Oppenheimer is a masterpiece. This was the most I have ever prepped for an interview and I still felt unprepared. Thanks to cast and Mr. Nolan for letting a movie fan live a dream for 30 mins. Pls see it on the largest screen possible, it will literally take ur breath away.

The entire cast was outstanding to be fair. It's hard to pick out the amount of outstanding performances that litter this film. Feel almost bad not mentioning anyone, just outstanding

5:50 Emily's quote of from the book immediately made me think of her scene towards the end during the "trial" when she is being questioned and she absolutely OWNS Roger Robb by making him look foolish while he's trying to do the same to her. This is one of the greatest ensemble performances of all time, possibly number one to me.

Agreed. I was 45 minutes into it and thought, "Wow, the cast is killing it!" Further on, Emily was just stellar. I know they're some of the best actors of our time, but I think actually being on a set and not in front of a green screen really pulled out a quality in their performances we don't see anymore. Josh Hartnett shined in his role, as well.

*An interviewer that actually did their research, had insightful, thoughtful questions, and didn't interrupt the interviewees all while keeping a good flow of the conversation. Why don't we more of this?*

The interviewers for BBC Radio 1 are all fantastic, but I agree that most of the rest fall far behind. Jacqueline Coley, though, could easily get a job at BBC Radio 1. She was fantastic.

It’s one of those rare films. You walk away and your head is absolutely spinning. I genuinely had a headache after watching it (don’t let that put you off though). It just had so much weight, so much suspense, and so many fantastic performances. It’s such an important film. It’s about accountability, ethics, brilliance, genius, innovation, infidelity, marriage, opening a door you can’t close, and about being the hero one day, and the villain the next. Completely fair to argue that he was both. You can’t deal in absolutes here. There’s a lot of grey. Masterpiece

I know Cillian gets his flowers here but my god, it cannot be overstated how brilliant he is as an actor. He's really the only person i have ever seen portray the complexity of humans and hiding their emotions so incredibly well.

I would have to wholeheartedly agree here. He's always been great in film roles even in the early days, but I feel he really came into his own on Peaky Blinders. And witnessing him fully flesh out Oppenheimer's portrayal like that on the big screen... My God. Absolutely stunning performance

His performance in Peaky Blinders is extremely underrated. It's a must watch. Note that later in the series, a cast member dies from cancer, and so the entire series just sort of fades into mediocrity, due to the cast and filmmaking crew going through mourning. It's still worth watching all the way through though.

I love how Matt Damon wants to talk about the movie. Not like someone who took part in creating this masterpiece, but as spectator watching it from the sidelines. Amazing movie, cast, even sound effects. I’m so impressed, saddened and in love with this story at the same time.

@@davidlovesfilm I think she did best than many pros. The fact that she did not know about the editor reveals that she´s kind of new in the game, but she was natural acknowledging it. Sort of a movie-fan asking honest questions. And the actors&director responded positively to that. The result, in my view, is a very smooth and nice to watch kind of atmosphere. I think some pros might be better off unlearning some couple of extra, unnecessary stuff.

This interviewer is honestly one of the best I’ve seen! She kept control of the conversations while also giving the actors all the time and space to express themselves. The way she would tailor each ending note to the next question also made the interview feel free flowing. Just incredible!

10/10 for the interviewer. I really liked her questions and engagement. it takes someone to get Cillian Murphy talking 😅

A huge part of being a movie star, like cruise, is even making press junkets come alive like this one. Credit to an incredible interviewer as well! This was a treat.

I cannot cannot stress this enough, SHE IS THE BEST INTREVIEWER I have seen in the longest time. Best Interview, no crass no gimmick, just sharp perfect questions that we want to listen answered as a nolan audience. LOVE HER

Murphy is outstanding in the film. It was a big ask to spearhead this ambitious film and Cillian made it look like it was the most natural thing for him. RDJ was a standout also. The cast, in general, was absolutely perfect.

matt damon, despite being on the film itself, looked more excited than us, he was so happy and enthusiastic to explain the movie/experience

Oppenheimer is a movie made by a master in complete control of his art. It is a colossal movie. Made by people that care about films. Amazing experience.

