*Witch with g-fuel patron, but close enough. (the 3.5 warlock class wasn't a part of the OGL, and Paizo wasn't legally able to port it into Pathfinder, so they made the Witch class instead, but flavor-wise, it's the same thing even though it plays more like a wizard with a familiar mechanically.)

😂 Yah, Pathfinder is kinda like that. Did Pathfinder for like 6 years because 4e was, um, well it was 4e, and we were worried 5e was going to be worse (plus we already had a stack of Pathfinder books and didn't want to shell out for a new system). Switched to 5e a year and a half ago when I took over as DM, so much less complicated.

His race is Dhampir cause of another comment noting his sharp teeth and that we haven't seen him outside like other D&Dtubers.

Y'know, it's been a year but I wanna point out technically Nonat1's actually saying he's NOT. Ganzi are like the chaos equivalent to aasimars / tieflings (Aphorite being the lawful ones and duskwalkers *kind of* being the neutral ones). So yeah, he's actually not a full human (Versatile heritage = subrace any race can take and used to fill races which are more augmentations of something else than their own thing, so you can have your gnome tiefling)

I have run a max-level campaign where everyone just brings whatever they want at whatever I can throw at them (mob rules for tarrasques, anyone?) and I had one player who took that a bit too literally and level 20 multi-classed into every class. Except mystic, thankfully.

12:57 in pathfinder there’s 4 traditions of magic, arcane, divine, primal, occultism. primal being nature (idk if that’s in dnd) and occultism is more of the psychic/ritual magic used by bards and witches. think baba yaga

Lol. It's basically D&D 3.5 but extra crunchy with a side of infinite canonical homebrew. The games are really similar because Pathfinder grew out of 3.5 as a result of a combination of intellectual property lawsuits and the creation of 4e. Let's put it this way: if you have played Pathfinder, you will be able to learn D&D 5e in roughly 10 minutes. If you played 5e, then you'll probably only need like 5 sessions to remember how to calculate your attack rolls or how many things you can do in your turn.

Why is the DND fandom so wholesome

Pathfinder is what I play. Its strength is how easy it is to specialize. Any specific character is very easy to make, especially if you're aware of all the third party content.

Alternate theory: If we believe Jacob that the wizard is an independent entity from him then the wizard could use the cloning spell to make several copies of himself. I would then argue that the spell animate dead would work on a clone without a soul in it yet. Using those 2 spells the wizard could easily make several copies of himself to do his bidding.

These ads are on point - as soon as NoNat drops the class, commercial for the Nissan Rogue.

I really like NoNat (and you :P). As a perpetual DM and also a "theater kid", this video was amazing between two independent creators who love tabletops. I also love the "He knows more about me than some of my close friends." In D&D I'd call that just having a really high wisdom and proficiency (or even expertise) in insight. I think Caduceus from CR is a good real life model of a lot of good DMs. They can read people incredibly well, but figuring out their own crap isn't their forte.
