

This is perfect!!! Whoever put them together should get a triple salary raise. One is comedic/ playful but serious & Nolan is serious with a deep sense of humor

All the interviews with the whole cast of Oppenheimer have all been fantastic. They all seem to have loved making this film. Chris Nolan seems so down to earth, a smart man but seems like he could have a conversation with anyone. And RDJ is brilliant, funny and also seems down to earth. Can’t wait to see Oppenheimer at the movies tomorrow.

Never seen Nolan laugh during an interview. Got to say Robert Downey Jr is a friend you need who does all jokes and Nolan as a friend who laughs on them. I even love when Nolan imitates RDJ while throwing the board. 😅