What I love about this cast in interviews is that you could see the much love and respect they have for each other and they make each other laugh, which is the most important thing I ask for in a coworker 😂

A real class act by the interviewer Jacqueline Coley. She knew the relevant details about the movie as well as Oppenheimer's life and posed topical, meaningful, and intelligent questions that kept everyone interested, all while switching effortlessly from one person to another. Overall, she struck a fine balance giving everyone their moment in the sun, without letting anyone overpower or dominate the conversation. Those are some of the smartest people in the room and to hold their own against them in something they've worked on is phenomenal. Quality stuff!

I saw this film two nights ago and I am STILL awestruck at how brilliant ALL the performances were but I must say that Robert Downey Jr is superb!! HE MUST get an Oscar for this role as well as Cillian as Oppenheimer!! LOVE this movie!!!!!!

Totally agree with you about Cillian! I began with Disco Pigs and he was mind blowing in that and in the very early On the Edge! He's masterful and so very modest ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I found the interviewer Jacqueline absolutely brilliant - intelligently constructed questions delivered in such a tactful yet honest way! Edit: Now that I am comment-famous - I'd like to say I really would like Chris Nolan to appear on Lex Fridman. I think that would be a top-notch interview.

Very. His films have been pre-text to real world issues before. Dark knights foreign policy. Inception and Interstellar have influences culture far more than people realize. The guy lays foundations for others to build and I think that’s part of it

Cillian Murphy should win an Oscar for this performance, I saw the movie yesterday, he blew away Matt Damon, and Robert Downey on the screen, what a talent!

This interview had everything, above all else class. She constructed it so well. The actors and Chris responded well. RDJ is a superb actor. He was overlooked for Chaplin, so hopefully this will bring his much deserved oscar and accolades, as well as the rest of the cast and crew. Would love to see him work together on more projects with Chris Nolan

Okay, So she needs to do every interview from here on out. On every channel. Well done.

Seeing Cillian's timid and almost sheepish nature and comparing that to his Thomas Shelby character is really something else. One of our generation's elite actors.

I like that Cilian works with people he is friends with. From Danny Boyle to Chris Nolan to working in tiny unknown plays in Ireland. He always has time to do the big stuff and the little stuff because he trusts the hands of certain directors and ignores the rest of the schlock that Hollywood pumps out.

Cillian, RDJ, Matt and Emily…what a cast. This movie is gonna be historical and amazing

I hope everyone here has seen "28 days later".

This movie made me think more critically about a situation in human history that I knew about but never really understood it in a way where emotionally I’m shocked at the way innocent life’s were just deleted.

Never have I witnessed such a great interview for a movie. This interviewer found the right balance, sustained engagement and respect for the subject and cast in such a professional and considered way. One can even feel the respect the cast and Nolan have for the conductor of this conversation. Well done - I could watch this type of interaction all day! Jacqueline Coley you deserve the greatest success!

Kudos to the interviewer Jacqueline Coley for asking incredibly deep and entertaining questions. This by far the best cast interview I've ever seen. They are so professional, courteous & respectful of each others comments & space. Their love of this film and for Christopher Nolan is palpable.

one of my favourite interviews ever. u can just tell how passionate the cast is about this film and its so enjoyable to listen to them talk and laugh. the interviewer asked rly thought provoking questions and its just brilliant

What made this interview so enjoyable to me was that it was nothing like an interview and more like watching a group of articulate and intelligent friends having a robust conversation.

I feel as if Cillian being a supporting actor in a lot of Nolan's films were just stepping stones. Nolan waiting for the perfect opportunity to cast him in a leading role. That time has come, and I cannot see anyone else who can portray Oppenheimer. I can sense awards/critical acclaim for Cillian's performance in what I think is going to be one of, if not, Nolan's best film to date.

Great movie but was extremely slow paced. If the screen time was cut down by by 30 minutes, it would have been brilliant. Few scenes were too bland and slowed down the film.

