Thanks, MAMO - those are handsome! For the price, what's not to like about these pencils? The sure sounded quiet, so you can just tell you are getting a smooth line on the paper - and dark. What a bargain! Thanks for letting us know about these!

I guess I sort of expected these Deli pencils to be cheaper. I guess I'm spoiled by most things I buy on Aliexpress. Still, the fact that you can buy 10 pencils and have them shipped to you from China for less than $2 is amazing. I still prefer to buy American made when I have a realistic alternative so I pretty much only use Musgrave pencils.

@@ma-mo They may be $1. I did a quick search and saw one listing for $1.96 (plus $1.99 shipping actually, so almost $4 total) but there are probably other listings for less. Still tough to see how they make a profit on that. Perhaps they don't and their goal is to decimate Amazon, like how Amazon decimated US retail. Pretty much everything Amazon sells these days is anonymous brand stuff lifted straight out of Aliexpress.

I see Deli has delivered yet another sleeper hit of a pencil. At US$2 for 10, that makes for 20 cents per unit, so not _the_ cheapest around, but I don't know how much a 2B grade pencil of decent quality goes for in the CONUS so I cannot judge the price. The simplicity of unpainted pencils pleases me. Just a wood case and a graphite core, no fuss no muss. I gotta wonder why we even paint them anymore now that we don't really need paint to preserve the wood. *Footnote:* The binder for graphite lead is rarely clay these days. The more common binder is a mix of polymers, that have the benefit of making the pencil even smoother. Sure, you'd expect that from mechanical pencils (AKA Pentel with its "Hi-Polymer" line of leads, it's in the very name), but woodcase pencils also get in on the party.

No clay?! Do you mean to tell me I did not, in fact, Return to Nature? I feel a bit misled. If they weren't such nice pencils I'd send them back. But yes, it would be hard to beat that price for such a nice pencil. And now it looks like $0.99 US, with free shipping.

@@ma-mo Yes, and I'm sorry for their false advertising. 🤪 Ok, for one buck it's totally unjustifiable to pass up on these. A dime for a wonderful writing experience is not something a pencil or writing fan can ignore.

I was rather expecting a review of twist-ties.

The title of my channel is ambiguous enough so that I feel justified in doing that, should I see a need for it. I'd likely have that field all to myself.