What a great interviewer! She's erudite, she's asking very interesting questions while at the same time giving everyone enough space to go into the details and everyone has their time to shine. Brilliant!

It's impressive - to see such amazing people diligently working on something for several years, and now we have the chance to absorb 3 hours of this perfect content...

This is what you call an interviewer, a fan, a smile, respectful, knowledgeable about her subject, articulate in her words… questions that matter! I really hope more interviewers take a page from her book and understand that people are not entertained by triggering disrespectful interviews. I love how invested she is in the art and how she carries herself like an absolute professional! Bravo

I absolutely loved the interviewer and Matt Damon here !!! The enthusiasm both of them exhibited for the movie (her while asking astute and sharp questions and Matt while answering them)during the interview is infectious and clearly shows how invested all of them are... Matt's line of answering is captivating and forces the audience/viewers to think. Absolutely loved it.

This interview is a brilliant example of wise facilitation of the group conversation by the interviewer, and every person respecting every other's space and spotlight. Total harmony and a natural flow of discussions. Beautiful.

Robert’s impersonation of Nolan was spot on 😂😂

I love how Nolan just stays observant throughout the conversation, shows everything he wanted to say has been said in his work and craft. Now he just stays quite as the rest conversate and takes in the art he crafted.

This is one of the best interviews I’ve ever seen, honestly. You had great questions which really allowed the actors to go deep and express their thoughts and passion for the project. You also did a fabulous job of making sure to give every person there their due. Nice job guiding the conversation. Your preparation paid off! It was great!

You can probably find thousands of comments saying how good the interviewer was, but damn! She killed it. So sharp, not awkward, kept the conversation going. I see in so many other interviews that the cast is almost falling asleep being asked the same boring questions. Good job Jacqueline, you did so freaking good. Best interview I have ever seen in a long time.

Emily Blunt is a stunning individual,a positive and humble actress.

Christopher Nolan is nothing short of brilliant. Every time an actor/actress talks about him it’s always positive. I’m very excited to see Nolan and the rest of the cast take over the cinema world again.

Thank you Jacqueline Coley!This is an amazingly entertaining interview, full of candor and refreshing wit. If only all interviews could be of this caliber. I can’t imagine guiding a nuanced, intellectual discussion with a big group of so much talent!

Interviewer is awesome, Nolan made an amazing movie, Cillian Murphy deserves an oscar.. And its also great to see the actors gushing about how awesome the movie is, they're so proud of each other for their respective roles in creating this masterpiece

Oppenheimer, Inception and Interstellar are my fav Nolan movies. Truly immersive experience. Nobody is talking, on their phone. Just glued to the screen. Every second matters...

One of the best decisions is both the character and casting of Alden Ehrenreich as the Senate Aide and in a way playing a guide for the audience. His emotions are geniune and show what's hidden behind a simple smile from eager to sarcastic.

This movie was excellent. Cillian was fantastic and Downey Jr gave a masterful performance and deserves a Supporting Actor nom if not win. One of Nolan's best and another masterpiece under his belt.

Truly one of the best-researched, nuanced, respectful of the craft, and well-guided interviews I've ever watched

Nolan wants us to stay informed and knowledgable. We want to be challenged by cinema at its very best. Masterpieces/ genius. Intellectual, instinctual and emotional.

Great actors & still not having ego that they’re not the lead but the support of Cillian’s oppenheimer shows us the kind of respect Nolan has in the filmmaking industry. Not many filmmakers of the world have this respect that oscar winning lead actors want to support another person in the lead.

Awesome film. Incredible performances. Very insightful interview. Chris Nolan is just a tremendous presence. I have to give major props to Jacqueline Coley - just a great interview. Smart, funny, capable. Accomplishes being a professional AND being a fan brilliantly. This was a CLINIC on how do an interview like this with A listers while hitting all the necessary points and letting the stars share the stage equitably.......jacqueline Coley is a star!!

You need to give her a raise! The interview is so great that i have to think how many times i've watched interviews done like hers.
